They work. First, I want to say that I was reimbursed for the cost of the four lamps I purchased, but this will in no way influence my honest and factual opinion here.I have had and been using these lamps for over a month now and am ready to give a review of my use experience to date. To start, overall I do like these lamps and if I was in the market for additional similar units, I would most definitely place these high on the consideration list. If I need more today I would repurchase these, a year from now, we’d have to see what is available at that time.Setup, in most cases, is quit simple. Follow the instructions, making sure you are on a 2.4G WiFi network as these will not connect to 5G. Use the Smart Life App to set them up, creative some rooms, automation, etc.In my case because of how my network is setup, I tend to have to set most of my smart devices, such as these, going the indirect route of connecting directly to the fixture from within the App. Again, they have made this relatively painless, just follow the instructions and prompts in the App.On to use, they work. I can control them in several different ways, via the Smart Life App, Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri, among other options that I do not currently use.The lamps a responsive, and will provide a wide range of colors. Something to be aware of is that these are really intended, in color mode, to be an ambiance light and not brilliant. I am using them in two locations, the bedroom and the family room and in both places they are installed in end table fixtures.A relevant note, yesterday the power in our area went out for several hours, flickering several time before so doing. When the power was restored, again after several bouts of flickering, all but one of these lamps managed to properly reconnect and worked without issue. One, however, had to be deleted from within the Smart Life App and then reconnected. I attributed this to all the power flickering of the power that went on and the WiFi network needing to restart and sort it’s self out.In the end, these appear to be respectable lamps and I look forward to many years of use. If your on the fence about purchasing, I’d say they are a good choice.Cheers!
The media could not be loaded. My home uses Treatlife smart light switches for most of the rooms upstairs, but one of the light switch electrical boxes has only two wires so I couldn’t connect a smart dimmer switch. Instead of trying to feed new wires into my walls, I decided to use a conventional light switch and add a smart bulb or two in order to allow home automation lighting for that room. And if you are going that route, might as well use color LED bulbs so you can have some fun!Installation is of course easy, just a matter of screwing in the light bulb. Then to pair it with the network I went into the ubiquitous Smart Life app, hit the + button, and chose Auto Scan. Then I turned the light switch on and off three times and after a pause the light bulb flashed a few times. This means it is in discovery mode. The key to successfully pairing is to wait long enough for the Smart Life app to find the bulb on your network, probably 30 seconds or more. Once it is found you are good to go.All of the LED color bulbs I’ve seen provide 60 W equivalence or less. In other words, don’t expect to find a super bright 100 W equivalent color LED bulb out in the wild. I decided to use two of these in the master bedroom so that both together would provide more than adequate light. Colored light in particular does not seem as bright as white light, since a single color only uses a fraction of the available light spectrum. If you want to use a smart light switch and a color LED bulb in tandem, the situation is a little more confusing at the moment. Turning off your light switch will also cut power to the LED bulb, meaning it is no longer connected to WiFi. In order for this to work properly, it would require a light switch that sends a data signal to turn the LED bulb on/off, rather than controlling the power. Maybe these type of switches exist for WiFi bulbs but I haven’t seen them. Instead, a traditional light switch will do the job. You could leave the switch on all the time and control the bulb via voice or app, but this solution isn’t ideal for others in the house who will become confused when they flip the light switch and the bulb doesn’t power on. It’s probably better to use the physical switch to power the smart bulb on and off. When you flick the switch on, the LED bulb turns on instantly and remembers the previous color setting. It takes perhaps 10 seconds to reconnect to WiFi in case you want to start changing brightness or color. It’s not a perfect solution but it works just fine.Overall I’m very happy with this purchase. I recommend Treatlife smart bulbs to anyone who wants to try colored lighting or simply doesn’t have the option to install a smart light switch.
Great bulbs, Alexa compatible & inexpensive to operate. Sets up & integrates with Alexa very easily. The wide range of colors you can choose from is AMAZING as well as the ability to set it as to a default white, regular bright or soft.I have the one next to my bed with a night profile because I had read somewhere that red light helps stimulate sleep and it seems to help, at least for me!The other two I put in our pot rack and set to bright white and they seem to be brighter than the original 60W LEDS that I replaced them with. (They were only in there for a couple of weeks)This is super useful when coming into a dark house with your arms full of groceries. The list of handy places I keep coming up with means the purchase of several more boxes in my future, lol! (Hey manufacturer, Can a brother get a discount code? 🤔😅) LOL J/k I always give a fair, honest review of products. The wife loves the one I put on her nightstand as well and wants some for her office too. While the price per unit is actually pretty good compared to a basic LED bulb I just wish they were a bit more affordable. We had just finished replacing all but some of our speciality bulbs with LED, however these are so useful we are gonna do it again. 🤭If you want to easily start the process of making your home “Smart” these are a product I can fully recommend you start with these bulbs.I plan on buying more very soon, feel free to do the same!👍If there are any problems with longevity or other issues in the future I will upgrade this review accordingly.
