  1. Both versions are good, but here’s the differences. I’m switching to these from running sneakers (I was using 361 and Brooks brands) for usage at work. I do 10 hours shifts in a Level 1 Trauma Bay, soooooo lots of time on my feet. I liked the running shoes for a while, but it got annoying that they would constantly update the models and change them so drastically that I couldn’t keep any consistency. They also were wicked expensive. Casually, I tend to wear Vans Slip Ons much of the time, so I gravitated towards these Sketchers… which don’t look quite as fashionable as Vans, but they’re not awful and I’m more interested in the function. Vans are flat as a pancake and will beat the crap out of your feet at my job, even though I do like how much you can feel the ground surface.I started with a pair of the GogaMax insoles. They were great over the course of 3+ weeks, during which I could feel them break in nicely. They started out feeling a bit snug, but the insole broke in and I believe the mesh also began to loosen just a bit on the uppers, so eventually they started to feel a bit roomy actually. So I know some reviews say they run small, but I’ve had the opposite experience. The GogaMax is nice and squishy. I had previously had a bit of an ache in my achilles area that has since disappeared since getting these. They breathe way better than the running sneakers, and better than canvas Vans. I read a review here that said they were hot and not breathable…. that’s insane to me. Totally airy in my experience.Weight is also an issue for me. One of my legs is a prosthetic above the knee. That’s a lot of heavy equipment that’s controlled only by my hip. The shoe has a large effect on that, because it’s all the way at the bottom and there’s sort of a pendulum effect if the shoe is very heavy. Both types of these GoWalk shoes are maybe the lightest I’ve ever worn. Not too important for most people, but if it matters to you… definitely try these slip ons. However, I just got a pair with the GogaMat insoles yesterday. Why? No good reason… I’m in need of a new pair of shoes around the house, for light yard work and stuff like that. Figured I would compare the two insoles, and the ones I like the least would be relegated to yard duty. Also, the GogaMat insole is like $10 less on average… why not?For those wondering if the GogaMat is not squishy, fear not. The GogaMat is still squishy, it is just a bit less squishy than the GogaMax. It’s also possible that the GogaMat has more “bounce” than the GogaMax, but I’m going to need more time to test and confirm that. I am also noticing that the GogaMat feels less snug in the new phase… I’m not sure if that’s because of the insole difference, or perhaps it’s just a manufacturing inefficiency. The GogaMat already feels nearly as roomy as my GogaMax shoes, and I’ve just started using them yesterday.I’ll update this after the GogaMat pair is broken in after a few weeks at work. But my first impression is that most people would barely notice the difference between GogaMat VS GogaMax insoles. One is squishy, the other is squishier. Buyers mostly need to decide if they want to spend a few bucks more for additional squishiness.

  3. They are comfortable and wear well. I thought I would try slip on shoes. I did some looking around and chose these. Then I measured my feet for length and width and found the standard size for that combination, and I ordered. When I received them I put them on and they fit ‘like a glove.’ Some reviewers complained that the shoes they got did not fit. My experience is different. I wanted all black and that was what I chose. One, they fit and as such are very comfortable. Two, the texture of the upper shoe is a bit odd, but that disappears when you are wearing them. Three, the soles are thick and have a give. So you feel like you are walking on a surface that gives and gives you a bounce which is different but not unpleasant. ‘Slip on’ is a bit odd as characterization. They do not slip on easily. You pull on using the heel pull on loop. They are pull ons. That is not particularly difficult and when they are on they fit to the feet very nicely. I have only had them for a couple of weeks so I do not know about long term wear, but they are wearing quite nicely now.

  4. Sizing stinks, otherwise a great value. Great overall shoes. Very comfortable and seem to be good quality. I’d give it a 5-star if not for the sizing. I typically wear an 11.5 or 12. Amazon recommended that I order a 13 based on my previous purchases. A number of reviews said to order up a size.I decided to go with my true size, which is an 11.5. They were too long and narrow. So I returned them and went with an 11 wide. Better, but still too long and slipped on the heel. Finally, I decided to try a 10.5 wide and they’re perfect. It took me several weeks and returns to finally get the right fit. Befuddles me as to why a shoe manufacturer can’t make a mold using a good old fashioned foot measuring instrument that are used in good shoe stores, so that sizing is consistent.Regardless of that, once you figure out what size you need, these shoes are a great value.

  5. They fit like a glove. I have bought 8 or 9 pairs of shoes on line over the years and not a single pair has ever fit me! I had all but given up until i saw an ad for these Sketchers.. so i took a deep breath and tried one more time… i am a woman who wears a size 10 or 8 in mens, so i measured my foot and decided on the 8.5 X wideSo I got them today and pulled them on and they fit pergectly.. plenty long enough and wide enough finally! Sketchers has sure made a believer out of me and earned a life long customer! Needless to say.. i highly recommend these beautiful shoes for anyone who is hard to fit. The soles are great and sturdy but not clunky and the body of the shoe has just enough stretch and give to prevent any pinching or binding and they look absolutely elegant.. black on black. Very cool!

