First Runner’s Vest that I’ve purchased – initial impression. This review is based solely on my initial impression after unpacking and trying the vest on. I will try to provide an update to the review after I’ve used the vest on a trail for a time or two.Build quality is about what I expected for a vest at this cost point. The zipper worked fine for me, though the iPhone pouch is a bit tight for my SE model. I ordered the vest with collapsible 500ml water bottle, and it fit in the pouch while filled with water with no issues. There are also small pouches to put other items such as energy bars/gels, keys, etc. They are very small, and if you are intending to use the pouch that sits directly over the water bottle, the item will likely get compressed/smashed over time.The size of the vest seems a bit small to me. There is a small pouch on the bottom of the back side of the vest for you to stow a small item or two. I doubt that a packable rain jacket or windbreaker will fit there, but you could store one in the bladder pouch if you aren’t using a water bladder. It’s nearly certain that you’ll have to remove the vest to take anything out of the storage on the back side of the vest, so keep that in mind.As previously stated, if anything changes after I put some miles on this vest, I will do my best to update this review. Since this is my first vest, I’m primarily concerned with comfort and storage options for some of my trail runs, as well as an upcoming half marathon and possible marathon.
Love it. So far I am loving this vest. I am training for a half marathon and can’t stand to carry anything in my hands. I used to have a hydration belt but decided I wanted to try this route. I am 5’4 and 125lbs. This vest fits great. I am able to tighten it to fit snug. It doesn’t bounce or chafe. It’s lightweight and doesn’t make me overheat. I have used it 3x so far. I wasn’t sure I would like the vest style so I didn’t want to spend $100+ on one not knowing how much I would use it. This was a great price and so far a great product. I did buy additional flasks as well.
Comfortable. Bought for my 1st marathon. Lots of room to pack, comfortable, easy to use. I’m sticking with this!
So good. BUT leaky bottle. This vest is really really good quality for the price. I am small, 5’10 and 120lbs. The size small vest fits me nice and snug with the straps adjusted. Not a ton of pockets but enough for bottle, phone, keys on the front and large back pocket holds my gels/gummies. I haven’t had any issues with itching or chafing, and it is extremely light weight. Truly a fantastic vest and an even better price.HOWEVER the bottle leaked soooo bad. I just ordered a differenr bottle and switched it out.. no big deal…

Lightweight with enough pockets. The media could not be loaded. Love that I can take along my phone, water, pepperspray, energy gel, etc. when I go for a run.
You won’t be disappointed!👌. The media could not be loaded. I never buy something without reading reviews. I went with this vest mainly because of the good reviews. I researched a lot trying to find the best vest for my marathon coming up. And this one seemed like a good price and great quality. I tried it out with an hour run today. I was pleasantly surprised how well it fit. I had to tighten up all the straps almost all the way to fit snug but once I had it all adjusted it felt nice and comfortable. Nothing was rubbing weird or bothered me. Except for the extra straps swinging underneath my arm was annoying but that’s an easy fix I’ll just trim them down so they aren’t so long cause I have them tightened pretty tight for my smaller rib cage.The color is really cute and I loved all the pockets. My iPhone 14 Pro fits in the front pocket as long as the case isn’t too bulky. So far I’m really happy about the purchase.I was able to cut the tube piece down to a better length for me so it doesn’t get in my way being to long and put the mouth piece back together just fine!I’ve been using a running belt that holds water bottles but I wanted to give this a try to hold more liquids and gummies. I’m glad I got it! Thanks to the reviews that helped me make my choice thought I’d get on here and share mine. I hope this helps you make your decision.
Good choice. Great fit, great quality. Love all the pockets to hang on to all my needs on a long run. I had a smaller one for short runs and prefer this one both ways. Just take out the water bag and put a small bladder in the front pocket when less is needed. Lightweight. Straps tight for no bounce.
Great vest. Love this running vest. Adjustable and comfortable. Fits phone , keys, ear buds etc. only complaint is that the water vessel has to be stashed in the back making it hard to axxess
It has stood up to years of hard use! 💪🏻. This has been with me through literally thousands of miles since I bought it in 2022. I’ve used it primarily for running (both road and trail) but have also used it for biking (road, when I need either extra hydration and/or extra storage) and hiking. It is still in great shape, except early on the zip pocket in front salted shut, and I haven’t been able to open it ever since. Even without that pocket, there’s plenty of space for everything. When it’s cooler out I use the bottle it came with in the front pocket, and when I need more I use a bladder in the main back pocket. There’s plenty of space for everything, but it’s perfectly sized and doesn’t bounce or chafe. Considering the amount I’ve used it, I’m very impressed that it’s still (almost completely) fully functional. Despite the zip pocket I can’t use, the rest of it is in such good shape that it deserves 5 stars. The bottle it came with doesn’t taste bad or leak, but over the years it has absorbed the flavor of the electrolyte tablets I use in it. If I ever need a new one, I would buy this again, no question. Also, the price is great, especially compared to the fancy brands!