Great product – not so great app. I got these lights about a week ago, and I’ve been loving them so far. Two of them are installed together in a single ceiling fixture, and even with both on one switch, it was still fairly easy to set them up one-by-one. The app is pretty lousy. Not at all intuitive, and even after a week I can’t find a way to group the lights to program them together, it allows you to group lights together into a room, but that only allows you to see all of that room’s devices on a single screen, it doesn’t give you whole-room control. However, it gives you nice options for programming “scenes” (you can set a variety of colors and brightness levels to run as a sequence). I bought these to integrate into my Alexa setup at home, and the lights integrate quite well into Alexa with full control over 20 preset colors (including five white temperatures) and dimming. Grouping within Alexa is actually quite easy, and Alexa will also allow you to activate “scenes,” however that only allows you to initiate the last scene you had set on each bulb. Something else that impressed me is that the bulbs remain in sync with each other. I don’t know if they communicate somehow, or if they use the line frequency as a clock, but I wanted to see if the multiple bulbs in one fixture would remain synced in one of the flashing modes. I set the bulbs to one of the flashing “scenes,” then using Alexa turned them all off, then all on together (unfortunately can’t do this in the app). Even after an hour, all four bulbs in three rooms were still flashing in time with each other – by contrast, other non-smart, remote-controlled lights I have in a single fixture fall out of sync within a minute.
Nicely priced – smart light solution with fun color options that works with alexa. I have recently gotten into the “Ring” ecosystem. I was looking for lights and came across these. Really like the color and dimming features. Also for the price I got 4 bulbs for what in many cases you pay the same amount for 2 bulbs. As a novice user of alexa set up took a bit to learn how to add skills (look for that in the instructions because it wont find treatlife bulbs by default) and then you need to learn how to set up routines.I was looking to schedule a front porch light so I put it in a group called front porch, I went to All devices, selected my light (called front porch) and then created a routine called front light on , When – Sunset everyday (you find this under schedule), then add an action, light bulbs are under Smart Home. Then you select your light bulb that you named (in my case front porch) and you can also set the features of the light. I chose power on, full brightness and cool white for the color. If you get these bulbs you have lots of color choices!!! and then you are pretty much done, create one for off at sunrise and you are good to go.I put all this here because maybe this will make it go faster for someone just starting out with alexa integration.I checked the support website, somewhat sparce and mostly focused on their smart switch products but it does give contact information and loads quickly and you can see the full line of items that they make. These are 800 lumen lights and they also work with google home too.Ill have to give the other settings a try but Im really excited to get these and they work really well.If I have any issues I will come back and update this review.
Suitable for my use, Alexa integration and mobile app – meh. This is the second set of bulbs I purchased of this brand. The first was a plain white light, which I thought were RGB+white. These bulbs meet that specification. They are reasonably priced and they seem to work well so far as basic voice-controlled LED lights. They are RGB color-changing bulbs. plus the temperature of the white light is variable. The bulbs produce very bright white light, which can be changed from soft warm light to cool light. The Alexa skills manage these changes satisfactorily as does the TreaLife app. The bulbs produce a wide range of colors. Some of the colors are pale and washed out, while others are strong and vibrant. This may be a matter of perception. FOr example, the pink and purple colors are barely distinguishable at low brightness and at full brightness. The color produced by the bulbs is variable via Alexa and the TreatLife app.I think the Alexa skills and the TreatLife app are just OK. I had higher expectations of both. Such expectations include finer control of the devices and easier management of a group of bulbs. I have 4 TreatLifee bulbs in my bedroom; 2 over my bed and 2 bulbs in lamps on my desk. Alexa’s deficiency in speech recognition makes it so I have to spell out which of the two desk lamps I am referring to in almost every request. I have a device group named “Desk Lites” comprising “Desk Lite 1” and “Desk Lite 2.” If I utter “Echo turn off Desk Lites,” A:exa says it has several devices sharing that name and then asks which device I am addressing. This response is annoying. The TreatLife app is handy for simple control of the bulbs and I also like the notification feature. The app’s automation features are virtually unintelligible to me and I have yet to figure them out–honestly, I’ve stopped trying. I like the Scenes feature of the app, but it is not well implemented. Similarly, the individual bulb control operates in unexpected ways. For example, when moving from the Scenes feature back to the individual bulb control, the bulb changes state back to where it was when last the control panel was visited. I would expect the bulb to remain in its current state unless I change it. The Change to the beat feature does not work as expected. If I am addressing one bulb and I change to another, the previously addressed bulb stops changing to the music. I think all bulbs in the same room should respond as programmed based on what the phone “hears.” This feature is totally broken in my opinion; however, because of its infrequent use and limited appeal, this is more of an annoyance.Overall, I like the bulbs for the use I have for them. The price is good and they are easy to set up and control with the related app and the available Alexa skills. If you are seeking more advanced control and automation features, then these bulbs may not meet your requirements.
