Excelente producto, realmente crea unos rizos muy definidos. No es muy cómoda para dormir con ella, sin embargo no es imposible hacerlo. Aunque la diadema viene algo corta, puedo enrollar mi cabello en ella sin problema a pesar de tenerlo casi hasta la cintura. Pero si sería muy útil que hubiera una versión un poco más larga.
Beautiful curls, hard to use on silky hair. This has worked so well to give me lasting curls – if I can get it to stick long enough! My hair is very fine, silky, and straight, and half the time slips loose before I can get the second side set. I think a comb attached to the top will help me, or a claw clip – for the price I wish it came with a claw clip at least! I usually end up redoing it 2-3 times, but the curls I get are worth it. Better results than hot rollers or a curling iron, which always fall flat within the hour for me! My curls with robecurls last through events and for the entire day – that has never happened before!
Overall great. It actually worked better then I thought it would, cool!I wrapped my hair Friday night, only took 5ish minutes to do. It stayed in place for the most part overnight. Saturday late morning I took the band out and there were curls. (First photo should be after I woke up, 2nd is when I first took the band out)The only thing I would suggest to make it better is to include some sort of clip for the top of your head, as the band trys to move around when you are twisting your hair around it.
Great. Took me a while to figure out how to use it, but once I got it figured out I loved it.
Works. This was really easy to do and it works great. Not too expensive. The quality of it is decent for what it is but I doubt it lasts a long time.
Best curls EVER. Don’t hesitate to invest in one of these. I use mine all the time. I don’t sleep in it, because the wire wouldn’t be comfortable for me, but it only takes a couple of hours to get a great curl. Works best on clean hair. Just spray with a little water, do the wrapping, and wait for a few hours. Voilà! Much better than anything a curling iron can do. If you need curls for an early morning event, prepare your hair the day before, and then remove the device from your hair at bedtime. When you wake up, you can just shake out your curls and they’ll be almost as good. In hot weather, whether I want to curl for the evening or not, I wrap my hair up using this device, and it looks nice and keeps me cool by keeping my hair up off my neck. I love it!
O M G. WOW!!!! My hair styling has changed forever!Pics are the result after my FIRST attempt. I actually gasped in shock when I saw how well it worked!I was not expecting miracles with this product but the reviews convinced me to buy it and I am sososo happy with my purchase. Maybe a bit dramatic, but for me it’s really improved my hair styling!! I have long hair and depression, so no energy or care to spend more than 20 mins styling my hair. It can take me 40+ mins brushing, sectioning, re-brushing, curling with hot iron, pinning up curls, etc. all for my curls to just fall out by the end of the day and leave me with barely a wave. 98% of the time, I have NO energy to do all that and would rather use that time to sleep in more. As a result, I would only curl my hair about 3 times a year and just leave my hair natural most of the time which is just barely a wave, sometimes with random curly pieces.NOW, it only takes me about 15 mins to wrap my hair around this headband before sleeping. I’ve only used this product 4 times so I’m still practicing my technique and I’m sure I’ll get quicker/better. Currently, I start with dry hair (after washing, applying oil, leave-in, and multi-use hair spray) and mist it with diluted setting lotion, then wrap my hair like the tutorial vid and wrap the ‘tails’ around and secure them with alligator clips (my hair reaches the end of the headband and is too difficult to twist them together like the vid)In the morning, I take off the headband and flip my hair upside down, tousle it a bit, do a light misting of hair spray, finger brush to prevent weird hard pieces from the hairspray, and flip my hair back to normal. Then I use a lightweight oil to help with frizz (still working on fighting the frizz, a silk pillowcase helps). Sometimes I use a 3/4 inch curling iron to fix up some of the ends if they are kinked, but usually it’s not necessary.I didn’t even use any hairspray the last time and my curls still held up perfectly fine! Since these are not heat created curls, they do not fall out even with brushing. Instead, I get nice soft curls. I’ve gone 3 days without washing, and the curls are still there looking gorgeous. For reference, I sleep with my hair in a loose bun secured with only a big satin scrunchy, brushing out my hair before and after. In the morning, I use lightweight hair oil after brushing.This is an unnecessarily long review but I am just so in love with this product!! I’ve finally found a quick and easy way to get cute, curly hair. My confidence has greatly improved, something I really struggle with. Can’t recommend this enough!!
