I end up using a couple sprays to really get a good layer down. I’m allergic to adhesive — I think to the rosin in adhesive — so any time I need to wear a bandage for more than a day or two, I use this Cavilon. It’s a GODSEND. The rash and irritation from adhesive would often be more unpleasant, gross, itchy, and longer-lasting than whatever the bandage was covering, but this stuff completely prevents that reaction from occurring.I’ve used both the spray and the wipes, and I prefer the wipes. I find it’s easier to get a really complete, solid barrier down with the wipes, when the spray is sort of scattershot, not going down evenly and just generally going all over the place. I end up using a couple sprays to really get a good layer down, and it’s always bigger than the bandaid or tape that I need to apply, just by the nature of the spray. It’s also tough to use by yourself, unless you’re spraying your own forearm, or something. The wipes get more goo on your fingertips, and they feel wasteful, but they result in a much better application. I used a quick swipe of rubbing alcohol to clean off any buildup when I’d notice it forming (like you would normally when wearing bandaids for extended times).I find this stuff to be mildly sticky (definitely not not-sticky), and it works amazingly to prevent adhesive allergies. This stuff really saved the day when I had a big burn that needed to be covered in gauze, and after I had a mole removed and needed to wear a bandaid for a week. HIGHLY recommended.

Great but stick kind better. I’d give all 5’s for the kind on the stick. I don’t want to take too many stars away from this spray kind only cuz I do not want to discourage people from getting this product in general. It is good. I just don’t care for the spray version. I’d rather have it on the stick & have it be a little thicker than just a lite sprayed on layer… I bought this severe diaper rash. My youngest was hospitalized a year ago for Rotavirus & basically had the worst diaper rash I’ve ever seen in my life. He was admitted to the children’s hospital for a week for his dehydration. To aide us with healing his skin & preventing even worse rash, they had this. It was like a little sponge on a stick & we used it in conjunction with a stoma powder. It would look weird on his skin but I did NOT care as long as it helped with his pain & healing. He was sick & hospitalized one other time & just in general has very sensitive skin. So I bought this myself to use whenever. For some reason they don’t just give it out, the doctors, but I just looked it up after a while. Wish I’d thought to get it online a long time ago. This still worked ok but I didn’t think it was thick enough in the spray form & required much more time. Next time I’d just get the little stick applicators. Other than that this is amazing.

Pediatric Dermatologist recommended for persistent diaper rash and worked like a charm. Many expensive diaper rash creams, prescriptions, fancy diapers, and specialty wipes later, and we finally saw a pediatric dermatologist who recommend this product once or twice a day (always at night and optionally first thing in the morning). Applied one or two sprays before adding diaper cream. Let it dry for a few seconds and it creates an excellent moisture barrier. Solved our problems until she finally potty trained. Highly recommend!
For pets. My bunny is incontinent and she had urine scald on her leg. My vet recommended this for her. It seems to work well where her fur fell out. The skin is no longer red and inflamed. It’s now just a healthy pink. I tried spraying a little on my arm and it was comfortable. It’s not itchy or slimy.
Diaper rash crust building. We use this when the baby’s diaper rash gets bad. We layer this up with powder and the spray nicely spreads the cavalon out for good coverage. One star off for the very high price point.
Saves your skin from adhesive on heart monitor. If you have to wear the MCOT cardiac monitor or maybe a similar one, this is a great product. I had to wear the monitor for 2 weeks and on the first day my skin was getting extremely irritated. I didn’t know how I was gonna get through 2 weeks. Well, this saved me! This protected my skin from the adhesive and the monitor stayed on, no problem. When it became irritated, I changed the patch and reapplied this product. The bottle is small but goes a long way. It’s not perfect but will get you through.

best diaper rash solution. tried all the fancy hypoallergenic topicals for my babys horrible diaper rash. This stuff was my saving grace. At night when they would go longer without changes, id apply 1-2 sprays after their bath. literally cured the diaper rash cause it created a true barrier. Now its an essential for diaper changing kit. don’t hesitate, buy it! 100% worth every penny
Amazing. I use this to attach my libre pod. I also use it so the patch o put over the pod won’t irritate my skin. It dries immediately and helps the patch stick and saves my skin when it’s time to take the patch off. It’s very pricey for the small bottle but to me it works better than the creams.

Works well. This spray works well. I apply it after using stoma powder. This spray dries very quickly. Much quicker than other brands I’ve used. I apply it before using paste or sticky liquid, so it protects the skin well.

Gets the job done. I hate how small the bottle is but what a amazing product that I keep buying anyway. The functionality of this product is like no other brand, I use for my husband’s head as he has brain cancer, this makes it sticky and adhering things way easier with no sting, so no hurt for him. I will definitely be buying every few months.

Awesome product. I have a cgm and omnipod. I am allergic to the adhesive. I have tried many products and this by far is the best. Thank you
Saved the day. Used this as recommended by our doctor. Works so well, and no harsh smell.

Has alcolol. We like this much better than the one with no alcohol. With alcohol dries much faster and makes the changing process faster.

Great product. I need it to spray on my hand before I put on the brace. It keeps my hand from being stinky.
