| Directions | Using a standard 8 oz/250 ml measuring cup which contains approximately 106 g of Pro Plan. We recommend that you keep your dog in ideal body condition and not allow your dog to become overweight. The exact amount of food your dog requires will need to be adjusted according to age, activity and environment. But a good place to start is with these guidelines for an average, active, adult dog fed once daily. MAKING THE SWITCH TO PRO PLAN Although you'll be anxious to see the difference Pro Plan can make in your dog, please allow 7 - 10 days to ease the transition from your dog's current food. Helps delicate stomachs maintain normalcy. I’m not going to lie, if we had an option of food, we would not buy this simply for how expensive it is.However! If you have a similar situation as we do, it does work. We adopted a brother and sister pair from our local SPCA without knowing that they have some sort of repeated gastrointestinal issue. We, of course, contacted our vet first after repeated loose or completely liquid stool to do multiple tests to ensure it wasn’t anything serious and came to the conclusion that they needed a two week supply of probiotics, at least. That box cost 40 dollars (For a box of 30, so 15 doses for each dog) on top of the price of our normal dog food and did work, unfortunately it didn’t last forever.That is where this food comes in, it doesn’t keep them from having loose stool now and again but it is far less frequent and actually less expensive in the long run. A mixture of rice and chicken now and again along with this food keeps my dogs from intestinal distress so it’s worth it, so if you have an issue like mine, this will likely help.
Dogs Love it. My daughter researched this and told me about what dogs should be eating verses, the poor information I had learned. I thought this brand looked healthy but wasn’t sure my dogs would go for it. The brand I was buying wasn’t available anymore and was very expensive (grain-free turkey).I took a gamble and ordered. Toy delight, they loved it! Even my little Rat Terrier-Poodle who hardly eats any dog food, loves it! Small soft pieces of chicken mixed with crunchy chunks are the winner I think! Great price too!
Great quality dog food. The dogs like it so much, they try to steal each other’s food. The littlest dog hides food for later so her big sister doesn’t eat it all.
No shredded food at all. I expected the product to look like the picture, silly me. There is NO shredded food at all, just kibble. I know dog food stinks, but this one is bad. It still could be good, but make sure you use it in your garage. Still to early to see if my dog is going to enjoy it as I was trying to phase it in, but since it does not look like the picture, not sure I will buy the product again.

Our vet says keep feeding her what we are feeding her, because she is in perfect shape at the age of 2. She never gets sick from this food. It’s a good reputable brand. I like the different shaped, shredded pieces.

my senior dog loves it. My senior dog has been eating this dogfood for several years , He really likes it and he maintains a healthy weight, His vet states he is very healthy. We’ve tried other dog foods but he doesn’t care for them. The good thing about this food is it is shredded so the kibble isn’t just one chunk of food. There are smaller pieces and larger pieces which makes it easier for my senior dog to eat. I get the chicken and rice. I will continue to buy this dog food.
ALL PAWS UP. I have a very picky boy that is almost 14 and I could never find a dry food he would eat for any length of time until now. I was using probiotics because he was also having gastric issues. Someone abandoned three puppies so now we have four to feed. I prefer to spend my money on something good instead of going to the vet. I was told what goes in comes out. I see a terrific difference with the dogs eating this and I no longer have to buy separate probiotics which was not cheap. I’m on a fixed income. The food is not cheap, but neither is the vetI just bought it for the cats as well. The formula appears similar for them and again what a difference my only problem is they want to constantly eat it lol it must be really yummy. I would rather eat oatmeal all the time if it meant my pets can eat this. They are worth it to me. I have big muscular cats, not puffy and fat from other foods with byproducts. I want my fur babies with me for as long as I can so this is worth it.

The 33-pound bag is a good value for the quality, and it lasts a while for a medium-sized dog.The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the bag doesn’t have a resealable option, which would be helpful to keep the food fresh longer. Still, that’s a minor issue compared to the benefits.Overall, this is a high-quality dog food I feel good about feeding my pet, and he’s clearly happy with it too. Highly recommend!
