Can’t use with my hot tub. Everything was fine downloading the app, setting up an account and pairing. Minimum amount of fumbling around.BUT : My hot tub (yes, running 110V) has a large plug that houses a breaker. It bulges significantly around the pins and will not fully plug in and sit flush with the smart plug’s socket, due to a lip around the two plugs. To be fair, these are probably part of the design to keep water out – a drip edge.I plan to see if I can file down the drip edge, as this smart plug will be used at the back of a covered patio, and the outlet has it’s own cover flap. So the risks of water infiltration is minimal. I am NOT suggesting anyone else try this.06/16.23 increasing from 1 to 4 stars. I now have the device working well and controlling power to my hot tub. I use 2 schedules per day On from 10am-5pm and On from 8pm-midnight. I have seen significant reduction in power use as a result. The problem with the app is that although I can get an hourly reading for power use, I can only get for today. I wish I could see the hourly data for previous days to compare, perhaps overlaying on a single chart. So I think I see a 20%+ power saving, which is great, I don’t know if it’s at the same time of day every day, I have yet to determine if my hot tub uses more power for heating the water or the pump (for filtering and my use).I’m a software engineer and data engineer and I could always find more I could do with the data 🙂
I love everything about it except for one thing. It doesn’t differentiate power use between the two plugs for one thing. Now, I can live with this because I assume it would cost more to add the ability to read both sides. I’m not an engineer so I don’t know exactly why, but I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt that this is why this is an issue. My second problem, and reason I only gave it 4* is because of the power use records. You can choose day view, week view, or month view. Heaven forbid it’s June 1 and you’d like to know how much power was used in May, or the last 30 days. I can’t possibly believe it’s a storage issue, so I can only believe it’s a laziness issue when it comes to programming. Add one extra section please Wyze! Day, Week, Month, 30 day. Hell, maybe even add a year and let me look back farther than the single month we’re in so I can see the power usage! How much storage can that possibly take? 36 kilobytes? Lets get wild and say it takes 10 megabytes of programming to add in the 30 day or year storage. I’d pay an extra 50 cents for that!
Easy quick setup and seem to work well. Although these are for outside I bought these for use inside in areas where I need two plugs controlled by one outlet. I cannot believe how easy these setup and just connected to Wi-Fi, right out of the box, compared to other smart devices in my house. I did not have to play any games, drop the security on my router or any other weird stuff. They did come with a firmware that was approximately a year old. And a couple of them took a couple tries to update the firmware but, overall, now that they’re all updated they’re working even better. These devices were truly a joy to work with and I will not hesitate to buy Wyze devices again!I do have one, very, very annoying complaint though … Why in the world don’t these have a 90 degree plug !?!? Especially If they are designed to work outdoors and in a protected box.For the future … Two nice features would be dimmable or three way sockets.Update Aug 2023: We had a Thunderstorm and power outage. Since then, all of these have remained disconnected in both the Wyze and Alexa apps while every other device in the house has well since reconnected. This is NOT good as they are buried behind couches, buffets, etc … Those I can see just sit there with the blue light blinking. I was able to unplug two of them and plugged them back in but they still will not reconnect. Lowering my rating as this is an absolutey HUGE issue if this happens every power outage and everything has to be re-setup.Update June 2024: There must have been some kind of firmware update because now they seem to reconnect with no issues after a power outage. Moving my review back up to five stars.

Does not show current energy usage. Works as advertised, however will only work with the Wyze app and does not connect to the Smart Life app that can be used top connect generic switches it did not advertise to do this i just pointed it out incase there are others like me who like all their switches controlled by one app. Also energy monitoring isn’t as good as i expected. It does not show Realtime energy usage, instead it only shows your total energy usage by the hour, also it does not differentiate between sockets so you get the total for both sockets and not each individual one.
Works great. I use this system with my Wyze app and it works all the time. I like that each outlet can be controlled separately. You can program the to come on and off at different times. Works well and very responsive.
Good device, but I got a dud. I would give 5 stars except the first one I received stopped working after 8 days. Fortunately, I just returned it on Amazon and purchased a replacement. The new one has been working well since I got it.The plug is easy to set up. I connected it to my wifi network inside the house then moved it outside to its working location. I especially like that you can set separate automation rules for each of the two plugs on the device, allowing you to independently control two different things with only one wyze plug. I have Feit outdoor smart plugs and the rules apply to both items plugged in (which is fine because I use them for Christmas lights which don’t need to be controlled independently). Back to he wyze plug… You can set persistent on and off rules, even scheduling them to take effect on different days. Or you can just turn the plug on and have it go off after a selected time duration (or turn it off and have it come on after a specific time has elapsed). You can also deactivate rules without deleting them so you can come back later and easily activate them again. The only downside is the the plug on the device is not a 90° plug which makes it a bit awkward to plug in under some in-ise outdoor outlet covers.Overall, if you’re looking to add some automation to outdoor devices, this Wyze plug is a great option.

Work great. I have a few of these. Very easy to set up and use. Easy to set sundown/on and sunrise/off automations. I use for outside Xmas lights. Party lights on balcony. And for rooftop lighting. Excellent purchase & price. Two separate outlets in one & can be used independently.
Works great. The Wyze Plug Outdoor, Dual Outlets Energy Monitoring, IP64, 2.4GHz WiFi Smart Plug makes setting up your outdoor holiday decorations a breeze. We use it for our Halloween and Christmas decorations. It’s nice to have dual, separately controlled, outlets. This allows for more flexibility on what I want to control and when. The Wyze App has many features to control this: duck to dawn, on/off at programmed times, timers, etc… Very user intuitive and a great price! Thank you Wyze!!
Work just fine. Very fast install (sync to app). They respond instantly via the app.Can handle high wattage.
