Great device, app, and customer support. We initially got a GPS tracking device to be able to track our special needs son in the event he would go missing. We pin it to his pocket when he goes to school, when we are out and about on the weekends, and when we go out of town or on vacation. Our biggest fear is that one day he will go missing and he won’t be able to communicate to someone who he is, where he lives, what the home number is, etc. With this device and the phone app, we have piece of mind that if he ever goes missing, we will be able to find where he is at. We love the comfort of knowing where he is at that we go one for our other child who is not special needs, just in case.We used to have another GPS tracking device that we used for a number of years, but that (as many of the older GPS tracking devices do) worked on the G2 network which is slowly being phased out. Over the last few years we’ve seen a lot of the functionality on that other GPS tracker go away. The thought of not being able to track our son was heartbreaking for us and finding a replacement GPS tracker was difficult to do because they all were using the 2G network. We finally found this Tracki device and per the specs it runs on the 3G network. I was so excited when we found this we immediately ordered a set of them. I will have to say I was skeptic at first because it seemed like such a new product (we ordered ours in August and all the reviews we were able to find anywhere were only from a few months ago) but we figured we had nothing to loose, if we weren’t happy, we could cancel service. I will have to say that this device and the company have far exceeded my expectations and my experience with other devices.The price of the device is extremely reasonable. The plans are great. Right now, since we’ve been trying it out we went with the month to month plan, but at some point we will switch to one of their yearly plans, which will save us money.The app is still relatively new. It was released in March 2019 and they are at version 2.3. I can say that it has greatly improved and they are constantly making improvements and releasing updates. The app will get a notification for any of the triggers you setup (such as enter or leave a zone you define). If you want other people to get notified of activities, they don’t need to have the app, you can setup the app to send text messages to specific mobile numbers and you can also set it up to send e-mail to specific e-mail address. It will show you the batter life that remains for the device, and you can set it to notify you if the device hits a percent battery life so that you know it’s time to recharge the battery. The batter life is great, we go a few days without having to charge it. You can set it up to refresh location every 1, 2, 5, 10, 30 minutes or even 1, 2, or 4 hours. The app will even let you “ping” the device so that it will beep. We’ve used this option a few times when the kids didn’t remember exactly where in the house they put their device. This is a great feature!! It will also let you see past history of the device movement, this might come in handy at some point if anyone goes missing.The device has some nice features as well. It has a power button so you can turn the device off at night. Other’s don’t have this. We power them down when the kids come home, that saves batter life. It has 3 buttons, one is an SOS button in case your child runs into problems, it will notify the app on the phone and let you know the SOS button was pressed. It has 2 other buttons as well that you can use for whatever you want to be notified for. It comes with a clip that you can put on, so a child can clip it to their pants. It has a little ring loop that you can put a key ring on. We put a small cable tie with a safety pin so that we could pin it to our sons pockets to make it harder to take off.You may see comments that say that the device is not accurate. I will say, based on experience on trying several GPS tracking devices, they are all like that. It might not update the second you look at the app, but it will update, just give it time.I’ve called customer support twice for help on two different items, and they were VERY accommodating and EXTREMELY helpful. In the “Help – Contact Support” section of the app, it has a button to “Call Support”, so they make it easy to get a hold of them when you need to.

Terrible Battery Life – No Response to Inquiry. I purchased 2 of these devices.(1) It is difficult to discern if the device is on or off.(2) Fully charged before overseas flight. Placed in luggage at 0400 GMT.(3) Tracked until the flight.(4) When arrived home at 2300 GMT, both trackers were < 30% charge. That's a loss of 70% of charge in less than 20 hours.I wrote to them on Amazon 3 days ago and got no response.UPDATE – Got a response. Said they would give me a full refund if I provided my phone number. I have responded twice and got nothing from Tracki.There is no way to turn off the subscription without telephoning their support because the app's function does not work.Avoid this company.UPDATE: Get hear back from an EXCELLENT Customer Service person. He listened, took responsibility, gave full refund AND sent 2 new devices with service as recompense for our troubles. Sometimes, it's not that a company messes up, but HOW they recover makes all the difference. I changed from 1 to 4 stars with this update.

