Happy with it, but see if the rear cam quality fits your needs first :). All the other reviews that I read about this dashcam were pretty much spot on.The front facing cam is great. There’s some very minor artifacting in the video but the quality at 1080p is quite good and the camera adjusts to changing light conditions well. The rear facing cam is pretty much the worst quality you could get away with to still be useful. It doesn’t adjust to the current light conditions at all as far as I can tell, and I think this contributes the most to the poor quality. The video tends to look like cel-shaded CGI, and despite what I’ve seen some people claim I can’t make out license plates; however, it’ll still give a general idea of what happened in a collision so it works well enough for me. I just wish it wasn’t SO much worse than the front cam; the difference in quality is shocking the first time you see it.The cigarette lighter power adapter for this cam puts out some interference for FM radio which may matter to you, but I used Dash Camera Vehicle Hard Wire Kit – Mini USB Compatible with G1w / G1w-C / G1WH / GT680W / Mini 0801 / Mobius Action Spy Tec Camera and More | Car DVR Camera Recorder Dashboard Dashcam | Black Box Video Recorder | with a fuse tap from Advance Auto to hardwire the cam into my fuse panel anyway.I’m using SanDisk Extreme 64GB MicroSDXC UHS-1 Card with Adapter (SDSQXNE-064G-GN6MA) for storage and I get something like 8 hours of 1080p front + rear footage with 3 minute looping enabled. The mic on the front camera is decent and the audio is recorded into both the front and rear camera video files. The controls and interface are also quite decent and easy to navigate. You can lock the currently recording segment (if you have loop recording on) with one press of the OK button.Overall I’m happy with it. I knew what I was getting since I researched before hand and it fits my needs, but if Rexing ever comes out with a newer model that upgrades the rear cam I’ll be upgrading immediately :).Disclosure: Rexing has offered to send me a replacement adhesive mount for the front cam in return for an honest review of this product.Edit (2016-06-24): I said I get around 16 hours of footage on a 64GB card but it’s actually 7.25+. Also, some of the 3 minute segments start with about 20 seconds of glitched video; it’s not that bad but seeing squares in the video jump back and forth through time while it starts the new segment is a bit strange.
So glad I got the rear cam. This is a great dash cam. I drive over 800 miles a week to travel for work, sometimes anywhere from 5 – 11 hours a day. It’s currently hitting around 100+ degrees multiple days throughout the week. So this dash cam has been put through its paces. Not one instance of the devices overheating or the adhesive mounts falling off or pealing. I wish the rear dash mount was like the front one, where I could get a new adhesive mount for it if I got a new car (or just needed to change cars), though.Initially I was wary of getting the rear dash cam, as some users have posted that it’s garbage quality or doesn’t work. The video cord is run through an audio jack cable, like you’d use for your headphones, so honestly it’s pretty good quality for using such a medium. For me, it’s worked great and I absolutely love having the rear cam. It’s very much worth and I’m glad I opted to get it.Quality for the main dash cam for both night and day is very, very, crisp. It’s easy to mount, and dismount, the device. Do leave an inch of room so that you can wedge the device out. It hardly takes any force at all, so no worries about it being a struggle to remove it when needed. How do you view video from your computer? Well, I’ve read that some users have plugged in the cable via USB to their computer, selected “Mass Storage” and were able to view the video files there, but I had no such luck (tried both Mac and Windows). I eventually just ordered one of these (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009D79VH4) and then used the software from Rexing’s site (here: http://www.rexingusa.com/?page_id=77) to view the video playback. I’ll add screenshots and video playback when I have some more spare time. Here are the issues I’ve had, and how all of them were easily resolved: 1) The main dash cam got stuck on a constant reboot, rebooting every 3 seconds. 2) The rear dash cam video feed went bad, giving it a grayed and broken image, like a VHS with bad tracking. 3) At one point during a 5 hour drive, the audio recording (or perhaps just playback) got stuck over the same 3-5 second loop. These problems were resolved by (in corresponding order): 1) I was using the wrong charger than the one provided. When I plugged in the one provided, the dash cam no longer had the reboot issue. This is probably because the other charger I was using provided too low an amperage. 2) Either reboot the device, or just unplug and replug in the cable. This has only happened to me twice. 