Good product at decent price. I own two Tapo cams now. I use them all the time. I now live in a motel, 6 month lease, and it’s not the best area. So I bought this one on a different one so they can cover my butt when I leave for shopping or work or whatever. Very easy to set up. Very easy to use the software app. The video quality is excellent and not choppy. But the audio recording and the two-way feature have something for the company to work on. You can understand some of what someone says in the room when it’s recording, but that isn’t good quality at all. That’s my only gripe. After a little research into these type of devices, I find that in most cases, excellent audio doesn’t come and tell your head a $90 or above product. And I mean that I seem to hear that about all brand product. I’m not saying that I don’t like this product because I do. I very much do. If I was able to get a bigger place, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a couple more of these. They are very small and easy to tuck away.I love the feature that it has for storing the videos, both on a media card and cloud storage. The cloud storage comes with a 30-day trial after which you will have to pay for a month subscription. If you’re using these for real security reasons, I would highly recommend to go ahead and get your 30-day subscription that will support multiple items at once. You won’t need to have to get a subscription for each one. That way if the place does get robbed, I can only assume that they would snag these cams thinking they would take the evidence with them. The cloud storage stops that. After testing a lot of times what the label is like when I walk into my room as it is secured until my phone receives the alert, sending a photo of the visitor to my phone immediately. Well immediately meeting within 10 seconds sometimes 15 seconds. Well that’s good enough for me.I also like the fact that it has the option to activate an alarm as well as motion detection recording. It sounds like the standard alarm clock on your phone. The volume is about the same as a decent phone turned all the way up for alarm. It does in fact echo out into the Hall with my door closed.

not reliable. UPDATE: I bought two more in the hope that one would always be up, I like the camera, the picture is good, the price is not bad. I bought this camera to watch my house during our vacation, it worked great and I was excited I set it up and tried it for a week before we left. Five days after we left on our trip the camera is off line and all the trouble shooting requires me to be at the camera and I am several hundred miles away! A security camera that is not reliable is useless. I know that the router is up and connected because other connected devices are fine. I am very disappointed..
Perfect. Got this for the living room as a baby monitor for my 4 year old while i work in my office. Perfect, easy to use and set up. I stuck it on top of the blinds and got a birds eye view. I do not think the mic is all that great but the night vision is wonderful. I m super impressed with the quality considering how cheap it was. Crazy. I sure will be buying more of these. NOT FOR OUTDOOR USE,
Just what I needed. I was skeptical at first because of how cheap it was. But honestly, this is perfect! I use it as a baby camera/room camera and it’s amazing. Quality of video is great, you can make a call through the room, you need a SD card to record motion so I bought one for memories, you can set the time for it to actively catch motion and send you notifications and you can put it on privacy mode for whatever purpose.
Great for the home. Very easy installation. Decided to buy it to keep an eye on my dog, has also been handy for spotting kids when they get home from school! App is very easy to use and I can set up notification times for my phone.
The TP-Link Tapo 2K Indoor Camera: A Surprisingly Excellent Choice. As someone who has delved into the world of home security cameras, purchasing and testing models from Meross, Ubiquiti, Nest, Ring, and others, I’ve encountered my fair share of unique challenges with each brand. I’ve even invested over $200 on some Ubiquiti cameras, all in the pursuit of finding the perfect balance of functionality, ease of use, and affordability. However, it wasn’t until I came across the TP-Link Tapo 2K Indoor Camera that I felt I had found a device that stood out in the crowded market, especially for a very specific need: ensuring the safety and monitoring of my in-laws who have recently moved into an assisted living community. The aspect of this camera that immediately caught my attention was its affordability combined with its robust feature set, something I had begun to think was impossible to find. Unlike other systems that nickel and dime you for every additional feature, the TP-Link Tapo offers a comprehensive package without the need for a subscription service. This was particularly appealing as it enabled me to keep an eye on my in-laws’ well-being without incurring ongoing costs.Installation and setup were astonishingly straightforward. I opted for a 256GB SD card, which was more than adequate for our needs and was incredibly easy to install and configure. This ease of setup is not something I can say for all the cameras I’ve tested in the past, where sometimes the setup process seemed almost deliberately complicated. The video quality is another point where the Tapo 2K Indoor Camera shines. It delivers crisp, clear images that make it easy to see what’s happening, even from a distance. But perhaps the feature that sets it apart the most is the ability to playback footage remotely. This has given me peace of mind, knowing that I can easily check in on my in-laws at any time, from anywhere.Price-wise, the Tapo 2K is unbeatable. Considering the high costs of some competitors’ cameras that still require additional outlays for full functionality, the value proposition of the Tapo 2K is clear. It’s an affordable, effective solution for anyone looking to secure their home or, in my case, keep a watchful eye on loved ones in a care setting. In conclusion, the TP-Link Tapo 2K Indoor Camera has proven to be a little gem in a market saturated with overpriced and overcomplicated alternatives. Its combination of ease of use, excellent video quality, remote playback capability, and affordability make it a standout option. It’s a purchase I’ve been thoroughly pleased with and would recommend to anyone in a similar situation or anyone looking for a reliable home security camera without unnecessary frills or expenses.