Literally, it works. Giving 4 stars because 1) the top part moves around (near my head crown) since there is nothing to hold on to. I’ve wrapped my bangs to hold in place & have regretted the curl in the morning (too much). 2) there are ZERO instructions. Who wants a one-on-one with them to use the product?! Give me INSTRUCTIONS or a video with examples! I had to Google how to use this. Not cool.I’m still getting used to the headband and how exactly to wrap. Some days one side is tighter curled than the other but I have ALL-DAY curls, in fact into the next day (but I restyle it daily!). I think I have used this every day for 6 days straight.Tip I have experienced: do not use on fairly/very wet hair. Made that mistake. The next morning my hair was the same as if I air dry. Damp or dry hair works best and spritz with water once you have the headband in place & wrapped up. This gets the curls to form. I have a mist spritzer which works great. Get one!Sleeping: because everyone wants to know that!! I am a back & left-side sleeper. It was comfortable enough to sleep on unlike the similar concept foam piece (that was AWFUL!). Is it the same as NOT having it in your hair?! No, but it is comfortable enough to use especially a side-sleeper. I was nervous on this but pleasantly surprised.Great quality. Excited to continue to use. I bought black but honestly wish I bought a color I can easily see; some days I am very tired when I am taking out or putting in. Then when I need it again, I am searching for the pieces! I would NOT wear headband in public, even not-wrapped – that’s advertised but not sure on that. It is also advertised to put in when getting ready in the morning but you need 5 hours minimum for the curls to form so not sure what 30 minutes would do.First time I used on my medium length hair I ran out of headband space so I didn’t think it would work on longer hair. I have made closer wrapped sections & realized it would work for longer hair too.Price was more than I wanted to spend BUT if you’re like me, it is definitely worth not frying my hair and those curls would be limp by end of day!! Would 100% buy again.Hoping they come out with another product to make curls in layers (butterfly haircut).
UPDATE… Destiny here. UPDATED REVIEW….After purchasing two of these and using daily (one more often than the other), I still like this product, but want to describe a few ‘bugs’ that caused me to lower my rating. First, be aware that the scrunchies are the first to Go. They lose their elasticity fairly quickly and the wrapping gets harder. Of course, they can surely be replaced, even in satin, but likely not matching. The big issue is that the product’s stuffing is not battened by stitching except at the very ends/tip of the curler. Over time, the stuffing tends to bunch at one end, and it is impossible to reposition. I mean, you can try, but it really doesn’t work. This leaves a “fat end” on one side, so your curls will be affected on that side, i.e., the fat side straighter; thin side curlier. You must from time to time pull and straighten the curl rod. But nevertheless, it gets shorter and less functional. The one I’ve used more often can no longer be twisted back and the two ends joined at the back of the head. It’s more Pippi Longstocking now, which also somewhat affects the curl and body results. This product, while fairly awesome, needs some serious tweaks to last and be cost effective. I am disappointed, but continue to use. I’d love an *improved* version!This product seems to have been made with my hair in mind. It has been 100% amazing for my hair style and type and at 24$ has made all my expensive hair devices obsolete. I actually have my hair in it for about 3 hours in the morning. I don’t sleep in it! I decided this might work for me because previously after washing and styling, the rest of the week, I have been kind of loosely twirling my hair and clamping sections with hair clips while I go about my morning, workout, bath, put on makeup, etc. Then, comb it out and use some serum and light oil for texture. It occurred to me that this little device might provide an enhanced version of that technique, and I was more than correct. I roll it up with the Robe Curls and proceed the same way, however, when I do the styling my hair is beautifully waved, smooth, shiny, and full of body! Incredible body! I love this thing!All this said, people’s hair and experiences can be very different, I know. My hair is slightly past shoulders, fine, and has some natural curl that wants to be a tight wave, not curl, that can get frizzy. I like a longer, looser wave than I can get naturally. This Robe Curls does that and somehow also infuses my hair with body, swing, and shiny smoothness. It might not work like this for everyone. For me, it has been miraculous!
