  1. Buyer Beware! UPDATED May 26, 2021. Edited May 26, 2021:Updated Review: After having a new replacement handset (from Best Buy) Note 20 Ultra 128gb, Mystic Bronze for the last five months, I gotta say I love this phone! I’ve owned older gen Notes and now see all the improvements over the years. Too many cool things to say about this phone; I’m still learning new features, etc.! Also what I thought were scratches on the thin top and bottom of phone turned out to be protective plastic; meant to be discarded after purchase! Lol. Battery is fantastic! SD a amazing! Clear kickstand case is way to go for me. This will be your goto device for everything. Advise; learn the details to get the best performance. Although Macro photography could use some help on future Notes. Did I mention I love this phone?Nice price, but not as advertised. The handset couldn’t be used with Verizon in the northeastern USA. And the bottom and top edges where scratched. I’m assuming it was produced in the factory that way. Too bad I can’t get back all of the time I spent with this dud.

  3. Samsung does well. Samsung and Apple have been having this rivalry for who has the better phone for a while. Between the two devices the Samsung note 20 ultra has better features, better design and less lag at least when i was using it. One thing it lacks is i message. However, the phone is much more fun to use. Especially the s pen. Over the many years, the devices have improved. Although I love the note 20 ultra, the box was missing a very important accessory. This accessory was the akg headphones that were supposed to come in the box considering how expensive the phones are in the present. Missing this piece is really frustrating and samsung did not give me the headphones so now I have to purchase new ones. I also did not get the galaxy buds which would have been a great addition. Overall having experience with both the top 2 flagship, I prefer Samsung. The biometrics are flawed when turning the screen on and it won’t turn on so I have to push the button on the side. The bottom only had one speaker grill and that is annoying as well. The hole in the top is also a defect that needs to be erased. The best parts of the Samsung note 20 ultra is the customizable features to the screen images and the s pen. The camera looks super premium and has very good quality. The front camera is also much better than previous models for selfies. I hope this helps. It gets tough to get used too if you owned an i phone.

  5. It’s a great phone with flaws. This is my fourth Note with the last being the Note 8. The Note 20 Ultra 5g has a slightly better battery life and includes the 5g radios. The Note 20 Ultra also has a slightly better camera than the Note 8. Otherwise, the navigation speed despite all the hype is about the same. I use the Nova Prime Launcher, so my Note 8 and 20 look nearly identical. In fact, except for the Note 8’s notorious screen burn, I likely wouldn’t notice the difference when accidentally picking one up randomly over the other. The Note 20 Ultra is a great phone and my wife has the iPhine 12 Pro Max. There’s simply no comparison between the two, the Note 20 Ultra is simply the better phone in nearly all aspects (despite the paid report/reviews you read). If you’re in the iOS space, the iPhone 12 is snappy and has decent cameras. It also offers 5g, although I see no difference on Verizon’s version of 5g on the iPhone (my Note 20 Ultra is on T-Mobile).What I don’t like on the Note 20 Ultra are the buttons (now all on one side) and the fingerprint reader that has about a 30% success rate.Although I’ve had Samsung phones, I’m not a Samsung fan. Their bloatware is excessive and their constant sneakingly pushing you into Samsung’s account services that conflict with Google’s superior products are shameful. Samsung’s hardware is very good while the software and practices are unfortunate. I’ve only stuck with the Samsung line for one reason, the S-pen. I don’t use it often, but, when I do I like it. Now that Samsung calls this the end of the road for the Note line, my next phone won’t be a Samsung unit. Til then, I like this phone and mated with the right case makes it a nice daily driver.

  7. Lovely phone, exactly what I wished for BUT..😂. The media could not be loaded.  The phone is perfect, I love it a lot. But after 5 months the screen display turned off. I could hear it vibrate when turn off and hear activity on the phone but it would stay off a whole day. All I I to solve this is press vol up + turn off button and eventually it fixes the screen. This has happened twice already in less than a year. Also the “moisture detected ” seemed to malfunction, I tried drying it all ways and nothing worked, it stayed a whole day detecting moisture/dust then I decided to do a factory reset and it fixed itself.Edit 1: I contacted Amazon for help and was told to send it to repair, I got it to ubreakifix and they told me It was not a screen issue but more more of a hardware/ motherboard thing, they told me to send it to Samsung directly for them to fix or to come back to Amazon, I came back go Amazon and they got me a replacement 🥰. So far I’m really happy with their actions and way of solving this issue, the replacement arrived 6 days earlier than expected and it took 9 days to arrive . I’m really happy with this and I hope this issue does not repeat or I’m gonna be so heart broken 😭.Edit 2: this is about a year after the replacement was sent, the phone fell of my mattress (2ft long) and cracked on the front screen right corner, I was pretty disappointed because samsung was prideful in announcing this new Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on this $1k+ phone, I don’t know if they sent me a replacement that didn’t have the glass, but it was really shocking to see it cracking from such a small drop when I’ve seen videos of people dropping it down stairs and be intact. This made me pretty upset but it is what it is. Clearly the replacement had a weaker screen than what they spoke off when selling the phone.

Upgrade from S8+. I got my S8+ four years ago and I really liked. I had a Note 4 previously and I really missed the pen experience. I finally ordered this one and I forgot to check one thing – no headphone jack. My Beats Solo is Blue Tooth enabled so I’m okay. Only problem I had was that my device would not read my microSD card at first. Now it reads only, which is the same problem I had with the S8+ when I loaded my card. I will update it with a new card. The sound from the speakers is OK, not stereo quality but good. I got rid of some bloatware and added the apps I wanted. Overall, I like this cell phone especially for the pen. Only one gripe for which I deducted a star – battery life. Even after optimizing, the battery does not last like my S8+. Hopefully I will be able to train it to last longer.04/26/21 update: A feature new to me called WiFi Calling was turned on. This was eating up my battery life. I turned it off and my battery life is what I expected.
