| Directions | RECOMMENDED DAILY FEEDING AMOUNTS: We recommend that you keep your dog in ideal body condition and not allow your dog to become overweight. The exact amount of food your dog requires will need to be adjusted according to age, activity and environment. But a good place to start is with these guidelines for an average, active, adult dog fed once daily. FEEDING WEANING PUPS: Start puppies on dry or moistened Pro Plan as early as they begin to nibble at solid foods, generally 3 - 4 weeks of age. FEEDING GROWING PUPS: Feed pups (to six months of age) all of the moistened Pro Plan they will consume at intervals throughout the day. If fed dry, Pro Plan may be kept before pups at all times. FEEDING FOR REPRODUCTION: Pro Plan provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. Food consumption may vary during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant female’s ideal body condition. Food intake may double or even quadruple during lactation. MAKING THE SWITCH TO PRO PLAN: Although you’ll be anxious to see the difference Pro Plan can make in your dog, please allow 7 - 10 days to ease the transition from your dog’s current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more Pro Plan until you’re feeding Pro Plan exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets. Contains a source of live (viable) naturally occurring microorganisms. Provide adequate fresh water in a clean container daily. For your pet’s health, see your veterinarian regularly. |

Updated…No longer Love the ALS Sport line. My boxers like it! Easy to feed as meal or training treat for puppies to full grown dogs!Updated review, we no longer feed proplan as of fall 2020. My dogs did well on 30/20, 26/16 food for many, many years. However, the past year I have had several dogs of all ages, on both foods fall ill. Dogs developed GI distress, weight loss and coat changes and hair loss. We normally use a probiotic, so the addition of a probiotic would not contribute to the symptoms that developed due to the advertised “formula change”. Too many users of this product with sick dogs to be coincidence. Surprisingly no recalls…

Great for high energy dogs and to work with fieldtrials. .We have consistently used Purina Pro Plan with our field trial dogs. Gives them necessary energy and reserves to perform in the field.
10/10 nutrition. Excellent food. My picky eater resists it, but chows down hard once she finally gets going. It delivers everything she needs, and the price point is very reasonable.
Hard to find in my area. My pups LOVE this formula, and apparently, so do other dogs in my area. It’s hard to find and very hit-or-miss in stores. I have this on subscription and the quality is excellent. Delivery is a bonus. I highly recommend!
High energy is an understatement. Since I changed my granddog to this brand he is more energetic. He loves his new food. Using it for a Belgian Malinois mixed with German Shepard.
Good dog food. It doesn’t upset my dogs stomachs and maintains their weight.
Picky Eater Approved. I have a gangly pitbull who is a picky eater, constantly on the move, and loves to run full speed along our fence line. He was not too fond of the food I am feeding my other two pups and was getting skinny between his self-imposed diet, and his over active lifestyle. I searched high and low for a limited ingredient salmon based high-calorie food that wouldn’t send his sister into a major allergic reactive state if she nabbed a kibble or two and was so happy to find everything I needed from Purina.Even my vet gave this two thumbs up for complete nutrition at our appointment, and it’s helped my boy gain weight, and keep the weight on because he loves the taste of this food.

All life stages. I love that this food I can feed to my puppies, adults and also older dogs. They love the flavor. Stools are nice and firm and no issues with one of my dogs that has occasional GI problems. I highly recommend and this is on my autoship.

Great Quality. We order this food again and again for our three dogs. We have a presa canario, husky/pitbull, and a lab/beagle who all love this food. Our presa is a picky eater, so when we found a food she finally liked, we knew we had to stick with it. It’s a bit pricier, but worth it for the quality ingredients.

Great quality dog food. Our good boy, Drover, loves Purina Pro Plan. We’ve been feeding it to him since he was a puppy and just switched over to the salmon. His coat has never been shinier!
Good product. My two-year old English Setter loves this. Her coat is healthy and shines. I will continue to use this until she reaches the age of seven at which time I will switch to another Pro Plan product. Pro Plan is the best for us!

Good nutrition for our dog. We like the protein and fat ratio in this food. Our dog likes it. She’s ten and a half years old and hunts and plays like a much younger dog. It’s reasonably priced and easy to order.
