Works great and is much quieter than the larger AC powered home units and it’s much less expensive. This kit is really a good bargain. It has some advantages over the much larger, AC powered Vacuum Units for hone use.1. It’s 1/2 or more less than much larger Food vacuum units!2. It’s super quiet in operation. AC units make so much noise that you can hold a conversation with someone without having to shout!3. It’s totally portable. Take it with you when traveling or visiting other places. It uses rechargeable batteries.4. Bags are already preformed so you don’t have to waste time ‘making your own bags’ before placing food into the bag for sealing.5. Battery powered means you don’t have to have an AC outlet to use it.6. This makes a great kitchen gift for foodies.The one quibble I have is – getting the sealed bag with food in it to start the vacuum is a little tricky and requires a some fiddling with to get it started. But, once started, it is just fine.
Works like it’s supposed to, is very easy to use, and has many uses. I bought it to seal my seeds, and needed heavy duty freezer vacuum bags that are reusable for when I need to pull seeds out to plant, then reseal the remaining seed stock. It works well, and is very convenient. The little pump is sufficient… it will pull the necessary vacuum, but is fairly slow. But the convenience of a rechargeable small pump makes it fine for this use. If I was going to do a whole lot at a time, I’d probably rig up my commercial vacuum pump, but it’s not worth the effort for as easy as it is to just grab this little unit. The bags are basically a heavy duty ZipLok freezer bag, but with the textured surface on the inside for the air to flow, and the simple check valve that the pump sets on, seals via the silicone rubber ring on the pump, and allows the pump to extract the air. It takes a few seconds for the check valve to open up, but when it does, you can then see the bag start to collapse as the air is sucked out. Great little product for the price and does what other things can’t do. I’ll be interested to try it on sous vide, but that’s not what I bought it for… that’ll just be a bonus. I do use it to store my homemade bread in. I make two loaves at a time, and one loaf get put in one of these bags, extract just enough air until the bread compresses slightly, then into the freezer. No ice crystals and it thaws perfectly. The loaf that I’m using goes into one of the large 12×13″ bags, and again, I pull just enough air out until you see a slight compression of the bread… now it’s sealed from mold spores and stays fresh for a very long time. It’s not that hard to pull a vacuum on it after taking the loaf out to slice some pieces off of it, and the pump is compact enough to just leave on the counter. It also works great for putting tortilla chips in. When we get the big bag of tortilla chips from COSTCO, the first thing is take out as many as will fit into one of these large vacuum bags and pulling a vacuum on it. The chips stay fresh, which they won’t in the opened store bag they came in. Extra produce from the farm [tomato and pepper slices first frozen on a cookie sheet] can go into these bags and then into the freezer. You can pull out “fresh” tomato and peppers to use, then re-vacuum the bag to keep ice crystals from forming on the pieces. Works great for cookies and other snacks that will go stale. Basically, anything that I need access to that the Food Saver permanently sealed bags aren’t practical for, these get used. I have found that the valves do sometimes slightly leak over time, so I usually put a small piece of thin film tape [like packing tape, with a folded over section for a pull tab] over the suction valve after I’ve pulled the vacuum, which can be reused every time. Great little product, and I bought 3 kits for the farm.
Months later, I had to change my review. Original review: live in a 263 sq ft tiny home so when I wanted to start vacuum sealing vegetables from our farm co-op, I needed something that takes up little counter space. This little guy has been a great investment! 1 charge has lasted a while and as you can see it gets all the air out. Easy to charge and just a great buy if you need something like this in a small space.Edit May 18, 2023.Went to plug the pump in today and the charger port was loose and no longer in the port hole. It has fallen inside the pump. It is now worthless. I would love for the seller to reach out and offer a solution. As it stands right now I got this item in February and here I am in May and it’s broken. It was well cared for, no mistreatment.Updated 5/22/23I did reach out to the merchant who has issued me a partial refund for the broken pump. Not completely ideal as I now have to buy a new one, but they did at least attempt to fix the problem.
