Pros:Shovel head is slightly over 8″ long, the exact depth for microbes to work their magic.Foot pads work well and are greatly appreciated.Bolt that holds the shovel tight is stout and holds fast.3 position lockable head.Amazing 90° trench digging tool.Compact.Not too heavy.When sharpened it cuts through dirt well.Carrying case holds 2 bottles of water when not full of shovel.Cons:pick bent 1st rock it struck. Remove the pick, install washers to take up the space left by removing the pick and retighten the bolt.Square washer between D handle and shaft has sharp edges and corners, it will cut your hand if held wrong. Tighten the D handle bolt while you have the tools out.Edge and saw are dull, file work will bring them up to snuff.Bolt that holds the shovel tight can work loose under prolonged heavy use.DO NOT USE THIS SHOVEL AS A HATCHET, it’s for digging.

Great in Small Places. Home improvement!The back porch is sinking. It was originally a deck but we decided to put a roof on it and close it in so we can use it for a gym. The additions of roof, walls, solid flooring, and windows along with gym weights stacked on one end caused the floor to start sinking. Adding support requires some digging. This tool is great for getting under the floor and playing in the dirt! A normal size shovel simply won’t work!
Great American Product – Made in China. The product is very well made and fits into my RV perfectly, ready for an unexpected need.The company heavily advertises that they are an American Family Business and has labeled the company as Rhino USA. I bought this particular product as I thought it was American made.It is not made in the USA. I was disappointed to see the “Made in China” on the box.
Excellent Shovel! Used with Neso Tent. Love this shovel! Light weight, portable! Excellent craftsmanship!We used it to set up a Neso Tent we have been having trouble with. We could never make efficient enough holes in the sand or fill the bags properly. The Neso was always falling.This little shovel did the job in record time! I’m talking minutes for all four holes!!! Our Neso was sturdy as ever! Never once looked like it would fall all week, even with big winds!This shovel did its job well! Highly recommend! Ergonomically correct. Feels great in your hands!
Mil Grade Folding shovel. Issued this in all phase of Army mil training ,basic, AIT, (not jump school), 82nd Airborne, 5thSFG, even as a pilot with the 2nd/10th Air Cav. Nearly a copy except for hoe-like pick add-on. Mil issue had pointed front and edge was sharper…much.Except for the edge and pointed tip this is a quality copy A grinder to the smooth edge as a sharpened blade grade and a pointed tip will resolve the shortcomings and upgrade this shovel to weapons grade. Overall, t’s a good buy.

Small, Powerful, Useful. This small but heavy duty, what we used to call, an Army Shovel, came in very handy and much needed to dig the ground underneath my mobile home. I was getting sewer stoppages for a long time and the quotes to fix my sewer pipe under there was astronomical. With my new, handi-dandi army shovel, I was able to dig it up, under there, and do the repair myself, for a FRACTION of the price. No other shovel I had could do the job. Even cutting the handle down short couldn’t get it. With the army shovel you can change the angle of the shovel in close quarters. And it has a small pick (ground-scratcher) as well, making it easier to break up the hard ground for easier dirt removal.I highly recommend this JEWEL for jobs such as mine, and would also be very handy to have available on camping trips and such. And the price is reasonable!

Foldable light use camp shovel. It’s fine as a light use camp shovel. It folds and unfolds okay. I haven’t used it for anything other than digging up difficult to remove tent stakes or covering and separating campfire coals and light digging at campsite. I agree with the customers who are disappointed that it’s not made in the USA and think the advertising is deceiving, but I already knew that before I bought it because I actually read the reviews beforehand. It would probably cost at least twice the Amazon price to be made in the USA these inflated days so I understand why it’s not. I purchased it in hopes that it would last for my intended use and because the company appears to care enough to donate to reputable charities. I’m not sure how much of the purchase goes to charity, but that’s okay since I was purchasing a product, not donating to the charities. So far I’m satisfied with the quality of the product and will update if that changes.
Dig this. This is a great emergency shovel to have in both your bug out bag 🎒 and the trunk of your car 🚗. This shovel also has a few other hidden tools inside the handles that can come in handy 😉 and it comes apart at the handles for compact storage. Seems to be just the right size to handle anything from mud and dirt to snow as well as cutting and sawing. This is a great survival multi tool. Thanks Rhino USA. I love it. Tony H.
Solid quality. Wow! Really nice well versed camping/survival tool. Sharp edges, sturdy extension pcs. The cool hidden gadgets is an extra OO7 feature haha. Definitely worth the price. This for sure is everything and more than I expected.
WELL BUILT!! Compact!! Wow. I’m not going to lie, the size of the box was like my iPad, got worried. Lol. Then I opened it up nice storage pack, then the dual shovel with pick. As soon as I put it together, I knew this was a high end shovel that’s built tough. Can’t wait to us it. Very very impressed.

It does not flex or bend when assembled, nor does it unscrew itself once tightened. I keep it in my wife’s vehicle for the winter months because it collapses down much better than competing collapsible snow shovels. Honestly, I prefer this to the one I bought for my vehicle because it is more versatile. You can also take it with you or attach it to a bag quite easily. Overall happy with this purchase, and it would make a great gift.

Make gold digging great. I love to go gold prospecting in remote areas so I needed a lightweight foldable shovel.I wanted something durable and this rhino shovel is very tough. It’s also lightweight, fits easily in my backpack and it’s held up now through an entire season with no troubles at all.In particular the little spade tool for cleaning crevices. Priced right and American made.Love it!!!
