Makes my beautiful dog more beautiful. We have an 8 month old beagle mix. We were given a bag of Science Diet when we brought her home from the shelter and she wouldn’t eat that. My daughter picked up a bag of Iam’s puppy food and that’s what we were giving her the first month. Her poops smelled so bad from day one when we got her and didn’t improve on the Iam’s. She seemed to have consistently runny poops as well. She was also constantly itchy and scratching at herself. We switched to Wellness puppy food and after the initial introduction for her to get used to that brand we haven’t looked back. She loves it! She is now on the adult formula even though she’s not quite a year old (read that beagles should be switched over to adult food at about 6 months because they have reached their full height).We are finishing up her second bag on the adult formula and she is looking beautiful, sleek and healthy. We have so many people comment about how pretty she is and, especially, how soft her fur is. Her poops rarely smell and when they do it is usually because she was given new treats/snacks or one she hasn’t had in awhile.I have seen some reviews (mostly from the puppy formula) with people complaining about runny stools but it is important to gradually get your dog used to any new dog food and gradually build up the amount by mixing it with the dog food you are replacing. We even did this when we switched from the puppy to adult formula even though it probably wasn’t as necessary to do that as both were the lamb formulas.She’s full of energy and very happy and seems to love her dog food as she always eats it up and sometimes will carry in her bowl looking for seconds!!Also love how fast this company ships out the dog food too! Whoever was selling the puppy chow would take awhile for it to arrive but this one usually shows up in a day or two. Do wish this was available at our local market though!
Veterinarian highly recommended. Wellness pet food is the finest quality pet food available, in my opinion, and I am a long time holistic veterinarian who uses it for my own pet, and for other pets in the past. Wellness foods are wheat, corn, soy, additive and preservative free. They are ideal holistic nutrition for healthy pets as well as pets needing a restricted diet for food sensitivities of any kind, and never include potentially problematic ingredients. This is the case with my beloved rescue dog who as a puppy had to have such a specific restricted healthy diet that if she ate anything else she would be vomiting and having diarrhea for a week, needing fluid therapy. As much as I didn’t like it, she had to be on constant medications and probiotics for her first couple years of life, before finally being healthy enough to be tapered off of these.. She initially was saved as a puppy from these repeated bouts of illness by Iams Prime Naturals and then Iams Sensitive Naturals, but when these became hard to find, after extensive research into nutrition and the available options, I found Wellness, and that has been what has kept her healthy and happy ever since. I liked the quality and standards of ingredients so much that I switched all my other pets including cats to Wellness as well.Wellness does offer grain free versions also, but in my opinion and that of most veterinarians, grain free foods for pets are a fad with no real nutritional or biological basis, anymore than the fad in people. Dogs and cats are not wild animals and even cats are not obligate carnivores who eat no other types of foods besides meats. There is simply no scientific basis for this unfortunate fad, and I don’t believe these foods are as well balanced as the original formulations of a high quality top of the line holistic food like Wellness, which is tested and certified at every step of development and production for the health and well-being of the pets who will be fed this food. Sure, cheap pet food with corn and chicken by products are not healthy by any stretch of the imagination, but easily digested carbohydrates from healthy sources like barley and rice, and sometimes potato, are important for a well balanced diet for our pets and for the digestion and assimilation of all the good healthy nutrients in high quality foods like Wellness.I will mention one more thing – even though there is a “small breed” version of this food, and I have a 20 lb dog, I feed her the regular size kibble because the pieces of the “small breed” are so small they are smaller than most cat food kibble. Larger pieces involve some chewing which is essential for dental health. Very few dogs would be small enough to need kibble that size. I personally buy it to use as treats for my dog because it is easy to use and she loves it, and it is very hard to find treats that meet the strict standards of quality needed to keep her healthy. Also, she has a treat-dispensing ball toy which can be set to a smaller opening for smaller pieces, and the “small breed” kibble fits perfectly into that toy for maximum enjoyment.In summary, I can say that I as a holistic veterinarian prefer Wellness food to even proprietary foods sold only by veterinarians. I think the quality and the standards of their ingredients cannot be matched by any other food. I will always feed it to my dog,(but the regular kibble for her regular meals, not the “small breed”), for the rest of her life, and also to any other pets I acquire. And it’s good to have the “small breed” tiny kibble available to use for treats and her toys. Holistic nutrition when it leads to healthy high quality food such as this cannot be beat. Cannot highly recommend enough!!
This is like CRACK for our dogs, a little pricey but SO WORTH IT. Doodle mom here: we have tried it ALL when it comes to dog food.We have tried Lamb, Salmon, Beef, and Chicken in various brands. Lamb & Rice was fine but our schnoodle’s allergies were still too much. Our vet suggested we switch to this white fish and let me tell you……….Our 3 year old has NEVER had this much energy. We had seen him start to come out of his shell with more park trips due to us working from home, but within DAYS he was a whole new dog. His energy was through the roof! He was begging & whining for his food when it was time to eat (he had never done this before) – he seriously couldn’t get enough. He lost a little weight & gained some muscles, and his allergies definitely improved! we saw a big change in his coat from more course & stringy to a softer (and lighter colored) undercoat. He stopped itching/licking his paws as much and actually was acting so much younger we decided to get him a brother!!Now: our 9 month old doodle has been incorporating whitefish into his diet for the past month that we’ve had him. He came with 44 lbs of lamb & rice and we didn’t want to through food away, so right now we’re doing half and half – but we started with only 1/4 cup and over the past month he has also changed a lot!! He’s dropped some puppy fluff and started to build muscle, he is growing TALL but not gaining weight (which is kind of crazy!!) and has SO MUCH ENERGY (even for a puppy, people at the park are always wowed by how long this guy runs!).10000000% recommend!! I know it’s a little pricey (we’re feeding 110 lbs of dog as recently graduated student – we get it). But if you want to give your fur baby the best – start feeding them THIS FOOD. It’s so so worth it.*note: it IS white fish. It stinks. Get yourself an air tight container if you don’t have one already.

