I have a 2015 Ford Escape Titanium. I really liked this even though at first it wasn’t clear that you had to buy the memory card separate but that was my fault because I didnt delve deeper to the information. Anyone that plans to buy this make sure you get the memory card or the camera will not record.Anyways, this is a strange occurence that I am going to mention now. I assembled this without hardwiring it since my car already had its own back up camera and I just use the back up camera to this just solely to record from behind. I do keep it on when I am at a public parking lot but when I am home I take it out of the cigarett outlet and keep it off so not to drain the battery.Just yesterday I drove my car to dunkin doughnuts with my husband and back home with no trouble and kept my dash cam unplugged. When I tried to turn it on again later that day the vehicle went into a fritz. It started saying transport mode, the battery light was on and the wrench light is on. The dash cam still not plugged it. I got it towed to the Ford dealership that I work at. This vehicle is a push button start so it is heavily reliant on a computer to start.Fast forward to today, the technician believes the dash cam is a potential cause of the battery draining without even being plugged in due to an error code. He is only stating that because he completely dismantled it and that is when the fault code disappeared. He is still diagnosing it as we speak but it brings the question if this dash cam draws power even without being plugged in?Remember I still did not hardwire it and I never attached the red cable to my brake light. So, this is a pretty spooky situation and I am very unhappy with it right now. Almost feel betrayed by it and the car if that is the case.We are leaving it over another night to see if it just need to change the battery but I am a bit afraid to use this camera. I will update my notes if things do change for the better.*Moving on to a couple of days after*My battery needed to be replaced and it was at no fault to the camera. But still keep that in mind when purchasing the camera, if you know your battery is old just unplug it to avoid my situation.It is still a decent camera but I eventually unplugged the rearview camera since I have no use for it anymore.The red cable that a lot of people in this review see is for the brake light so that your camera shows you what is behind you. But I already had a back up camera in the dash so no point for this really.It is still working till this day.
Upgrade version is better. I had the original version for a couple of years. However, it seems that heat and cold got to it eventually. I had it hard wired to the ignition for on and off. It started going on and off at will. The new version has better touch screen controls. The only downside to the new version is that the rear camera’s picture is reversed. Right is left, left is right! It’s confusing trying to understand what you are seeing.
DashCam. Good product and easy to install. Just unlucky l receive a Dashcam that had a sound defect. Very rare though. The seller promised a replacement.How nice.
Awesome. I’m liking it…. My truck didn’t come with a back up camera so ordered this and it’s better than i expected. Looks cool, great quality touch screen, dash camera and back up camera all in one and couldn’t beat the price. Gonna order one for my girl friends car.
Rearview Guidelines Alignment Issue. The media could not be loaded. Following the acquisition of the aforementioned camera, I opted for a professional installation procedure, given the absence of requisite tools and time constraints. It is with some disappointment that I note a noticeable misalignment in the perspective of the reverse lines, despite the central positioning above the license plate. This anomaly results in a discernible deviation from the desired centering during reversing maneuvers. For your reference, I have enclosed several images and a video illustrating the observed discrepancy. I wish I was able to move the camera left and right and just up and down.I feel compelled to seek clarification on the possibility of an inherent defect within either the guided lines system or the rear-view camera unit itself. This, in turn, prompts a request for a more detailed assessment of its operational integrity. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Good Budget Option, but No Auto Dim. Really nice for a car with no cameras otherwise, but the lack of auto-dimming means you better have really dark rear tint to block out car headlights at night. Easy to install, great camera quality.
The image is not good. The image of the mirror is not very good, at night you can’t use especially if you have car behind you whit the lights on, the picture in the back camara is very far away especially if you use it to parking tells you you are close but when you get off and check the distance is very far , I expected a little more
Over a year later, it’s still working. It’s a good product, the screen seems to be reliable since I’ve had it in the Texas heat (uncovered parking, directly in the sun) and it still works just like the day I bought it.I don’t understand why anyone would want a different dash cam. This one has all of the functionality of a normal dash cam, records front and back, but it also has additional benefits such as eliminating your blind spots with a wide field of view, and being able to see out the back even when you have obstructed views such as a lack of a rear window or a bunch of stuff piled up in the back of the car.
Wow, I use instead of mirror now :). So far great, only had a couple weeks.Update 3/8/2024, 5 to 1 Star.The Mirror/Camera stopped working after about 60 days.Display will no longer power up.Not sure how to have it replaced under warranty??Oops – 3/9/2024 1 to 5 starsSwapped out USB adapter and it started working again. 😛
It’s a necessity. I didn’t realize how much this was needed until I got one. The back straps attached to my factory mirror nice and snug. It mirror has a clear image. Installation is a little more on the difficult side if you want it to look factory and make sure all the wires are completely hidden. Operations is made quite simple and user friendly. The front camera slider locks in place tightly. Only thing is it would be nice to have the option to complete remove the existing mirror and allow for this to attach to the factory mirror mount. Overall this product is built with quality in mind and works great.

