Very Slow to Charge…. I was really hoping to have this solar charger for camping so I wouldn’t have to worry about having multiple battery packs or running my car to charge my portable fan, watch, and phone. This battery came mostly charged, but I charged it with a power cord (it comes with a small one) before I left for a 3 day outdoor trip to make sure it was ready. I used it after the first day. Worked fine. I put it on the hood of my car in mostly full sun, no trees, middle of a field. It was blinking, but after 12+ hours, it wasn’t charged enough to use. I left it out in full sun for another day. It had 1 blue dot worth of charge. I brought it home and again left it out for a day in full sun, no shade, no trees nearby. You can see in my photos. It had 2 blue dots. And the power output wasn’t that great. At that rate, it would take *at least* 4 days to charge to full. That defeats the purpose entirely. I live in the mountains, high elevation, the sun is like 10’ from us and our days are long. There’s no reason it should take that long to charge. Every other solar item I have charges to full within an afternoon. The solar lights sitting on the same car with this charger charged to full in the same sun that didn’t charge this battery pack. The door to get to the plug ports is hard to open. I’m a girl with natural nails, I ended up using items to pry it open.I had high hopes, but this charger falls flat. Going to return.
Bad flashlight and compass. I like that it is solar and it does a great job of charging my electronics. The problem was that neither the flashlight or compass worked.
Solar Power Banks. When it comes to combining eco-friendliness with modern-day gadget needs, the Solar-Power-Bank-Portable-Charger undoubtedly stands out. Specifically tailored for devices like the iPhone and tablets, its capacity is a powerhouse for outdoor enthusiasts and campers alike. At the forefront of its design is the high-efficiency solar panel. Encased in a tough exterior, it can withstand minor falls, and its water-resistant capabilities make it resilient against unexpected rain showers or accidental water splashes around the campsite. The power bank boasts a substantial capacity, sufficient to charge an iPhone several times over or give a tablet at least two full charges. Dual USB ports mean you can simultaneously power two devices, a perk for those who juggle between their phone and tablet or for sharing the charging duties with a camping mate.An added gem is its built-in LED flashlight – a thoughtful inclusion for outdoor scenarios. Whether you’re navigating in the dark or need an emergency light during a power outage in the wilderness, this feature proves invaluable. However, for those who might be in a hurry, the power bank does offer a standard charging option via a micro-USB port, ensuring you’re never left wanting power. In summation, the Solar-Power-Bank-Portable-Charger is not just a gadget; it’s a reliable companion for those who venture outdoors. With its robust build, solar charging capabilities, and thoughtful features, it aligns perfectly with the needs of iPhone and tablet users who love camping. It bridges the gap between technology and nature, ensuring you’re connected even when you’re miles away from the nearest power outlet.
good for hiking. charges phone good, but only 2 or 3 x and it needs to be charged
This bad boy is larger than any of my other solar chargers. I’m glad that I have multiple gear bags in different sizes because this one is larger than any of my others. So far I’m liking this charger.
During a power outage, this is the power bank charger to have on hand. We own several power bank chargers; this one has the longest life and provides the most powerful charge of them all. Once it was charged at the plug, it easily maintains its charge by keeping it propped up by a window. We’ve tested it by charging several devices (mainly phones) but have yet to drain it. I’m no expert, but realized the power bank chargers I compared on Amazon all had a number measuring their capacity. This one is 42800mAh while some others are 10,000mAh. That greater capacity seems to be a significant distinction.
Works quite well but it’s not fast. I now have two of these for my Bug-Out Bag. I wanted the Bag to be equipped w/ solar rechargeable power banks so I can set it up w/ components that can be recharged; radio, flashlights, phones, and a charger for rechargeable AA & AAA batteries for other items.More of an observation than a complaint, I’ll say these aren’t real fast; both to charge and be charged. Perhaps that’s the nature of these things. It’s not a serious issue as long as you plan ahead, knowing that the you’ll need time for it to do it’s thing; power IN or OUT. For my use the solar charge capability was essential and, while slow, works just fine. The flashlight feature is nice, not sure how much I’ll use it but nice to have. Same w/ the little compass; not sure of it’s accuracy but doesn’t seem too far off. I believe these are going to work fine for my needs. They are a bit larger and fairly heavy to be carried in a pocket but that’s not the way I plan to use them. I’ve recommended them to family and friends and have now purchased two.

Works great! (Read for explanation of slow solar recharge time.). I bought this to power the fan on an InstaFire Inferno Pro Stove (an indoor/outdoor camping & emergency stove) and for that it works great. It’s well constructed, it has 3 USB ports, the flashlight is nice and bright, and the carabiner clip is a nice touch. However, as others have said, charging by the solar panel is slow; this is NOT a design flaw nor is it an underpowered solar panel. Doing a bit of research, most solar panels for a power bank in this size and price range typically provide 400-500 mAh. The capacity of the battery on this unit is 38800, so doing some basic math that means at a charging rate of 400 mAh (as listed in the manual for this model) it would take 97 hours to fully charge, and that’s under ideal conditions. In the area that I live, the max amount of sunlight in a day is 16 hours, so that means it would take about 6 days to fully charge the battery. The solar panel is not really intended to completely charge up the battery, rather to ‘top it up’ after you’ve used it for a while, mainly for the flashlight. If you need to be able to solar charge this type of device faster, I suggest you purchase an additional solar charging panel; they can be purchased for $20 or less, and Amazon has plenty to choose from.

Awesome charger. The quality of this charger is excellent, great portability for everywhere you go, the performance is outstanding, the size was bigger than I thought, brightness on lights are bright 😎 & the battery life seems endless pending on what you do w/it! The manual was very laid out as to how to work it, what button is for what but the cord is pretty short, need longer one! Other than that it’s great & I’m happy w/it!! A good friend had recommended these solar chargers to me & said you’re crazy to not buy them & how right she was, I ended up buying 2 for upcoming rainy/hurricane season & I’m not going to be stuck w/out a phone 👍 I highly recommend these to everyone, always great to have backups for every occasion! I just recommended these to more friends & they’ll be buying them today!! Thanks for a well made charger, it’s like you get 2 for 1….electric & sun charges, definitely worth the price!! 🤗
Pretty good product. I use this exclusively to charge my phone. Works well charges completely from 0 to 100 in about 4 hours and lasts all night with Spotify must be charged with cigarette lighter type charger solar doesn’t work very well.
Don’t buy. What I didn’t like about this product. Is that it doesn’t work? I’ve charged it numerous times and then plugged it in to charge my phone. And it only charges for about what 20 minutes or so, and then the battery’s dead on the solar powered battery.. I have read the instructions numerous times trying to figure out if I’m doing something wrong and as far as I can tell, I’m not. The directions are not that clear. So if I could return this I would, but I waited too long. This is something I really need living here in Texas since we’ve lost our power numerous times in the past dear so. So I will be looking to purchase another type of charging device for my phone that I can use when the power is out.
Turns off when charging Apple Watch or small devices. I purchased this to charge my Apple Watch USBC on my nightstand. Even with a full charge, I noticed that the charger would not completely charge the Apple Watch and would turn off after several minutes. To complete charging the watch takes about 6 times, manually turning the device on repeatedly to finish charging. The instructions say the charger will automatically turn off when the device is finished charging. I guess it is sensing the wrong signal from the Apple Watch battery.
