Better than expected. Recently purchased this item. Mostly we have have been using the 4 blade bowl for roasted peanut powder. This has been fantastic! The lid with seal on the blade bowl is great so that any powders can be stored in the bowl itself. We have not tested it with wet food products.Cons:1. The outer cap needed to power/pulse the grinder just sits so there are chances that you or someone in your family is going to pick up the entire system with the outer cap and end up dropping the system on the ground.2. Plastic crap fused with the stainless steel blades. It’s just a matter of time when the plastic is going to break due to fatigue failure.3. The power cable does not fully get wound in the bottom pocket of the blender. Expect a longer dangling cable when stored.Even with the cons, I still like the functional design and the performance has been great so far. Would I purchase this again? Currently this is a top contender for a future purchase. Only time will tell how this will perform with wet ingredients. I hope to provide an update in the future
The little grinder that can. This grinder has been a dream, quick to grind coffee, almost achieves a perfect powdered sugar when starting with large sugar crystals, and easy to clean! The noise isn’t loud at all either. Would highly recommend, especially given that it is inexpensive, making it an excellent value for the money!
Good value. I find it to be a good value. Works as expected. If you plan on buying a used one though – do not buy from seller “Lafraise”. Bought mine there ” used like new” but it was “used and nasty”. Had to take it apart and deep clean it.
Best small kitchen appliance. I purchased this over a year ago and was so pleased by the performance that I bought some more for my family. I cook Indian food often and this has been a perfect solution for grinding spices like garlic and ginger which are a staple for most Indian curries. It works really fast and clean up is a breeze
Beware Spice Grinder Bowl Issues. I ordered this grinder as an extra. First off, the quality of the bowl is nice. No sharp edges like the KitchenAid. Bowl fits securely into the base, unlike the KitchenAid. The bowl for grinding spices is not the same as the previous model I purchased 19 Aug 2022. The redesigned model does not have the black pad below the blade. On the previous bowl, one blade tip faced up and the other down. On the newer one, both tips face up. I contacted Secura and was eventually sent a replacement bowl. It was the exact, redesigned, same thing. I was contacted by Secura via email “Thank you for providing the pictures. We believe it is exactly the correct replacement grinder bowl. The grinder bowl was slightly redesigned as some customers reported that they would like the black plastic pad removed. The new design improves grinding efficiency and it is easier to clean the bowl. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance. Warm regards, Secura Customer Service TeamSpice G”. Slightly? How many is some? The bowl was not hard to clean in the first place; soak and just use a toothbrush. It is not more efficient. It took me three times as long or longer to grind as before and still had small clumps. Did Secura even test their own redesign? Obviously not. The grinder was highly rated for what it was designed to do, grind spices, and the original bowl does an amazing job of it. It no longer does that. I received the copycat Shardor today hoping to get the bowl with the black pad. I did not receive the bowl with the black pad. Shardor replaced theirs with the same useless one as Secura. Shardor is going back to Amazon. Secura/Shardor, Please bring back the original grinder bowl like the one I purchased in Aug 2022, or at least make it an available option such as your Replacement Parts Stainless Steel Removable Bowl Set. I do not recommend this “redesigned” grinder bowl. Thank you
Makes a mess, ISSUE CORRECTED. The media could not be loaded. Read below I have updated my review:I started using the grinder within an hour after it arrived. I had already dried some garlic. I used the four blade cup. It did a fantastic job of grinding the garlic into powder and small chunks exactly as I wanted. Now for the down side. It was a mess! As it grinds, garlic powder and small chunks come over the top of the cup and fill the area between the cover and cup. When you lift the cover all the stuff that came out of the cup falls everywhere on the counter. Some of the content gets under the grinding cup where there are holes inside the housing. If it gets into the motor I’m sure it won’t last long. I’m not a photographer but the pictures show it wasn’t over filled. The video shows the contents filling the area between the cover and cup. I would not recommend the product.Edit. It looks like I’m missing a part. The clear cup cover. It was not in the box. This is an update (1 July 2024). The supplier was VERY responsive. I received the missing lid within a few days. Once I had the lid it works great. I had another batched of dried garlic and it did a fantastic job of grinding the consistency I wanted. I recommend this grinder and supplier.
10/10 Recommend. Works Amazingly! The cup comes out to clean. It grinds to a fine powder like I wanted for grinding dehydrated garlic. The cap is snug and won’t come off while grinding. Easy operation by pushing cover down to activate grind and easy to clean.I bought this to replace the Kitchen-aide that I used once and gave away since it was trash.100% recommend this grinder and definitely recommend it over the Kitchen-aide. The quality of this grinder is way above the Kitchen-aide.
Work horse in my kitchen. This grinder works quite well. Has handled just about whatever I throw at it. Having both bowls is nice. It makes quick work of wet chimichuri as well as dry curry power. So why the 4 stars? Due to the bowl being wide and shallow instead of tall and narrow you have to grind more things to ensure everything gets ground up. A teaspoon of this or that does not always work without some shaking and jostling but even then some coriander or peppercorns miss. This is something of a minor complaint but it could matter to people who do not grind in batches and are looking for just enough for a recipe.Other than that, this is easy to use. Easy to keep clean. Gets used quite often. No major complaints. We have used it for months without issue.