3) This only occurred once, and I suspect it had something to do with the bad charger that I was using.Additional points:So, this could be coincidental, but ever since I put up the rear dash cam, I’ve never been tailgated. Cars have flown up behind me right on my tail, but then suddenly backed off giving me proper space. Again, I have no proof that their seeing the dash cam in the window is the reason, but it was certainly noticeable that after all the driving I’ve done, there is now a drought of any tailgaters.Driving is a lot more relaxing now. If you’re like the many who get angry watching other drivers do stupid and dangerous things, your blood pressure may go down like mine did, now that these things are being recording in front of (and behind) you, and that any dumb actions that may lead to an accident will have evidence to the fact. While unplugging the rear dash cam cord, the display suddenly showed me the backup cam lines that you see on other cars. I can’t figure out how to get those to display when I’m in reverse. I’ll revisit the instruction booklet again just to be sure I didn’t miss something (which is likely the case).Overall, I’m definitely happy with my purchase!

Installed this Rexing V1P about 3 weeks ago.The mall size and low profile of the front camera was a big draw right from seeing it in pictures. I was able to attach it high up on the windshield at the level of the rear few mirror and can hardly be seen. Much less conspicuous than a little box “dangling” from a camera holder in the middle of the windshield.Quality of the front camera is amazing. With an 170 deg angle it has great peripheral vision. Night driving recording is clear and crisp.Rear camera records in black and white and quality is not overwhelming. But it does the job.If it now stays reliable for a long time, it’ll deserve 5+ stars. We’ll see.
Me ha encantado desde el primer momento, sólo tiene dos reseñas negativas y son que la app sólo está en inglés y que es muy complicado querer compartir un vídeo desde el móvil.
Not worth it. [Update #2 / Dec 2022] Rexel saw my review (here for the camera or Play for the app) and sent a new camera for me to try – that is great customer service and I did appreciate it. I have dutifully uninstalled the old camera and installed the new and against all expectations it now works even worse than before in terms of connecting the app and downloading videos. When I connect the fully updated app to the new camera it shows that I have no videos or photos at all, whereas when I insert the microsd card into my laptop all of the videos and photos are there. I completely baffled why Rexel would send me a brand new camera when it works even worse than before, but here I am, unable to raise my rating due to the awful app. The video quality of the new camera is equivalent to the previous and quite satisfactory.[Update] The lack of usability of the app basically renders this product a no-go. Doing the research now that I should have done pre-purchase, the issue with not being able to access videos through wifi has been around for years and left unaddressed by Rexing. I tried to work through their customer service who only indicated to try a 3rd party app(!) with even worse reviews(!!), or wait for a software update which would have already come in the last several years if it was coming at all. Such an issue should be a fairly straightforward fix. Can’t recommend this camera at all, spend a little more and get a reliable brand. After subscribing to r/IdiotsInCars, I realized that a dash cam was a sine qua non for driving anywhere and having even modestly incontrovertible evidence in the event of an incident. Coming out of the gym and finding someone talking on their phone while their kid jumped up and down on my bumper sealed the deal and I opted for the V1P + optional Intelligent Hardwire Kit for:1) Front and rear facing cameras for close to optimal coverage,2) parking monitor with the intelligent hardwire kit, and3) wifi connection with free app.-= Installation =-Installation went relatively smoothly. If you purchase the separate intelligent hardwire kit for the parking monitor then you won’t need the V1P cables. I chose my mounting points around the rear view mirror and was able to run the cabling through the headliner and a-pillar down to the fuse panel in the footwell. One hiccup is that the fuse taps on the intelligent hardwire kit ATO/regular automotive fuses while my vehicle uses the smaller ATR fuses. I had to go buy ATR fuse taps and splice them on to the hardwire kit. The rear camera was similarly easy with the main challenge being to snake the cable through the headliner to the front camera without interfering with the side curtain airbags. With everything installed, the camera worked fine, turning on/off with my ignition, and automatically turning on and recording for 30 seconds if I bumped the vehicle.-= Operation =-For the most part, with a proper installation, you start your vehicle and drive while the camera records in 1/2/3 minute increments depending on what you select. The camera screen shows the rear camera view super imposed in the top left corner of the front camera view, but the clips are recorded separately. The screen is practically impossible to see or read (menu items, for instance) on a sunny day. Also, in the week that I’ve been using the camera, I’ve had to unplug it twice to reset it when it didn’t power up properly. The menu system is comprehensive, but not at all user-friendly or intuitive. It takes a lot of wandering around and pushing buttons to find things and it’s easy to get the camera in a mode such as photos without a clear way of how to get it back to normal without cycling power.