Couldn’t Believe My Eyes. I had very low expectations for this item, but was really searching for a way to add some curls to my fine, straight hair without using heat or taking hours out of my day struggling with getting the perfect flat iron curls, all going in the same direction. On the days that I got my flat iron curls looking halfway decent, they would fall flat within about 3-4 hours. I figured for $20 and the few minutes spent installing the satin wrap thingy with the wire inside, then going to sleep, I didn’t have much to lose. I read a few reviews and some instructions on some other similar devices and took it from there. Could not believe how easy it was. The one thing that I added that I feel really helped was a claw clip in the center of the satin wrap clipped right on top of my head. It allowed me to be able to wrap my hair around the device without having to hold the whole thing in place. I used this by just sectioning off my hair in 2 sections (right & left) and I also did it by sectioning into 4 (2 on each side). Doing the 4 sections got me more curls and with the curl part starting higher up on my hair. Just sectioning into 2, it was still very nice but the curls were more isolated to the lower parts of my hair. After sleeping in my Curl Robe (very comfortable, did not disrupt my sleep at all), and took it out in the morning, I was flabbergasted at the beautiful curls that remained!!! Even when I didn’t do a light mist of hair spray, the curls still lasted all day (summer in South Florida, humidity much)??I am extremely happy with my Curl Robe and would recommend to anyone whose hair is at least shoulder length or longer. Cannot speak to how well it would work on anything shorter. You really don’t have much to lose and beautiful, healthy looking curls to gain. Give it a try!!
Not for baby fine hair. This would be a great product if you have thick hair, unfortunately I do not. I have hair down to my waist, but it is very baby fine and super soft. I got maybe 2 inches of curl as most of my hair loosed on its own as I slept and the two inches was a bit frizzy. The satin covering is too soft to hold my hair. I’m giving this product 4 stars only cause it’s not the products fault it didn’t work for me.
Very impressed. I have tried alot of different overnight curl tools since I ever saw this trend online. I first tried the kitsch overnight curls but it refused to stay on my head and eventually I threw it out. Next, I tried some knock off one from Amazon but suffered the same issue so I went to velvet robe curl that tied over the top of my head, which worked pretty well. The velvet one is a bit of a hassle to use due to the length (my hair isn’t super long to use the whole length) where I had to tie it several times to get it out of my way. I always seen this robe curl being recommended and was curious if the wire would make a difference in keeping it in place. Boy, it really does – usually my fine, straight, rather smooth hair falls out of the satin curlers, this one, while it isn’t super secure, stays in place all night and I am a restless sleeper. It is also the perfect length for my hair, so I don’t have excess product everywhere.Definitely a great purchase in my opinion!
Works. I’ve used the product once, I didn’t put much effort into it. I did it quickly and kind of sloppy without watching the video or looking at directions. I slept with it on overnight with no cap over it. Look at the curls and shine that I got as a result!! I’m looking forward to using it more and seeing how well of a hairstyle I can get from it. These curls would usually take me an hour to get with using an iron.
Cute hair, little effort. Lightly misted hair with water before wrapping tightly. Mostly comfortable to sleep in. Did use a hair clip to hold top in place while wrapping. Overall, very happy with results. Have tried a cheaper brand (and the stockings hack), but definitely pleased with this product!
Worth it. I tried a cheaper version first, could not get it to work, and then ordered this. I am very happy with the results and it was so easy to use! I wish it was cheaper but it was worth the difference I paid.