Love this Grinder. I recently got the Secura Spice Grinder, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my kitchen! This grinder is powerful and easily grinds everything from whole peppercorns to dried herbs. The adjustable settings let me choose the coarseness I want, whether I’m prepping a quick dinner or making a special recipe. There are two jars, one for dry grinding and one for wet.I also appreciate how easy it is to clean—just a quick rinse, and it’s good to go! The design is sleek and compact, fitting perfectly on my countertop without taking up too much space
A Versatile Kitchen Essential. I bought this grinder primarily for grinding spices, which performs well in that arena.Pros:This grinder truly lives up to its name, handling both coffee beans and spices with ease. Its small size makes it perfect for countertop storage and even travel. The manual operation is straightforward, and the clear display makes it easy to monitor the grinding process. Cleaning is a breeze thanks to the removable bowls and blades that are dishwasher safe.Cons:While it grinds both coarse and fine, the lack of adjustable settings might be a drawback for coffee enthusiasts who prefer specific grind sizes. It’s not the quietest grinder on the market, so be prepared for some noise during operation. While stainless steel is durable, some users might prefer ceramic blades for a finer, more consistent grind.Overall:The Secura Electric Coffee Grinder and Spice Grinder is a solid choice for those looking for a versatile, easy-to-use, and portable option. Its compact size and dishwasher-safe components make it a convenient addition to any kitchen. However, the limited grind settings and noise level might be a deterrent for serious coffee aficionados.Would I recommend it?Yes, for casual coffee drinkers and spice enthusiasts who prioritize convenience and portability.
Best grinder I ever owned. I love this grinder. The wet and dry cups make this very versatile. I love the ease of cleaning out the cups. My old one was a hassle, this one is super easy to clean! I love the flexibility so much that I bought an additional wet and dry attachment and lid. I will probably pick up additional ones to give as chritmas gifts. This really is a fantastic grinder!!
GREAT customer service and product line. Products are well made. Double bowls are a great advantage and I can have a dedicated bowl for spices. This company cares about the service provided and this US company stands by their designs and product function .
Works well. I purchased this grinder for the purpose of grinding up dried herbs from my garden. I ground up rosemary, which is a very tough plant, sage and oregano. There are 2 cups – one for a coarse grind, one for finer grind. I tried both. I was able to grind up my herbs to fine powder (which is what I wanted)…but could have done a coarser grind with the other cup or less time. It was easy to use, easy to clean and takes up minimal space in my cupboard. Good value for the money.
Does what it is supposed too, pretty useful assistant. I bought it for two purposes, grinding small portions of chutney, and grind small portions of Indian species. It does both very well (chutney comes out pretty even and spices are grinded just fine, but not ultra fine which is ok). It is serving as a smart and quick assistant in our kitchen. We can now smell fresh spices. I think it won’t do heavy duty work, and and we have a separate machine for that and we never tried on it. We don’t dish wash it (just as a preference as blades can get blunt over time in dishwasher and blades on this one are not separate). We love the steel jar provided, it is quick and easy to clean. Small rinse is enough, though we seldom clean grinder (it is not needed for same set of spices). We have not tried coffee as we are not regular coffee drinkers.

Perfect small grinder for both dry and wet ingredients. Been using this for the past month on both wet and dry ingredients and it has been working well so far. Very low noise and quick. Tried grinding pepper in the dry jar and it worked perfectly within a couple minutes. I did notice that the base got hot by the time the pepper was finely ground. Used the wet jar for ginger, garlic and coconut and it did a very good job. Very useful item to have in your kitchen
It comes with 2 jaars, wet & dry. I bought to grind indian spices for curries, it’s good & useful, jars are little light weight & not like Indian mixi small steel jar which is little heavy, these looks like aluminum light weight jar, but ok to instant grinding purpose & handy. I recommend,Thanq
This is the grinder I’ve been looking for. We love this grinder! There is an inner lid for the 2 metal cups. Each cup has a different type of blade inside, and I appreciate having 2 options. The metal cups are dishwasher safe. I love that there is an outer lid/cover too, which is used to activate the grinder. Really keeps the hot pepper dust to a minimum in combination with the tight inner lid. I mostly grind spces, dehydrated garlic and peppers, and other dried vegetables. It is sharp, powerful enough, strong. This is the grinder I waited years to discover.
Powerful, Easy to Use, and Super Convenient. I’ve been using the Secura electric grinder for a few weeks, and I like it! It’s strong enough to grind coffee beans in just a few seconds. It also comes with an extra bowl for spices, which is a nice bonus. I’ve used it for things like peppercorns and flaxseeds, and it works great every time for a variety of things. The stainless steel bowls are easy to remove and clean, making things simple—no mess or fuss. It’s not too loud, and it doesn’t take up much space on my counter.
It’s “U” shape blade, not “S” shape. I would give this grinder 5 stars if they changed the blade from “U” Shape to the normal “S” shape. Most grinders use an “S” shape: One wing points up, one wing points down. The “U” shape has both up. The result: Some larger spice pieces left at the grinder’s bottom can not be reached by the blade, no matter how long you grind them.
Excellent grinder, easy to clean. Purchased in June 2023. The fact that the bowls are removable is such a difference maker. Usable for dry or moist spices. Grinds evenly. Note that I have a dedicated coffee grinder so I have only used this for spices.
Will make short work of any herbs or spice you got. This thing will grind anything. Less waste by tossing it all in the grinder. No more throwing out sticks and stems. It will plow right thru them. It will save your hands from old school grinders. This thing will turn 1oz of any material into powder in 10 seconds or less.