Snazzy gizmo for the price. The media could not be loaded. I only got this a few weeks ago so I reserved the right to change my mind and update my review if it dies or breaks or stops charging, but so far I am impressed with how effective it is for such a bargin price. It takes a good 10-20 seconds of running before the vacuum effects kick in on with whatever you are sealing but after that it does a really good job, even with lumpy stuff like bread or buns.
Wonderful product. This is such a wonderful wonderful product as I am so very pleased with it. It will be so nice too take veggies as well as Meats out of my freezer without everything having Frost burn on them and then having to throw away. Highly highly recommend this product
It works & is so easy. It is very easy to use, and does exactly what I wanted it to. I wanted bags that I could suck all the air out so when I freeze it, they don’t get freezer burn and this is the job. I am buying two more one for my daughter and one for my daughter-in-law.
Slow But Steady Wins the Race. By Bill Marsano. Don’t kid yourself: this unit is no speed merchant. But it’s well built and the accessories are helpful, so here’s what to do: make sure you press out as much air as you can, with the zip seal about 3/4 closed, THEN apply the vacuum. A point in favor of this unit is the bags them selves. There’s a generous supply to begin with, and so far (I’ve used about 3/4 of the supply ) have had no leaks. My previous vac’s have had about a 40% failure rate for bags. Also, small size means small footprint on the counter or in the drawer, and it’s easy to maneuver. All in all, a winner. –Bill Marsano is a relentless tester of kitchen gadgetry.

Works great and very handy. Very handy. I use when I have items that need sealing or resealing to store or freeze. It is so handy and does a great job, plus it is rechargeable and can be easily taken to where I need it which is much easier than bringing to kitchen and using big sealer. I highly recommend it.
Air Tight vs Frost Bite. Easy, compact, reusable, food money saving bags! Bye bye ziplocs!Only downside is delicate liquid nozzle. Should be soft plastic or silicone so it doesn’t crack or break. Nozzle not replaceable.
Great product. I brought this to Philippines because I needed to bring back Bangus and dried fish back to Hawaii. This worked well with the dried fish because the smell did not go through and kept the fresh bangus fresh. And it was a good idea to bring extra bags to use. I left it in the Philippines so we can use it again but now I’m buying another one for my personal use at home
Truly handy. This is made sous vide and freezing so much easier. I have found that using the attachment for foods with liquids in them all the time makes the seal perform better. All in all, easy to use, easy to store and a bargain.
Perfect and compact. This product works great and it’s so easy to use. It’s very convenient due to its small size but still powerful. The unit seems to be durable and easy to hold while using. It comes with a lot of bags that are strong and keep my food fresh. I won’t need to buy any for quite awhile.
Love this. I almost didn’t get this because of some of the reviews and I’m glad I decided to buy it. It’s small but pretty powerful. I used it for 4 days before needing to charge it. Very easy to use and it sucks the air out fast. I washed a couple of the bags but haven’t used them yet so the verdict is still out on that
Every day use. These are handy, I use them for a multitude of food storage. Some are in use daily–cereal, raisins, brown sugar, etc, And just keep on clicking. Best thing for long term, airtight storage. Better get ya some!
Best kitchen item. I debated about purchasing this but i am so glad I finally did. Works great and is so much easier than a regular food saver type. Easy to use and bags are great sizes. Once the bags have been used, I found the best way to wash was to add water to bag with a little soap. Close and shake over sink. Once clean, rinse and dry. Bags can be stacked in freezer and takes up so much less room than plastic containers. Highly recommend.
Better than Food saver. For years I have used Food Saver vacuum sealer, bags, and containers. I have always had issues with the bags not sealing, the plastic piece coming off the bags, the containers get cracks in them and then they won’t seal, and after a few years the vacuum sealer doesn’t work right.I tried these bags and they are so much thicker and better than anything food saver has. They even give a plastic piece to make sure you get a great seal on the bags. I really love these bags. I also ordered the containers, they are glass so no more cracks in the containers.
It works great. I bought this because I shop at a store sometimes that only sells bulk items and I end up throwing a lot of food out, so I took a chance and purchased this, I’m very happy with it, it’s rechargeable and works great!
