A Pet Corrector that Really, Really Works. Having tried numerous different bark correctors we truly didn’t believe any of them would actually work. Our dogs were barkers, in fact, they excelled at barking which was a challenging issue for us due to having someone in the family with a severe nerve issue which is easily triggered by the high pitch sound of the barking. Our dogs are part of our family so we needed to find a good option. Add to it all the fact we travel for a living and are in and out of hotel rooms most of the year. It is hard enough to find a hotel that accepts dogs, nevertheless, will tolerate barking.We had all but given up after using every possible bark corrector on the market…until we found the Pet Corrector. We didn’t have much hope that a little can of air could do much good but the ratings were astounding on this little product so for the price, we decided we didn’t have much to loose by giving it a try. When it arrived we were even less impressed but read all the directions and prepared to start training.What can we say, it not only controlled the barking but other bad habits as well. It took about 3 times of using the corrector which is sprayed into the air as the dog is barking or preforming whatever habit you wish them to discontinue. It is quick and painless but it causes them to stop in theirs tracks. The behavior stopped almost immediately. You can have it on hand but will find, if you use it correctly, will not need to administer it very often. It was unbelievable.Our dogs rarely bark now. They will bark if they sense real danger, like someone jiggling the door handle at a time when the family is not expected home. It does not seem to take away their natural instinct to bark when danger is present but does curb unnecessary barking. No longer is it a bark fest every morning in the hotel room as people begin leaving their rooms and the doors begin to slam shut, or when they hear someone in the hall or just to get attention. We even noticed that without the need to bark at everything, they have calmed down and seem more at peace and relaxed. It actually calmed down their personalities which was an added benefit we hadn’t planned on receiving from a little can of air.We cannot recommend this more highly. It is the most humane way to curb the barking and yet still retain the instinct to bark when needed. It is an excellent product that every dog owner having difficulty with barking should consider.

She’s our primary problem. Molly is like Samara, only she sleeps just fine. But she does not and will not stop barking once she gets started. Various methods have been tried and all to no avail. She is a tiny, high energy, intensely motivated ball of noise.The Corgi-mix is Humphrey. He likes to bark. He barks at the mail man. People walking past the house. People making noise out of sight in other parts of the house. Bugs. Ghosts. Humphrey, can be stopped from barking, but it takes a minute and some intense effort.So, in order to preserve our sanity, I decided to try the Company of Animals Pet Corrector. The logic behind how it works was sound. It’s basically a more intense version of Cesar Milan’s “tsch” noise.Humphrey, First Attempt:As soon as he started barking, I blasted the can. A loud, snake-like hiss issued forth. Humphrey’s pack brother, Oliver, leaped about 3 feet and then tried to figure out where the noise came from. Lucy crawled into her dog bed and laid down staring mournfully at me.But the affect on Humphrey was the most profound.It utterly sapped his very will to live. Humphrey’s tail is ALWAYS up. He is the bounciest, happiest, liveliest little dude you have ever met. But one blast from that can, and he walked across the living room with his tail dragging listlessly on the floor, crawled onto the couch and into my husband’s lap, and laid there like he had decided to never move again. He recovered some 5 minutes later when the blast hadn’t repeated.Humphrey, Second Attempt:He was utterly defeated. The second round of barking, and a second blast from the can, sent him to the couch again, this time to hide behind me and lay very quiet and still, as if to become invisible from “The Noise That Clearly Hates Corgis”. I honestly don’t think he barked again the rest of the night.Pet Corrector Vs Humphrey: Pet Corrector Wins.Molly, First Attempt:We brought the problem child out for a test of this seemingly miraculous behavior corrector. Perhaps even the demon dog can be changed!I sent the kids outside, leaving Molly behind, a scenario guaranteed to make her start barking.She of course promptly did, and I blasted the Corrector.This did not go so well.Molly not only barked harder, she became ridiculously aggressive. Hackles up, she proceeded to attack another pack mate, who had to be put in another room for his safety, and so as not to mess up our tests.Meanwhile, Molly is still barking.Molly, Second Attempt:Molly is now frantically running around the living room, hackles up, barking furiously.I trigger a second blast.Oliver, who was startled silly by the Corrector the first two times I blasted it, has now decided to BARK AT IT. Wait, what? Oliver, no!Molly, is not in any way shape or form intimidated by this thing. In