Not exactly what I’d hoped for. Our last four slice toaster felt sturdier. Solid. Like it would last for years. And it did. This one feels lighter, flimsier, and inspires zero confidence that it’s durable. I like my rye toast dark brown. You have to turn the dial all the way up and when the toast pops, you still have to toast it a bit longer. And folks, rye bread is about half the thickness of regular white or wheat. It’s a very light light toaster as well. I do t know about you, but I like some weight to my small appliances. It inspires confidence. Even my small Ninja drink blender feels sturdier. S drink blender feels sturdier than a four slice toaster? Get what you pay for, spend five it ten dollars more and get something sturdier. I gave it four stars because it works and it’s small enough to take up minimal space. That’s the only reason. Sorry, but it’s a “no” from me.
Basic but works. 4 stars because my “gluten free right side” doesn’t work as well as hobby’s “every kind if bread left side”. Very basic toaster. No bagel setting or frozen setting. The gluten free frozen bread slices use at least two toasting cycles on the highest setting. One side might be “over toasted” – the other side “hmmm – not toasted”.The gluten bread side seems to do a bit better but it’s often still requiring a second toasting cycle.We’ve had fancy, very pricy toasters and very basic toasters. I’ve switched to minimalist features since I toss them after about a yr since they aren’t “scrubbable” and get pretty ugly. For the $$, it’s an ok toaster.
Slots are short. While toaster does toast adequately well, negative aspect is the length of the slots. Width is fine no matter what bread or bagel is inserted, but the wider style loaf slices have to be jammed in since the slots are too short. Standard sandwich size bread is fine.
Great fit. It’s a NICE 4 slice toaster, really like how compact it is. Loving the pull out toaster tray at the bottom, easy cleanup! Easy to read dial for the temp setting. Good buy!
high quality. Very happy with this toaster as I was replacing an older model of similar product. Only drawback is the new one doesn’t have a red light indicating it is in use like the older similar model had. Otherwise a good purchase.
SIMPLICITY AT ITS FINEST. A few years ago my wife bought a toaster that has all kinds of settings, bells, and whistles. Almost immediately she hated the thing, always complaining about the uneven toasting, etc., so when I saw this Proctor Silex on sale for Prime Day I gave it a shot. Low and behold it toasts beautifully and evenly without silly gadgets or gimmicks, just a dial for each side to control the level of toasting.If you’re looking for a simple, inexpensive, and effective toaster then you could do a LOT worse than this Proctor Silex!

Toasts Great. Nice toaster. Got this to replace my old Proctor Silex that we had for about 30 years. I’m sure this one won’t last as long because it’s a lot lighter. It has nice wide slots and removable trays that are easy to clean. I like having the cancel buttons and being able to have different shade selectors for each side.
Amazing Purchase. Absolute value for money. Durable. Convenient. Easy to clean. Easy to use. Definitely would recommend this. Especially as wedding or housewarming gifts. Slots are wide enough even for bagels. But mind you, not big enough for Texas Toasts. Otherwise it’s tots cool.

Great toaster – simple but functional. We actually have a toaster oven with other functions, but wanted a toaster to make our toast. It’s a simple toaster, no frills, but toasts our bread perfectly on both sides. We wanted a 4 sliced toaster so we can toast our bread at the same time if we’re making sandwiches, it’s great!

All sides stay cool to the touch. So much safer then all other toasters We have had. Toasty bagels. They were done evenly. Each family member likes them different. Some light some darker and crunchy. They fit perfectly and came out easily, and toasted to perfection!!
Nice Toaster. A very nice toaster. Easy cleaning and looks great on the counter. The only issue so far is the inconsistency on toasting on each side. Set the level the same on both sides but they will be different. That’s not a deal breaker, it’s very simple to make the appropriate setting change per side to get it the way we want it.
Sleek Toaster. Very sleek and works great. I’m glad I am replacing my old one which I’ve had for over 20 years.