Best dog food brand. I love Wellness dog food – I’m that crazy dog mom who had a spread sheet of dog food brands before we got our first dog, and I chose Wellness, and I’ll never choose anything else. Thank being said, the whitefish flavor smells, maybe it’s because I personally don’t like seafood 🙂 my dogs love it, but I may just not choose this flavor again due to the smell. That’s the ONLY reason I gave 4 stars. Otherwise, 5 stars for everything else!
Good recipe if dog likes it. Very healthy good sound ingredients that is if my dog would just eat it. She’s not a fan of it. But every dog is different if you can get your dog to eat it it’s a much better alternative to grocery store brands. It is a dry kibble it’s not like farmers choice or fresh pet. But seems to be easy on the tummy that is when I could get them to eat it. It’s a smaller kibble bites so perfect for smaller breeds but big dogs can eat it too that is if you can get them to.
Dogs love this food. Over the years I have had 7 dogs ( all different breeds and sizes) everyone of them has done well on this food and my vet is very happy that I feed them this food.

Wellness complete dry dog food, natural ingredients. This is a great dog food! I looked around for the best quality dog foods with the best ingredients and this was at the top of my list. It’s affordable unlike some dog foods with good ingredients that cost lots of dollars and my dog likes it so that’s another good point, read the labels on your dog food. Make sure you’re giving your dog the best quality dog food that they deserve.
Food matters. My boxer is 8. This last year I was counting down the days. He had no energy couldn’t move well and signs of bad hips. I started joint supplements, but it wasn’t enough. I switched to Wellness and he is a new dog. He plays with the Doodle puppy, run and is happy. I think with his joint supplement and new food he has become a new dog. Instead of counting down the days.m, I’ve added years to his life.

Healthy dry dog food that my dog will eat. I’m satisfied with the product. Dogs stools are normal and she seems to like it.
More fish than potato. I like that they use sweet potato in this recipe instead of regular white potato and there is more fish than potato. What a concept. Not sure if it helps with my dogs food allergies but it definitely doesn’t hurt. Doggy Dermatologist recommended a fish diet.
