  1. Wahoo TICKR X 2.0. The Wahoo TICKR X heart rate monitor chest strap is a fantastic piece of fitness technology. Its accuracy is impressive, and it connects effortlessly to my smartphone, allowing me to track my heart rate and other fitness data with ease. The chest strap is comfortable to wear and fits snugly, so I don’t have to worry about it slipping or moving during my workouts. I also appreciate the added features, such as the ability to track running cadence and workout duration, which make it a versatile tool for anyone looking to improve their fitness. Overall, I highly recommend the Wahoo TICKR X heart rate monitor chest strap to anyone looking for a reliable and user-friendly way to monitor their workouts.

  2. Was a good HRM… until the accuracy became suspect after 9 months of use. Being my first HRM I didn’t know what to look for but this one seemed to be a good place to start. It appeared to be reasonably accurate for some time, but it has always been a pain ‘connecting’ via BT/ANT+PRO:Well-known brandSmall size/weightCON:- Metal clip to adjust strap length was too bulky (I bought a different brand replacement strap)- VERY ornery when connecting… app will say ‘connecting’ for a while then bail out even though I can see the LED’s blinking and it shows 3-4 bars on the app. Sometimes I’d have to go through the process 2-3 times before it was fully connected.- Loses accuracy over time?At about 8 months of use I noticed the data was getting more erratic. After research I thought it may be the strap so I checked the resistance of the strap and although just within the accepted range I bought another strap. While it ‘seemed’ to be better for a while (I now believethat was wishful thinking) it turned out to be no better.Ok, maybe it needs a new battery? Although the charge was at 88% I replaced it anyway. But even with new battery and new strap the readings from the TICKR X became so far from reality, consistently reading 20-25% higher than actual (compared to a high quality BP/HR monitor as well as other brand HRM) that I gave up on it and have moved on to another brand HRM.Not wishing for numerous accounts to various fitness tracking sites, althoughI use the WAHOO app with the HRM I export the data to my computer and ultimately to Garmin Connect.

  3. Device works great. Update: The manufacturer honored the warranty on the belt and sent me a new one. Grateful they stand behind there product.I’ve had it almost a year now. The device works great. The only issue is the strap didn’t make it a year. It started delaminating from the belt at the first of May. I cannot use the device until I get another belt. Other than that, the product and app work great for me.

Great entry level. I got this specifically for the offline workout feature. Since I can’t wear a fitness watch while playing soccer or baseball or many other sports for that matter. This heart rate monitor did exactly what I wanted. Wearing it offline for a 3 hour baseball game, I didn’t notice any drops in data. It does not measure distance in the offline mode only heart rate and time (I have a separate vest gps tracking device if I’m interested in tracking distance). Uploading the workout to the wahoo app is extremely simple, uses bluetooth. I use an apple watch to record my workouts outside of wahoo, so I allow wahoo to share the information with my health app and it updates all the calorie and workout metrics there as well if you’re interested in that. If you want to use the heart rate monitor in online mode you will need to run it through the wahoo app, unless you have a wahoo watch to pair with it. I’ve used it a few times in online mode, lots of cool additional running features. Not a fan of running with my phone so I don’t often use it for this purpose. Might invest in a wahoo watch in the future if I’m interested in using the full capabilities of the system. The strap itself is easy to adjust. I think heartrate monitors in general are difficult to keep from riding down your chest, no matter how many gel adhesives are on the strap. Although I do wish this one had some gel adhesives to help, it does stay stable on a run. I only have adjust it during the warm up. After that I don’t find myself having to adjust it while playin baseball or anything. Doesn’t feel like I’m wearing it most of the time. For my purpose of using it in offline mode this is a solid 10/10.

  5. I like it better than Garmin, but. It connects and stays connected much better than my garmin HRM that I use for cycling, BUT this first one only lasted about 6 months. My guess is that perhaps over time, sweat slowly worked its way into the battery compartment causing the battery to short and drain.Wahoo customer service was great. I sent them a warranty claim via their website and within a few days I had a new replacement on my doorstep. One thing I’m going to try with this one is applying a very thin layer of dielectric grease around the battery cover to see if that will help stop any potential sweat infiltration. If it is still going strong after 6 months from today, 8/21/23, I’ll update my review.Yeah, you shouldn’t have to add grease to help make it more water tight, but it is what it is. I still like the way this one is more dependable as far as staying connected to my cycling computer…now to see if we’ll get more than 6 months from it.