Super easy to install, works great, good camera quality front and back is good able to read license plates, good night quality not able to read licenses plates at night tho because of the car lights, the screen is good doesn’t lag and it loops the videos so u don’t have format the as card every day would have gave it 5 stars only if it had an app to see the videos

Excellent customer support. I bought this in November of 2023 and it sat on the shelf until I got around to the install 10 months later. The manual was a little weak so I emailed their tech support with some questions. They were very responsive and got back to me the next day with each question. They am assuming they are in China so next day communication is pretty common.When one problem couldn’t be resolved the immediately issued a full refund of the Amazon price and said just to order the replacement on Amazon. They were well aware that I had bought it 10 months earlier and never raised that as an issue.Final product does the job nicely.

Amazing product, 100% recommended!

With memory card full has no way of looping over older videos: you will need to erase the old stuff manually. When card is full, it just turns off, display and everything so no good as a rear view mirror.The Horrible: if you love neverending stupid chimes of it constantly turning on and immediately off (see my video), then this is product for you. If you are annoyed with it then just unplug when you drive.Do not recommend.

Fantastic. This rear view cam works amazingly well. Crisp video and super easy to set up.I bracket holding the rear camera was missing a small screw. Boxed well and I would definitely recommend it!
Seems like a nice camera set up. I’ve installed this in my 2015 F-250 truck. Easily installed. I’ve read an earlier review concerning a lack of over-writing the oldest file when the memory is full. I believe that the trick to assure over-writing is to either set the shock sensitivity (G shock feature that locks the file if the vehicle is struck) to a minimum, or turn off the G shock feature. At first blush, this appears to be a nice camera. I have not yet attached the rear camera or played any playback files. Purchased for well under $100 with the extra long rear camera wiring. Recommend. Will update after final rear install and some additional use.
Good and Easy to Install. I purchase this camera to keep track of my trips in case someone cuts me off in traffic and I need some proof. At the beginning I was a litte scared of the installation, but once I open the box and read the manual, I find it easy to install. The quality of the videos is pretty good you can easily get the plates of the drivers infront of you in case of need.
Excellent. The camera quality is excellent. Only thing is that it’s cannot be connected to your mobile device. Guess that’s another feature that is worth looking into.
I got one in each car. This camera is a very decent piece of equipment. I have had one in one of my cars for over 2 years. The other car I’ve only had for a year and I’ve had it in there since I purchased it, this is a very friendly camera and the quality really can be beat. I do not use the rear camera as a mirror because it is illegal in the United States to use that way. But when I am backing up it illuminates perfectly. I recommend this
No regrets. I bought this item over 6 years ago and still to this day think it is one of the best investments I have ever purchased! Makes me feel safe with all the crazy drivers on the road knowing I have back up if anyone does anything stupid! Again 6 years I have had installed and never had an issue!
