Adequate. None of the functions of the built-in remote on my Apple EarPods worked when using the 3.5mm input slot. The ability to hear the podcast or song being played was the only function this input slot (3.5mm) provided. However, all functions (volume adjustment & app start & stop functions) of the built-in remote worked with these same headphones using a 3.5mm to lightning jack adapter and inserting into the lightning input slot.
Broke part way through trip. At first this product was amazing. I went on a 2.5 week vacation to Europe and this was great for charging my phone and listening to music (except it did get a bit hot during use) on the place and in our hostels however after while it stopped working. I can charge my phone with it sometimes now but if I plug my earbuds in it stops working all together. And worst of all, for some reason when that happens, it makes it so I can’t charge my phone at all. After it doesn’t work I’ll plug my phone in alone to the outlet and it won’t charge then and I have to find a new outlet. So this product is great if you need it for one short trip, but it’s not a long term product in the slightest.
Nice gadget, BUT. Does not work on SE2020 (2nd generation SE) or earlier. An adapter cable is also provided, but there is no explanation as to what the non-power adapter interfaces.
Helpful. I love my smart IPhone I have to use it for work and for fun. I often find myself at a loss with a dying battery when I use earbuds because I can’t charge and listen at the same time. These fixed that problem. I bought 3 I use 1 daily and for hours at a time. I don’t know if the sound interference comes from the ear buds or from the adapter. Their is a static that comes through every once in awhile. It’s not constant and I can manufacture the sound myself. That is why it doesn’t get 5stars. I have tested it with a variety of headphones and like I said I can manufacture the sound since it doesn’t happen regularly. However, it has happened with 2 different types of ear buds and a headset.
Great gadget. Very practical when you need to charge your phone and you also want to listen to a great pod cast w your earphones!