Good bulbs, good tech, only fair brightness. These bulbs have proven to be long lasting, and problem free for Alexa based home automation. We primarily use them for white light, but we have also used them for color output on occasion to good effect. They are a little dim by comparison to other brand LED bulbs we own which is rated at the same wattage. I might investigate whether the non-color version of this brand bulb is brighter, however I would by this product and brand again.
Fantastic Customer Service. The product is great. At a fraction of the cost of Phillips Hue and it does pretty much the same things without a hub.I ordered 2 4packs and 1 bulb was defective. Amazon would not allow me to return just one bulb and I had already installed the others. I reached out to TreatLife directly and they handled it swimmingly! They sent me 1 bulb and I did not have to return the defective item.
Super fast delivery and bright. My daughter has tried to find bright lights like this and has ordered 3 different kinds. One was way too dim, one was missing the remote. These were delivered in two days and super bright!
Smart lightbulbs. My family loves them, they enjoy using various colors at various times of the day. I appreciate using 100% brightness. We can all have what we want with one bulb and save money too.
A few glitches, but no big deal. I’ve been buying these for a few years and have replaced almost every light in my house. Setup is pretty easy, but I have had a few times where they stop communicating with Alexa. If I screw out the bulb and screw it back in, that usually takes care of the problem. But glitches are pretty rare, and seem to only be on one or two outlets. The bulbs aren’t super bright, but it’s cool how you can turn them into whatever color you want. I have certain lights set up to go on a half hour before sunset and off a half hour after sunrise, so I never have to worry about getting up early to turn off all the lights in the morning. I love it!
Three toddlers approve. The lights offer a nice array of colors that my three (yes, three) toddler niece and nephew’s love to test endlessly. They come up to me daily and ask “Boo? Pee? Wee? Puhpo!” (Blue, pink, green, purple). White, orange, red, and yellow are favorites of theirs too. With the “abuse” they’ve put them through, these kids should be paid product testers lol. They’re putting the lights color changing abilities through the ringer and they’re still going strong since I introduced them to the lights about a month ago. I’ll update if that changes at any point. I don’t have it connected to Alexa so I can’t comment on that.My only complaint, and the reason I didn’t give 5 stars (I would have rated 4.5 if I could), was that I have it set up with 3 bulbs in a ceiling fan in my bedroom. At least once a day, one specific light doesn’t get the signal with the other two, or it’s delayed by 30 seconds to 5 minutes. We’ve reset the connection, used the smart things app as well as the app provided, flip the actual switch on and off, and removed and replaced the bulbs themselves, but the problem persists. This occurred before the kiddos found out about the lights, so it’s not from the excessive testing they put them through, lol. I’ve also randomly had the lights turn on in the middle of the night a few times, which is mildly jarring when you’re half awake and know you shut them off. Not a deal breaker, I could just flip the switch to avoid it, but I like controlling it by the app.It wouldn’t prevent me from buying them again. The entertainment for the three toddlers is enough to purchase again.
Great colorful lights. These bulbs are great and really bright. Using them for front and back porch lights.Fairly easy to connect with the wireless router as long as you have the 2.4gHz enabled. They won’t connect to a 5gHz network. After they are connected, you can turn off the 2.4gHz if you choose to. They will still work on the 5gHz part as long as they are connected. Really easy to use app as well. Overall, good purchase.
