Not perfect, but the best griddle I’ve ever used. I had a few things I was looking for in a grill.- VERY nonstick- easy to clean- steady temperature- low sides- even heat distribution* (This is the problem)I was wary of the nonstick issue with this griddle. The textured surface concerned me. I bought it anyway, because of the questions and reviews. Other reviewers said it would be fine and they were right! ZERO sticking. I did eggs with no oil or butter this morning and they were perfectLow sides – I needed these griddles to make crepes. A LOT of crepes. After the batter is poured, I use an offset spatula to spread them out. I’d been having serious issues with this when using my stove and the first (bad) griddle I tried. Well, these handles are super low. I didn’t even bump into one while cooking my super-sized test batch.”Easy to clean.” This was a place where I thought I’d be forced to compromise. I’m happy to report that I was wrong. The handles pop right off. All you have to do is press two springs and away they go. Without the handles and the wire, it’s nothing to take it to the sink for a quick wipe down. This is where the nonstick surface really shines. There’s barely anything to wipe off.Steady temperature. This was the reason I was forced to try a new griddle in the first place. With my gas stove, I felt like I was spinning plates. I kept having to tweak each burner the entire time I was cooking. I needed to be able to set it and forget it.The only minor bump with this is that, toward the end, both of my griddles did start to overheat. It wasn’t major and I just had to drop the temp by about five degrees. Back in business in less than 30 seconds.Heat distribution. This is where Presto lost a star. One griddle has near perfect even cooking all the way across. It really is remarkable. But the second griddle has a serious cold spot in the middle. I was able to work with it (it’s still SO much better than what I was using), but it is annoying. I’d live with it, but the other griddle is so perfect that I do believe that this one is defective.I’m going to make one more test batch tomorrow to pay attention to that particular issue. If it’s obvious enough, I’ll return this one and get another.And yes, I *absolutely* will get another. These are the best griddles I’ve ever had in my LIFE and right now I’m a loyal fangirl. It normally takes me about 40-45 minutes to make a batch of crepes (that’s with four burners going or two of the griddles I just gave away), but last night I made a double batch in 26 minutes, start to finish. Cleanup of the griddles took me ONE MINUTEIf they last and continue to perform like they did, I’ll be giving these away as presents.
This runs on 120 volts which is not suitable for UK or Europe. The supplier is probably aware of that now and will manage better. They were responsive and refunded my money and said to keep or donate the griddle. Good supplier.

Very pleased. I am very pleased with the Presto griddle. I purchased it when my stove went out as a temporary solution, but I can tell now that it will be one of my favorite kitchen appliances. Since buying it I have cooked everything from beef fajitas to omelettes, to pancakes, to toast, to bacon, etc. All have cooked evenly. I even made hash browns. One thing that I noticed is that when cooking omelettes they seem fluffier. Not sure if it is because the egg is able to spread out, but I have been very happy with the results. I would highly recommend this griddle. The price was also a good selling point. And it is so easy to clean with a soapy sponge. I am very happy to have purchased the Presto griddle.
Very impressed. I’ve been using an old panini press/grill to make b’fast for many years. It does the job but…. it was definitely time for an upgrade. This grill has great reviews including videos explaining every little feature. The price was definitely right so I pulled the trigger.As others have said, this thing heats up FAST! And it cooks FAST! My old rig took forever to get hot and took a long time to actually cook something. This thing is so fast that it’s difficult to get everything else together before it’s done.Comments: Yes, the surface is non-stick and VERY easy to clean with just a sponge and soapy water. But for eggs you do want to spray the surface with Pam or something.Handle come off easily and the grill stores away nicely even though I use it almost every day so I should probably just leave it out.I’m still fooling around with the temp settings. The manual says 300 degrees for eggs and that’s WAAAAY too high. 225 seems to be a much better temp and I may turn it down a bit more. Bacon cooks VERY quickly even at that low setting. Haven’t used it to make pancakes yet but pancakes are the main reason for this purchase. Need an electric grill? This is the one you want!
Great product (so far!). Finally decided to give my elderly electric griddle the heave-ho. The non-stick surface was non-functional and pretty bad looking. I have always used proper tools to avoid scratching, but I think someone (not me 🙂 once slathered it in non-stick spray, which is a total NO-NO on any of these. Just received my Presto and used it for the first time. WOW! My only problem was that I’ll have to get a new spatula with a VERY thin lip. When I went to flip my delicious buckwheat pancakes, the slightest bump on the side of the cake would literally send it rocketing off the griddle because it was so slick! Removable handles are great. Easy to clean. We’ll have to see how it holds up in the long run, but so far it is great. One thing – my laser thermometer says that it heats a bit higher (at least in the top range 350° to 400°) than it shows on the setting dial. I haven’t checked the lower ranges so they may be closer to setting. I wish I had bought this years ago. (Added after a month of use:) The only problem is the actual temperature – it is, as I said definitely higher than the markings indicate and there is a definite “heat pattern” of higher and lower areas from the heating element. All in all though, I am very happy with it – and a face full of delicious buckwheat pancakes!)
Works Great. We took this griddle camping for a week and are now using it at home. So far it has worked great. It is light weight and a pretty simple design. The legs easily come off for better storage which makes it super easy to use. We have only used it for bacon and pancakes. It definitely can make alot of pancakes if you make them smaller. The drain pan when it comes to bacon I think should be bigger. When we were cooking multiple batches of bacon I had to carefully remove it and drain it or it would over flow. My rating is based on a few weeks of usage so I’m going to give it a little time to see how it does later on.
Great Size for Families. I made this purchase to replace a griddle that I gave away. I miss the large drip tray on the previous model that acted like a warning tray. This model would be more convenient if it had a larger drip tray but other than the lack of that feature the non-stick surface is great and the size is adequate for families. The temperature range and accuracy has been working well for our intended use. I like that the griddle separates from the legs and is easy to clean and store.
Best Breakfast Asset. I bought this in 2019, still working well in 2024. I use it basically every weekend for pancakes or French toast. I needed something bigger than the stove pan. This works amazingly well for the pancakes and cleans up very easily. We’ve tried cooking meat on it before, but it’s more difficult to clean and meat likes to stick a little more so, but can still do it (we just don’t prefer). Also it’s awesome for grilled cheese. I love that the legs detach, making it really easy for storage for space saving purposes especially since it is a larger griddle. I plan on buying another one if/when this one fails. However, five years and it is still going strong.