  6. Great Budget Shoes. I really like these shoes. I have been wearing them for months now. I will probably buy another set. I already had to replace the insert/sole of the shoes. The yoga foam or whatever they call it broke up after a months worth of walking. I normally walk 5-7 miles a day, and I have a corn on my foot, so I wasn’t surprised to find a hole forming after a month. I got some new inserts from target and been going fine since. The only thing I don’t like is the color. I bought the grey, and wish I went with something darker. The grey bottom and edge just make them look extra dirty and old.

  7. Heel slips out. I wanted to like these shoes, but in the end I just couldn’t. My heels slip up and partially out of the shoe and reminds me of wearing sandals. The “Walk Easy” shoes I’m trying to replace due to wear have a sort of collar with padding above the heel area that hold my feet in the shoe and these don’t have that. They look good but they just don’t have the structure that I’m looking for.

Out-of-the-box comfort and relief for retail work. I currently work in one of those big box home improvement warehouse stores and, while wearing Red Wing boots with toe protection makes sense, standing and walking 10+ miles a day on bare concrete really did a number on my feet and body (even with fancy insoles). I caved and bought these after reading some orthopedic webpages (I also needed to replace some warm-weather light grey loafers anyway) and after a couple of shifts the improvement was night and day. These are now my daily drivers at work and when walking on pavement. I’m not sure how well they work “off-road” when hiking and working in the dirt, but for anything involving indoor/outdoor pavement, they are perfect. The easy slip-on is neat too and, while I haven’t tried it yet, the machine washable feature looks promising.I’ve only had them for a month (walking 10+ miles a day) and they’re holding up perfectly. It is true that they’re thin and probably won’t hold up if you frequently scratch/scuff/snag them on stuff, but you really shouldn’t be doing that often anyways if you’re a careful worker/walker IMO. In any case, these are great shoes and will buy them again once they begin to wear out (possibly going for some other colors too).

Flawless. The hype is REAL. Just got these shoes and they are by FAR the most comfy shoes I’ve ever owned. Most other shoes I have to throw those memory foam inserts in that wear out and are a pain to replace constantly. Don’t need em with these!!! I’ll admit I was skeptical when I heard about these shoes but holy cow I’m in love. Interested to see how long they’ll hold up for but for now I’m thoroughly impressed. Exceptionally comfortable and even without laces you can walk run jump and climb in these. I feel like I could run on ice with these as grippy as the bottoms are. Killer shoes. Only wish I would have got a pair sooner. 10/10 so far

  10. My 4th Pair…’nough said. I found this shoe several years ago and it fits really well and is comfortable enough to cushion my feet in the hospital all day. I’ve looked for other manufacturers with a shoe that looks a little more like an Oxford, but I have not yet found one that sells in a narrow size. Size? I might try it. For now, this has been the best shoe I’ve had for several years, and I’ll keep buying until I find something that looks better. I don’t necessarily need anything that’s more comfortable. This is comfortable enough

  11. Easy sl,ip on shoe. Ordered these shoes for my husband. When he put them on, he did use a long shoe horn, but it was easy. Right away, he said how comfortable these shoes are. No need to break in – wore them a full day. Don’t know how they will hold up after washing and wearing over time, but right now, they’re great!

Great walkers – very comfortable and breathable. These are great sidewalk walkers or mall walk shoes. Lightweight but sturdy, and a nice cushioned spring to your walk. They seem able to tolerate freezing temperatures (20-30F) without problems. Easy to maintain, don’t pick up crud, and style works most for business casual uses.

  13. Excellent shoes, fantastic packaging. Aside from yet another Amazon delivery left on the fringes of the porch, where rain can hit it (and HAS, several times now) the product is excellent- great fit (and true Slip-Ons, unlike several previous “slip-ons” with openings so small, even a shoehorn couldn’t get my foot in the shoe. The Sketchers were very good, easy to get on.What caught my eye from the start was the packaging. I know that’s secondary to the product, but the previous shoes from other brands came in damaged boxes with the shoes carelessly placed. The Sketchers box and packaging inside were absolutely pristine- perfect condition, wrapped so nice. It was such a nice surprise compared to previous orders. And as said, the shoes fit great, feel great!. That perfect pristine packaging was clearly an indication of what was inside. It’s just too bad that the drivers can’t seem to realize that leaving a delivery on the front of the porch is going to get wet with rain coming down. You can’t push the box towards the front door one or two feet? It’s simple logic, common sense! Anyway, still an excellent shoe.

  14. Great fit. Got this for my husband for Christmas. He loves it. Very comfortable and great for his walking . Great price. Highly recommend!

  15. Comfort, style, workmanship. These are very comfortable, stylish and light weight. The workmanship is way above average and very durable. The soles wrap up higher than most and being waterproof and very, very skid resistant are the ideal shoe for walking on wet grass or pavement after a rain storm. Size 10.5 wide are perfectly fit to size. The slip on feature works really well! I’m very happy and will buy again.