It works well now. This was my first review. Read below to see the UPDATE to see how Tracki dealt with my problem:During a 40 minutes car ride, followed by a 5 hour stay in a building, followed by another 40 minute car ride I am lucky to get a few pings with this tracker. I have it set to send every 15 seconds. In reality if you get a hit every 10 minutes you are doing good. And this is in a Major Metropolitan area. Don’t expect this thing to work well, or even at all. No, its not me. I watched their videos and listened to their excuses on why tracking is poor. I have it set for Wi-fi and GPS. The only thing it has going for it is that it is a small tracker, but if it doesn’t really work – what good is it?UPDATE: I was contacted by Tracki and they were able to troubleshoot the device. It works as advertised now. I had attempted to contact customer service to try and figure out the problem, but that was an unsuccessful undertaking using a phone rep. If you have problems that a phone rep can’t handle, I suggest you escalate. Perhaps I was unlucky and got the new guy on the phone. Maybe they are not trained enough. You should know that once you get to the right people you will experience EXCELLENT customer service. This product deserves 5 stars but I am taking off one star due to the hoops I had to jump through to get here.

Excellent tracker, very detailed. I bought this tracker to track my 5 year old when she started going to Kindergarten (as well as aftercare), and had to get on several different buses every day. I’ve been using it for a month now, and have been very impressed so far! The app was very easy to install and connect to the device, and picking the subscription package for the data was also very easy. I picked a one year plan, which lowered the price to $13 a month. The tracker can narrow its location down to a street and house number, and even shows which side of the building it’s on when it displays on the map. I can see if my daughter is in her school’s right wing or left wing for instance. The main map looks like Google Maps and you can also change the settings to show the map a different way. The tracker itself is very light and small (picture attached) and does not weigh down my daughter, I tucked it into the bottom of her bag. The app has many features, such as speed notifications, movement notifications, geofence notifications, location sharing to others, battery level, and full history of the tracker (which you can sort by the kind of data you need). I have geofences set up on mine, and it notifies me when my daughter enters/exits her school, aftercare, and when she’s on the move on the bus. If needed, the history feature can provide an entire map of all the places the tracker went over the last X number of hours/days. When a kid at my daughter’s school took the tracker out of her backpack and brought it home, I was able to track the entire history and send his address to the school, after which they got the tracker back to us the next day. The battery levels have been great so far! I charge it once a weekend and it lasts all week. It has never died on me. It sends you a battery alert when the tracker is getting low, and you can also set the tracker to turn ‘inactive’ when it’s not moving, to save battery. That way, it won’t update its location or track anything unless it’s on the move. One extra feature is that you can also use the tracker to find your phone, you press the right button on the device and it will send a loud alarm to your phone. There is also an SOS button which your kid can press if they’re in trouble. There are only two small issues I’ve been having. One is that I can’t seem to turn off the email notifications, and I have tried many times. I toggle the button to OFF and save it, but next time I am on the app, it’s back to ON. So it sends an email for every geofence notification now. Which I just delete, but it’s annoying because I get one for every zone exit/entry. The second issue is that my husband and I share our account on the tracker, and when he logs into the app, I get logged out, and vice versa. Also a minor issue, but we both tend to track her when she’s on the bus, and constantly get kicked out. The two issues are nothing unmanageable though, and certainly do not weigh up against the tons of pros this device has. Have recommended it to various other parents too, especially Android users who can’t buy an airtag (like myself). This tracker, unlike an airtag, also won’t notify someone that it’s in their vicinity, which (I hate to even have to think about this) wouldn’t alert a kidnapper that the kid has a GPS on her. All in all, this has been my favorite purchase ever on Amazon and it has brought me great peace of mind!

Great tracker. I bought one of these to keep track of my luggage when traveling. It works great. I then placed it in my car when it went in for service. I put a geofence around the dealership’s service center. I changed the speed warning to 30mph. I caught the service person via this little tracker driving my car behind the dealership’s service center at unlawful speeds. The roads are posted as 30 mph. This tracker show the driver/service person driving at over 80 mph on those poorly maintained roads. That service person was fired and it has never happened again.This incident along with my car being one of the most desired cars to steal, I purchased a second one to leave in the car.Pros:1) Great price for the basic unit.2) Great prices on the subscription especially if you get the 2-year plan option. That is less than $10 / month. Great price to know where your car is at all times.3) The tracker has many options like * Setting up multiple geofence areas. * Speed limit alerts warnings. * Movement alerts * Low battery alerts * Able to switch between KPH and MPH4) Has a hard wire accessory that you can buy to hardwire this to your car so it has power all the time without using a battery.The only Con:The unit by itself has just a three day battery life.Because of this, I purchased the extended life battery which last three (3) months for the one in my luggage and a hard wired kit to power the one in my car. That solved the short battery life problem.Over all, a great little tracker for the price of the unit and the subscriptions.If you need to keep track of something like your car, I highly recommend this tracker.

Effective tracker. This tracker is very accurate. I haven’t had issues staying connected and is helpful in monitoring speed of vehicle as well. The membership is 19.99 a month and is well worth it. It was easy to set up and is durable. The reason I took a star away is the poor battery life. Although it includes battery save options, I found I was charging it ever a few days.
