Directions | Feeding for Adult Maintenance It is important that you feed Pro Plan to your adult cat (l")free choice(r") throughout the day, rather than as just a single feeding only at mealtime. Food intake required to maintain ideal body condition will vary, depending on age, activity and environment. Watch your cat(')s weight and adjust food amounts accordingly. If you have a kitten, or a pregnant or nursing cat, you should continue feeding Pro Plan Kitten Chicken & Rice Formula. Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily. For your pet(')s health, see your veterinarian regularly. Making the Switch to Pro Plan Although you(')ll be anxious to see the difference Pro Plan can make in your cat, please allow 7(en)10 days to ease the transition from your cat(')s current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more Pro Plan until you(')re feeding Pro Plan exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets. Store in a cool, dry place.|Animal feeding tests using AAFCO procedures substantiate that Pro Plan Focus Adult Sensitive Skin & Stomach Lamb & Rice Formula provides complete and balanced nutrition for maintenance of adult cats. |

Great food for cats with vomiting and IBD issues – but my cats only like the lamb and rice formula. What I like:I have a cat with chronic pancreatitis and inflammatory bowel disease evidenced by nausea and vomiting. He has failed ALL treatment other than injected steroids which we did not like (he developed LVH as a result). – I can tell you this is the FIRST food I have ever come across that actually stopped his nausea (and the occasional diarrhea). He is currently on NO meds except we have Cerenia on hand, and I attribute it to this food.Problems: Cats have to actually like the food which is always an issue with our three cats. They liked the lamb and rice formula (dry food). I have tried both the turkey and the tuna thinking they would like those flavors but they won’t touch these. I have now wasted the $ on these two flavors; should have stuck with the lamb and rice.Other problem: Cat with the IBD and pancreatitis has gained a lot of weight as dry food has a lot of carbs. Additionally, our diabetic cat’s blood glucose issues have gotten out of control, possibly due to the carbs. So – this is a positive review with qualifications! Just keep in mind that your cat(s) may like one flavor but not the others AND dry food is high in carbs which can cause weight gain and blood glucose control issues in diabetic cats. IF your only concern is vomiting and/or diarrhea, then this food is definitely a game-changer.

My cats favorite dry food. My cats are spoiled junk food devourer and no matter how much I try “tough love”, they beat me in this game. The youngest cat is now 8 years old and has some food sensitivities. The others (older) have issues too and I’ve been trying to feed them healthy, nutritious food but until I found Purina ProPlan lamb & rice I wasted a lot of money on expensive foods they refused to eat.The other day my trouble maker Fritz stared at me until I paid attention to him. In no uncertain terms did he make it clear to me that the food dispenser with the lamb & rice kibble was empty, which was totally unacceptable! Dang, those cats trained me well, lol! By the time I got back with the bag, 4 cats were waiting on me to get their due!Since I’ve been feeding this food I noticed glossier fur, less stinky poop, less soft stools, less puking. I appreciate the bite-sized kibble without unnecessary coloring very much.Purina also makes the same kibble from turkey & oats.Yes, it’s fairly expensive but if I take my cats health in consideration, it’s money well spent.I highly recommend this great product to all my friends!Update 05/18/23Before my monthly subscription was due to arrive, the Lamb & Rice was devoured! Literally not a crumb left! Since it’s still 13 days for the shipment to arrive, I had to order a new bag because even my mildest mannered cat Teddy kept walking by the dispenser giving me sad eyes & meows! They have 4 dry food dispensers available with a variety of kibble at all times but the PURINA Sensitive Skin lamb & rice is their favorite. Usually they get tired of the same food with the exception of this brand/flavor.
We got our kitty back. Our 12 year old Gray Tabby began having diarrhea over a year ago and we immediately thought it was going to be the big “C” and we were going to watch her decline. 3 visits to the Vets and they said she has some kind of digestive issues and prescribed special prescription cat food. We tried that but it had no effect so we decided to buy her chicken and boiled it and fed it to her. She improved some but still had diarrhea. We tried different foods, some powder additives, etc. and nothing seemed to work. This had been going on for over a year! We finally tried this dry cat food (along with the Costco Kirkland Brand wet food) and she is back to her (very bad) old kitty self!!! No diarrhea for the past month!!!! Just wish we had known about this food a year ago! It’s cheaper than the Rx food. If your kitty has digestive issues, try this food ASAP. *We were worried that she wouldn’t like the food but she loves it!
My Finicky Kitty Loves this Food. One of our six cats has always been a notoriously picky eater. We’ve also had to give him Pepcid for upset stomach sometimes, when he refuses to eat. Recently, our vet suggested we change to a sensitive stomach food. Purina Pro Plan was one of three they suggested. I went online and read all of the reviews for each before deciding. It had a ton of reviews saying finicky cats really like this food. Well, this food was a HIT from day one. We give him the wet and dry version and he eats this stuff up! Before, he would rarely eat everything we gave him and it would take him a long time to eat. Now, he goes straight to the dish and gobbles his food up! I’m so happy to have finally found a food he loves. He’s only 7.8 lbs and could stand to gain just a bit of weight. After about 3 weeks of eating this food, he already seems less skinny. I highly recommend this food for your picky eater with tummy issues!
Good for kitties with issues. My cats really like this. I had a cat with severe allergies, he would get red. scratch himself up and break out in sores. I started him on this and it really helped. Also I rarely had any of the random puking that can come with cats. Do wish it was a little cheaper but other than that love it.
Finicky cat likes it. My cat is 14, and while he’s healthy overall, he’s getting old (me, too!) and now won’t eat wet food; he just licks the gravy, so I get him lickable treats. He loves his crunchies, though, and would happily nom the cheapest dry food I could find if I’d let him. He *loves* this, so I get it for him, but damn, it’s expensive. It’s just dry cat food, for heaven’s sake!
Cats love it. Great for my cat’s sensitive skin. I am going to guess it tastes good because my cat eats it….it does not stink but has a meaty odor…but I less one sticks their nose in it, you cannot smell it. My cat’s vet always tells us don’t worry about buying expensive cat food just stick with Purina.
Cats LOVE this, and it has helped reduce up-chucking. My Maine Coon cat has a sensitive nature, and used to express this by regurgitating at least daily. I was concerned about her esophagus and tried this Sensitive Skin and Stomach formula. It has noticeably reduced her episodes to very occasional. The Purina LiveClear formulas have also eliminated our itchy eyes and noses – worth the money.
Delicious. My cat loves it, so I love it
Excellent product that performs as promisted. I have a Siamese cat with skin and gut sensitivity. This product is loved (by cat and reviewer) because it is very easily tolerated and minimizes skin and gut issues.

cat foods formula for cats with stomach sensitivity. This formula seems to be better for my old cat than others I tried. She digests it well without any stomach problems. I purchased the lamb and rice formula. I intend to look for the same formula with different flavors. I will also try the wet food for variety.

This is the best feed. We have tried different foods for our cat, but she likes this one the most. It keeps her coat smooth and shiny. We’ll only order this from now on. Thank you!