-= Video Quality =-In short, daytime videos are pretty good and nighttime videos are not. At a minimum, you can tell what’s going on at night, but it’s not crisp video. The audio, if you have it enabled, is pretty good.Trying to watch videos on the camera itself is an exercise in futility and menu torture. For all practical purposes, you need to transfer it to your phone or laptop. For laptop, you remove the SD card and put it in your laptop and play on a media player. I found that my version of Windows Media Player (controlled by my organization) did not have the codecs to play the video, and would only play the audio. VLC Media Player played the videos w/audio just fine. For phone…-= Phone App =-The phone app is absolute garbage. After a rather lengthy sequence to activate wifi on the camera through the byzantine menu system you can connect with your phone, then activate the Rexing app and pair with the camera. At that point, it’s more about what you can’t do than what you can:1) Trying to access videos causes the app to crash.2) The settings menu on the phone is only a subset of the camera settings menu – why wouldn’t you just mirror the entire camera menu since it’s so much easier to use on a phone? In short, the app is pretty much useless and I wouldn’t recommend purchasing a Rexing camera if using the app is driver for you.TL;DR: very average webcam with functional front and rear cameras that are relatively straightforward to install. Just acceptable video quality with a useless phone app. If you’re in an accident or situation where you need video footage from your vehicle, it will do the job. I have not owned other webcams, but surely there are better available.

2nd Rexing unit, quite satisfied. This is my 4th dashcam and my 2nd Rexing unit. I bought it because of my positive experience with my previous Rexing camera, plus they had a good sale on AMZ prime days.Setting it up was a bit challenging and took a bit of trial and error as the manual was not much help. It is good that there are quite a few reviews of Rexing cameras on the internet which made up for the rather inadequate user manual. You have to be resourceful enough to find your answers elsewhere. I also used a Rexing wiring kit which took a little more time connecting it to the proper taps on the vehicle’s fuse block (BTW I did a separate review on that kit).Once set up, the installation will largely depend on the installer’s technical ability, the type of car you are installing it to and how neat a job you want it to look. Good that there are quite a few videos you can search for help. Installing the front camera is quite straightforward but the rear camera can be challenging and sometimes frustrating. To start with, I used a generic class 10 MicroSD (A1 V10 u1) card that I had on hand. Playback with this card gave me some occasional stuttering but overall acceptable. I will have to confirm this after a few weeks and see if I need to invest in one of their recommended SD cards listed. Video quality is very good, as expected. I wished they would include (or at lease offer and option for) a polarized filter for the lenses to reduce/eliminate the glare particularly on bright sunny days.I got the unit to connect to my phone via the phone app/WiFi feature, but found it a bit cumbersome when trying to view a video, so I simply returned to my old process of pulling the SD card from the camera to review my videos (since I very seldom do so anyway). I also was not interested in any of the parked recording features so I simply turned those off (plus wired it accordingly).Interesting to note that a week after I installed it, when playing back recorded videos I noticed a consistent blurry spot right in the center just below the centerline (roughly where the license plate of the car in front of me). I called Rexing’s customer service and got a quick response. However, before I sent them the copy of the videos I decided to investigate it further and found that relocating the camera (approx 2-3 inches away from the previous spot) completely eliminated this problem. Good to know that they’re there ready to help if needed.Overall I would recommend this unit. My older Rexing unit has been running great for the past 3 years. Hopefully this one last as long or longer.__________________________________UPDATE: I decided to purchase the recommended Kingston Canvas Go Plus Micro SD card to see if the video stuttering I experienced will be improved. It appears video recording with this SD card is BETTER but not totally smooth and stutter free. I tried to see if a lower resolution setting for the front camera would make the video performance smoother but it appears every time I set it to a lower resolution setting, the unit resets it to the highest resolution. I will look into this further to see if I am not properly setting the resolution.