Great price, GREAT QUALITY. Very small and compact and simple installation. It works both online and offline, we installed an SD card as backup, just in case the wifi goes out. The price of the subscription for monitoring and recording online is much less expensive than the Ring subscription. We use this around our house and have no problems with any of our cameras, and we have multiple types of units. The app is very simple and user friendly.I bought this for my wife to take with her on work travel, to keep in her hotel room while she away at work during the day or night. There are a great number of her coworkers who are noticing things going missing from their hotel room, and we do not want the same thing to happen to her belongings, as they are very important. The motion detection is sensitive, and picks up noise, even before entering the room. It can record up to a minute at a time, but do multiple videos of all the motion and sound detection.Ultimately a good buy, and will get more if needed.
Great budget camera. This works great for $15! If you have a DVR system for your camera, this will work with it if your software supports RTSP, which is about everything. The only downside is that you will need the phone app to configure the device. Finding where to set a static IP address and other things might take a few minutes of tapping around, but it’s all in there. If you don’t have a DVR, you can set up “human detection” and motion detection in the app and access the recorded clips through the app from your home wireless network. No cloud subscription required. The human detection is pretty accurate.Image quality is pretty good for the price. Low light works well. I have a streetlamp about 100ft away and it lights up the whole yard pretty well when viewed through the camera. Yes, this camera is stuck to a window frame peering outwards, which is not the intended application due to potential fog and glare from the glass, but it does work pretty well in my usage.I would take a star away from the rating due to the camera not being accessible from a web browser, but my expectations for what I spent weren’t very high and this camera exceeded them.
Goodbye Wyze, hello Tapo. I’ll be writing this on all the Tapo cameras I’ve recently purchased. (4x C110, 2x C210, 2x C520WS)These are flawless, amazing, and so far ahead of Wyze it’s not even funny. They are massively affordable, truly need no subscription, have fantastic features in their app, can record locally to an SD card; everything you would want. Coming from Wyze (see more below), I didn’t know that cameras were supposed to act like this. I assumed, at Wyze prices, that I was getting what I paid for. But when I finally had enough constant stress and spent the money to change to Tapo… my life has been changed. Seriously, I probably added years to my life not being so stressed out all the time because my cameras never, ever worked right. These do, and I cannot say it enough times… if you’re currently using Wyze then get one of these. Use it for a week side-by-side and tell me what you think.Super light, have a few of mine mounted with ‘hard plastic velcro’ (3M Dual Lock). Setup is fast and easy, and works right away. Don’t have to do it over and over again (Wyze). Clarity is superb – 1440p quality. Night vision is phenomenal. Don’t really care about ‘color’ night vision – but my outdoor ones do have it. And one of the best parts is Tapo is part of TP-Link. What does that mean? TP-Link has been around for a very long time, and they specialize in networking equipment, LoL. So yeah, if you want a reliable camera on your network, who better to trust than a networking company.TLDR: Don’t waste your time on any other brand. Buy these. I promise you won’t regret it.About Wyze:If you’re like me and never wanted to spend thousands on home monitoring and security, then you may have stumbled upon Wyze cameras. At first, they were amazing – very affordable with no subscription necessary. And they worked. Over time, that changed drastically as they ventured into making everything else on the planet instead of focusing on their roots (cameras). They funded that stuff by changing to a subscription policy. And in their haste had multiple security breaches and problems such as other people viewing cameras that aren’t theirs. This is of course while the software and hardware has become so incredibly bad that they’re unusable. I mean, they actually do not function 92% of the time. Whether it’s freezing, not connecting, stuttering so bad that it looks like a PowerPoint presentation, app for closing, etc.

Easy, reliable, and inexpensive. Works like a charm. Linked to my spotty wifi in seconds! Gives clear video capture down a super long hallway. Captures sound too! Records! Small fee for storage. Under $3 a month. It has a cord, so keep that in mind.
Huge value in this product. This has brought me a certain peace, which is hard to come by normally. I can rest easy when away from home and that is actually priceless. Easy to use software, reliable, immediately lets me know by text if something moves even an inch, even in a pitch black room. I was able to secure a year long cloud storage subscription with Tapo for $35 bucks. Most pleased with entire investment. Thank you Tapo!!
Great and Totally Worth. I ordered to check their quality in 2k and I must say I am surprised. It’s great clarity and super easy to setup. They are totally worth to be used indoor and in-fact can be used outdoor as well provided you are subscribed to back up the feed. I do feel a minor lag in 2 way communication but the sound is clear. At current thanks giving offers, I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.
Just opened what I thought would be a brand-new camera. Scuffs and scratches all over the front. Disappointed.
These cameras just work – the setup was easy, the physical install and design works well, the app is quite useful and works well. And, to top it off, the RTSP/ONVIF functionality in these works perfect – just click ‘camera account’ in the settings, create a username and password, and then connect to the camera with a url like this; rtsp;//username:[email protected]:554/stream1 – the quality is fantastic! and I’ve replaced all my wyze cameras with these units. Don’t hesitate to buy!
Great camera, great price. I have an outdoor security camera of a different brand, and I purchased these cameras, when I couldn’t find an indoor one of the same brand as my outdoor. I love the quality of the cameras and doesn’t seem to be dark or blurry, setup was super easy. I wish they came with a no screw mounting option, but I was able to find one to purchase separately. Also, the ability to speak through the system and video seems to be a bit laggy, but I would absolutely buy again, and might switch outdoor cameras to this brand.
Buena calidad y buen precio