As an engineer, I couldn’t have made a better light. Just what I was looking for. Typically when you buy an electronic that requires an app to go with it, the app is not very good because they focused on the product. That’s not the case with this. I ordered a couple other Wi-Fi bulbs to find the best one and this was it. On the app, you can change the brightness, color and a whole bunch of other settings. My favorite feature allows you to set a schedule for your lights to turn on or off. I live in Idaho where sunrise is 9am during the winter. This allows me to simulate an earlier sunrise by putting these bulbs in my over head main room lights, and my lamps to help me wake up easier. I can decide when they turn on, starting at 1% brightness slowly fading in over the course of 30 mins or whatever I specify. There are so many other features and settings to change. 10/10 would recommend. I’ve only had them about a month, but haven’t had any problems so far. I’m a pretty particular/OCD guy, so it takes a lot to get 5 stars from me.
Work exactly as described. I really like it when the product does everything it says in the description. It was easy to set up with Alexa. It makes life almost too easy in the kitchen. Never have to touch the switch, just ask Alexa. Now I want some for other rooms.
Stay Connected: Our Long-Term Review of Treatlife Wi-Fi Smart LED Lights. My husband and I have our entire house equipped with these lights. Considering their price, these lights are unbeatable. The setup is straightforward, and as long as you have a reliable Wi-Fi network, they maintain a steady connection unless there’s a power outage. The key to using these effectively is downloading the Smart Life app. We’ve bought these lights from various resellers over time, so it’s not just a case of getting one good batch. The color brightness, as you can see in the photos, is quite satisfactory. The blue light comes from just one bulb, yet it’s impressively bright. In over four years, only three bulbs have failed due to connectivity issues, but they still work in white mode when switched on manually. If your Wi-Fi router is substandard, you might encounter difficulties, but that’s a router issue, not a problem with the lights. Wi-Fi networks have a limit on how many devices they can handle. Do yourself a favor and try a 4-pack of these lights. Note: This review is completely independent; we were not compensated in any way.
Great Lighbulbs. Color-changing light bulbs are a fun, versatile addition to any space. With customizable colors and brightness, they create perfect ambiance for any mood or occasion. Many offer app control or voice compatibility, making it easy to switch colors. Ideal for parties or relaxation, they’re easy to install!
Always a winner. I’ve purchased many Treatlife devices over the year’s including light switches (single pole and 3-way) plus many indoor and outdoor plugs. Several of those are dimming devices as well. They all work great and I’ve never had a problem with any of them, the light bulbs are no exception. I’m pretty picky about the Kelvin color temperature of all my bulbs matching perfectly and these make that easy to achieve. I like that I can dial in the perfect the color temp and brightness of each device. I have many on schedules that have them coming on and going off at various times, adjusting the brightness as well. Also, I don’t want to use multiple apps to operate my smart devices, so I only purchase and use devices that are compatible with the SmartLife app, which these are. That is what initially drew me to this brand and the quality is what keeps me devoted to them. These are great bulbs and I’ve had no problems at all with any of them.
True Rating: 4.5 Stars. Let me explain… This has been, by far, the easiest set up for smart lights only 2nd to the Amazon Basic lights. The Amazon Basic light recognizes this smart bulb, and you literally have nothing to do but to walk through the app to set it up. The reason I give this a 4.5 is because you have to download another app and set up the light thru it. It’s not a hard set but it’s just another app among all the other apps you have. However, once you set it up and connect the app to Alexa, everything else is easy peasy. One thing about the lightbulb is that it offers features I wasn’t particularly interested in but that’s not a negative. One thing this light offers it multiple colors. Again, not a negative but I’m not running a disco in my house so, for me, I may never use this feature. However, I like daylight bulbs in the house so you can simply adjust the light to your liking and brightness and I love that. Connectivity, again, simple once you download the app. You don’t have to force it into pairing mode which is a plus as that was the problem I was having with the first smart bulb I purchased. I’m hoping I don’t have the problem of losing the connectivity as I did with the first smart bulb.If you’re looking for a smart bulb, I would highly recommend this bulb (again, after the Amazon Basics) but this is an excellent choice!
Easy. I love them because I can manage them through the app.
Excels smart bulbs. The bulbs are dope!I’m really happy with my purchase, I enjoy the app, makes things easy as hell. I found the grouping of the bulbs were easy. Great price, easy to set up, just works great. I will eventually y more for my whole house
Great with Alexa and WiFi connectivity. The smart bulbs instantly connected to my Wi-Fi and they are compatible with Alexa! Cool Lightning Features as well. The app is super easy to use and the quality of the bulb and light is nice. I hope they last a long time.
Game changer while traveling. These bulbs are a game changer. Forget the old fashioned timers, these bulbs make scheduling on/off times easy for everyday and travel. The multicolor feature is a bonus. App is easy to use.
