It works great. I have naturally thick/curly hair that frizzes if left to its own devices so a straightening iron is something I always keep in my possession.My last one took a nose dive off the counter and stopped getting up to temp so I had to quickly replace it.This one had good reviews with great results in the customer photos, and the price was much better than Ulta Beauty (which I almost visited out of desperation).I waited one day for it to arrive and got right to work seeing what I got for the money.Yessssss! Once it got to temp (I like 450 degrees) which took no time at all, it worked its magic.The pic is left side straightened, right side still natural curls.My hair is long so it takes almost an hour to get each chunk of hair that I divide up, but the end results are worth it to me. My hair is soft, smooth, and a lot less frizz.One downside is that the straightener has a burnt smell to it after a while.Maybe the temp I use is too high, but if my hair starts frying off I guess that’ll be my answer 😅The other downside is where the on/off button is located. It’s on the bottom side and my hand brushes over it repeatedly and I’m wary I’ll accidentally turn it off.I’m always hesitate about buying the off brand cheaper straighteners but so far so good with this one.I also like the long oval shape of the iron. It’s esthetically pleasing to me.

Wow! Beyond impressed. My hair is thick, wavy/curly, frizzy… I don’t have the kind of hair that can look messy cute when I feel lazy.. I have the kind of hair that has to be flat ironed or curled after every wash.. or at least hidden under a hood/hat. I prob would’ve been a lot cuter way back in my high school days had I owned a decent iron. It wasn’t till I graduated that a beautician friend of mine introduced me to a Chi flat iron. The difference was absolutely incredible to me and it really improved my confidence. Since then (over 20 years now) I’ve always invested in a high quality, salon flat iron. Now I’m broke. Because I have kids. Plus, in my personal experience, it seems like the flat irons that cost $100 or more only last a year or 2 before they stop working. Within a couple weeks time my fav iron AND my backup iron both stopped working. I began my mission of searching for the best flat iron possible under $50. I kept coming across the Vanessa pro and saw the reviews were amazing and there were tons of them. I decided to give it a try and I can honestly say I will never buy another expensive flat iron ever again. I know that’s a bold claim, but I honestly am so impressed and so happy with this iron I can’t praise it enough! It is so smooth, glides right thru my hair. It even seems like I’m done so much faster than with the other irons I’ve used. I usually have to do several passes even with the best brands but with this I only have to do 1 or 2 passes! I highly recommend this iron. You won’t be disappointed!
Power button needs redesigning. I like the fact that it is wide and heat up easily. It glides easily through hair and does its job of either straightening or curling your hair. I am including 4 pix to show size comparison between 2″ Vanessa roller and my existing 1″ that’s still working. I have long hair and wider roller is useful. I only used this hot roller once and hopefully will be able to use it again and again for many years if I don’t return it.The issue: the power and temp buttons are located in the handle, where you are holding the roller, many times one of the buttons will get pressed, the power button will be okay since you need to press it for 3 seconds to power off. When you are dealing with the back of your head, getting one of these buttons pressed make you stop and check. I have decided to hold the roller on the back of the plate instead to avoid pressing the buttons, that is not going to happen. These areas are hot to the touch. From the picture you can see that they are thin (see pix one where you can see my pink hot roller is significantly higher thus providing you with great insulation).I am going to use it again one more time before making a decision whether I should keep it or not. Having dual voltage will be nice, but I have not tried this feature either.
Best Flat Iron Ever. I waited for about 5 months to write this review so I could fully evaluate this flat iron. I have to say that it is without a doubt the best one I have ever owned. I have had a few at higher price points that I did not like nearly as much as this one. It heats up within seconds, feels good and easy to maneuver in my hand. The controls are super simple; the temperature setting is easily visible. I have thick, semi-curly hair that gets frizzy in humid weather. I can tame it easily with this flat iron. I can’t necessarily say it is a “one pass” job on all parts of my hair. Some is more course and so I have to run it over those sections twice. But still…who can complain? I have difficult hair that this gem has made so much easier to tame.
I’m flabbergasted. I have thin, curly, dry brittle hair, with split ends. My hair is damaged to say the least. I bought this straightener because I needed a brand new one and I would usually run to the Chi or other expensive brands but I am on a budget, I bought this one on sale for $32 and read the reviews I thought why not.. I couldn’t believe my eyes seriously, my strands turned into silk after every pass and it left my hair feeling fuller and healthier! In my opinion I am more fond of this straightener then Chi. If you have hair like mine I definitely recommend it! I also use Arvazallia hair masks 3 times a week, I know I should get my haircut but I finally got it back to a length I desire.
One of the best straighteners. I love this product for many reasons. One of the main reasons is the digital temp comes in so well and bright. It gets hot quick and works very well. My hair is very thick and takes me awhile to straighten. This helps the process and cuts it down in half the time. I am so happy I bought this. If you are in the market for a new one I would recommend getting this. It also does a wonderful job for curling too. Great price and great buy!

Good iron for the cost. I am not very good with using a hair straightener. I use hot rollers mostly. I decided to change my hairstyle and need the flat iron. This is easy to use and the results are great.

Love this flat iron. The media could not be loaded. I’ve had this flat iron over a year now and I love how smooth and shiny it gets my hair! It’s better than more expensive flat irons that I have used in the past.I use one pass and it does really well on straightening my thick 4a hair. This video is one weak after flat ironing my hair and it still looks good.
The best. I wanted something that wasn’t going to break my bank but also be a solid straightener that I could use to curl as well. This thing is perfect! You can control the heat and its shape helps the curls come out smooth and soft!

Great product and seller. I’ve using this as a straightener daily for at least 6 months. It heats up fast, glides very smooth and evenly. I have thin blonde highlighted hair and it does not fry my hair. I had a little issue with the first one and the seller immediately sent me a replacement.