This dash cam is very easy to set up and use. Good camera quality, comes with front and rear view camera. Product shipped quite fast. Always great to have a dash cam for proof incase in an accident. Best purchase ever. The only thing was sucks is you need to purchase a compatible micro SD card.
Purchased August 2021 had it hardwired and installed. February 2023 had my truck at a hotel parking garage while away. Someone smashed passenger side door and tried to steal my truck. The dash cam recorded a 4 second video January 30th and nothing after that until I remote started my truck. The breaking of the window disabled my truck and battery so the dash cam didn’t work. I thought there was some kind of battery backup with the camera but apparently there isn’t. So nothing was recorded.
Good mid-range dash cam. After some research, I picked this camera to go in my camper van. I wanted a camera with 4k front, and the ability to record rear simultaneously. This unit was reasonably compact and could do both. I got the extender kit since the van has a long cable run to the back, and the optional hard-wire kit to wire it directly into the fuse box. I put a walkthrough video of the installation up on youtube, just search for rangeline dashcam install and you should find it. Installation is pretty easy and they include lots of tools to help with the process. Some things to be aware of with this camera: When recording front and rear, it only records at 24p, not 30p. The 4k video is pretty highly compressed, and with the wide angle lens don’t count on a lot of detail in the recorded video. I had a hawk fly 20 feet in front of my car, and it was barely recognizable in the video. License plates aren’t readable unless the car is right in front of you. The phone app is used to monitor video and change settings, but uses Wi-Fi, so if your car is doing Wireless Android Auto, you can’t do both at the same time. If you’re using the monitor feature, the G-sensor triggers any time you open/close the door, so it saves pictures of you getting in and out a lot.Overall this has been a good mid-range model in terms of price and features.

Pretty good and easy to use. Very easy to set up, but the power cables are thick. Depending on your vehicle it may be hard to hide them in the trim. The small clips are also too weak to actually organize the cables.Good performance and great video quality, all things considered. I’d buy another.
Love it. I have a Rexing Dash Cam, front & rear, but wanted night vision so I bought this. It works great just like the previous one. Since I already had one that was hardwired, I didn’t not need to do that. It was just a matter of unplugging the old one in the front and the rear and plugging in the new ones. I did have to get the old rear one off of the rear window, but that was not a big deal. I recommend a dash cam, and the Rexing ones are great.

We’ll see.
Good quality and prices and arrived on time i highly recommended to me friend!
Qualità delle immagini notturne superiore. Istallazione semplice.
Me ha encantado desde el primer momento, sólo tiene dos reseñas negativas y son que la app sólo está en inglés y que es muy complicado querer compartir un vídeo desde el móvil.
I recently purchased the Rexing V1 pro and found it really easy to install. The camera and picture quality are excellent. I would highly recommend.

Great camera. these are easy to install and give peace of mind. I install them for friends and family who purchase them.
