  1. Great tool for what it is designed. We live in Wyoming where the wind blows every weed seed alive into our yard…mostly dandelions. I am 70 years old with rheumatoid arthritis in my hands and a torn rotator cuff and so was looking for something to help me at least with some of the weeds when I ordered this. I was disappointed that, due to Covid, I had to wait for the order instead of my 2-day Prime, but it was still worth the wait!. I showed the video to my husband of what I was expecting and he said, “That will be good…IF it works…” UPS delivered it that afternoon and without even opening the box I took it out to my husband who was “weed eating” the front yard. He has just had his 7th back surgery and had previously been trying to get out the dandelions with a different long handled tool, which I could see was straining his back. He took the new Walensee Stand Up Weed Puller out of the box and immediately starting using it. I really think he wanted to show me that it was a waste of my money! Surprise!! It was so easy and effective he worked for two hours straight. He was like a demon and was like a kid with a new toy. I have to say that I had thoroughly watered the yard that morning so the soil was damp to depth. The weed puller is light weight aluminum but has not bent with all of the use and pulled up dandelions, even the heavier-rooted ones of long-standing, and five or six other shallow to medium depth weeds including “bunch grass”. We now (after he attacked the weeds again yesterday) have three huge black garbage bags filled with weeds. The plugs of dirt/clay which come out are “aerating” the lawn and flower bed at the same time as a bonus. Even though the tool was to be a help for me, it has turned into his “toy” and that is still helping me because he loves pulling those weeds. I do have to say that it does NOT pull up the crab grass (I call it “octopus grass” due to the long white runners it sends out in all directions.) but at least I don’t have to pull ALL of the weeds anymore. I give it five starts, and just don’t expect miracles against huge weeds and dry ground. Again I say get this. Be reasonable in your expectation. Water the ground THOROUGHLY and don’t expect miracles on huge weeds with my poor aching hands anymore. Buy one! Have “fun” though, pulling up the annoyances. And yes, an adjustable height shaft would make it better and easier on backs, but all I can say is that it is the best money I’ve spent in a while! I’d buy it again in a hot minute.

  2. Effective for loosening weeds, but not actually pulling. I recently purchased the weed puller tool, hoping to tackle the pesky weeds overtaking my garden. While it did a satisfactory job in certain aspects, I was left somewhat disappointed with its performance in pulling weeds up from the root.On the positive side, this tool effectively loosens the soil around the weed, making it noticeably easier to grasp and pull the weed out manually. It saves some effort and reduces strain on the hands. However, where this tool falls short is in its ability to extract weeds completely from the root. Despite the loosened soil, the weed puller often left behind remnants of the root system, requiring additional manual extraction to fully eradicate the weed. This somewhat defeats the purpose of using a specialized tool for weed removal. For light weeding tasks or when dealing with shallow-rooted weeds, this tool may still prove handy and time-saving. But if you’re dealing with deep-rooted weeds or aiming for a thorough eradication, this tool may not be the ideal choice.Overall, while the weed puller tool offers some convenience by loosening the soil, its limitations in pulling weeds up from the root prevent me from giving it a higher rating. Consider it as a helpful tool for lighter weeding tasks, but be prepared for additional manual work to ensure complete weed removal.

  3. Best Invention Ever. I was pretty skeptical that some prongs on a stick could weed my whole garden, but my curiosity and laziness won, so I took a gamble. I’m obsessed. I’m amazed. I’m so glad this tool exists. It’s incredibly satisfying to watch a huge clump of crabgrass get twisted out of a flower bed like pasta on a fork. We have sandy soil, but our beds have become dense from cheap fill dirt. Both dirt types are no problem for this tool. The prongs seem sturdy like a lawn dart (remember those?) and could no doubt double as a weapon in case of sudden zombie attack. This tool saved my back hours of hard work restoring a flower bed I let get out of hand this summer. I barely broke a sweat. I’d imagine this would be helpful for someone with decreased mobility or balance issues also, as there’s very little bending or twisting involved. I did most the work with one hand, even. I saw this same brand was carried online through Lowes, so that made me feel even better buying it. My garden is going to look great this year!

  4. Great little tool to have for dandelions. It’s easy to use and completely pulls up a weed from the root. I had to experiment a little to get it to work like it’s meant to work. But it didn’t take long before I realized how easy it is to use and how effective it is at getting rid of dandelion weeds large and small. (And other weeds as well). I was just overrun with dandelions. It’s actually fun and very satisfying to see those huge weeds on the end of those prongs easily coming out of the ground. I could never pull those up by hand.

  5. It works. I have been looking for a weed puller we had when I was a kid, and this was not it. It does the job just fine, but it doesn’t grab well. It’s about as useful as a garden rake, which isn’t to say it is bad- it’s just not a grabber.

  6. Back saving. Love this for weeding without having to bend over. It took a few rounds to get the weeds to release after I hooked them but eventually I figured it out.Great purchase.

  7. love product. Perfect item for my elderly mom who loves her flower bed and refuses to exercise. Lol she has no clue that she is moving her whole body when using this item. Sssh Dont tell her, we plant weeds on purpose.

  8. Just Okay. The weeds are crazy this year and I wanted an easy way to pull them from the yard without bending over / crawling around. Overall, I found this product to just be okay. If bending over is a challenge, this is great. But, it is not as effective as I would have hoped.Cons: If you don’t get this right on top of the middle of a weed (like a dandelion), it can’t pull the root out. When it does, it does not get up as much of the root as I would have thought or hoped. It also leaves a big hole that is larger than we would want in the yard.Pros: If you get on the weed, it is an easy way to pull weeds without bending over. It’s easy to push in and twist out. The button to remove a pulled weed works great so you don’t have to manually grab the weed out.

  9. Why has this not been a thing before. I originally saw this product being used on a social media platform and I was skeptical. Having a lot of weeds and crab grass I thought what hell I’ll try it. Let me tell you, my jaw dropped opened the first time I used it. It really works as advertised. Push in, turn and pull. Push the button to release and repeat. It makes such light work of tedious work.No assembly required, worked right out of the box.Only reason I gave it 4/5 stars was because the protective cover for the spikes sometimes falls off when not in use, so just need to be careful of that. Otherwise excellent product.

Light weight and sturdy. Works very well and is easy on my back. It has a good height to reduce fatigue. I removed all the weeds in my yard in about an hour. Plastic handle is comfortable and the metal spikes are thick so they don’t bend in the hardest soil. Spike guard fits well for safe storage. Well worth the price.

  15. Good Weed Puller. This weed puller works good. Just push it in with your shoe and twist it around. Then pull it up and release the weed. Definitely nice weed puller. It is not perfect, but it seems to do the job.