fact, she has now declared all out war on the entire house. THAT NOISE BE D****D!! She is charging everyone and everything in sight. Oliver gets in her way, and suddenly this is Sparta.Fortunately, everyone is separated without injury, Molly is put in check, and peace falls upon our house once more.Pet Corrector Vs Molly: Molly Wins, kicks dirt on the can, pees on the dirt, and scrapes her feet to show everyone watching who is BOSS.In summation:Pet Corrector works brilliantly on normal dogs with minor behavioral issues. I highly recommend it for this scenario.Pet Corrector might actually make tiny high-energy spawns of Cerberus worse. I don’t recommend it for the Mollys of the world.For those concerned, Humphrey did recover his will to live, and picked his tail up off the ground. 🙂
Perfect. I needed my son’s alaskan sled dog (BIG dog, excitable) puppy.. less than a year old… to learn to not jump on my stove & counters. He left this puppy with me for a month while he went to work in the back country and she was exhausting. It was like having a hyper 3 year old human toddler in my home again.Anyway, this shot of air stuff was FABULOUS!! Scared the bejesus out of the dog the first few times. Exactly what I was looking to do.The next coupla times she jumped up, or put her paws all up on my stove, counters, or table, I only had to get out the can and she new to get down. She’d run into the other room. For awhile I just kept the can on the counter while I was cooking and would only have to reach for it when the dog got twitchy and wanted to see what was happening with the food prep. She’d back right down after the first few days if hearing that hiss & little blast of air.So A+++ for me as a training tool.
Use this item correctly it will work. This item is meant to be used with a negative/positive feedback. It’s not meant to be used as a dog remote control or magic wand.With clicker training your dog recognizes that the “click” means positive reward. (Pavlov’s theory of positive reinforcement with bells.)The way you use it is with negative behavior you correct the behavior then make the air can spray air making the noise. Then once your dog has positive behavior you reward.For example: your dog is barking. You say “no bark” and spray the air. When they stop you say “quiet, good dog” and reward. But all this has to be immediately when this is happening. That’s how you build the positive behavior.Again, if you use this with training it will work. But it’s not a off switch
Hard to activate. I’m using this product for dog training and the button on the top of the can is very hard to push down. For someone who might have arthritis, this might be an issue.It would be nice if there was 100 ml in each can as the number of uses per can are limited. I do like the size of the can and realize that doubling the contents would increase the size and make it less portable if putting it in your pocket.
Works well for larger, high energy puppies. We have two puppies, one a lab/shepherd mix and one a basenji/terrier mix. They are 15 months and 13 months, respectively. I call them the toddlers. The older one doesn’t do much unwanted barking but the younger one does. I was looking for a way to curb the barking when I ran across this product.I have to say that I really didn’t expect it to work. I watched a few videos on dog behavior, figured “oh well” and gave it a try.I’m shocked. It worked.I also have two small dogs and I won’t use it on them, because I could see that it would be traumatic. But for our 32 pound Basenji, it works amazingly! Be cognizant on the type of dog you are using it on. Bigger is better in this case, I think…
Works. I have a HIGHLY reactive fear aggressive pit mix who literally goes through the ceiling and to infinity and beyond when over threshold. We’ve been training for years to help curb these behaviors (he was a kill list dog at the pound) and basically nothing has worked in any significant way and I was starting to believe maybe he’s just genetically unfit. We’ve tried balanced training and negative reinforcement and positive training with high value treats and slow exposure etc etc. I’m am experienced animal trainer and consistent with him but this dog has been really hard to get through to when he’s in that high arousal mode.I bought this after moving next to a neighbor who lets their dog roam at large unsupervised 24/7. It was impossible for me to create distance and deal with the off leash dog in my yard as well as work with my own exploding dog in any reasonable way. Every time we went outside it was a rage war. I thought to myself I’m probably wasting money again but what the hell I’ll try anything at this point.This product works! It’s the best thing I’ve ever spent money on for my dog. It has allowed me to gently immediately redirect him when he starts to rage and now after about a week of use he’s starting to look at me first and respond to verbal commands to “leave it” and settle down. I haven’t had to use the corrector as much and my dog and I are actually communicating effectively. He’s never stopped being locked in his rage brain after escalating before. We went from him trying to break through a window to get to the neighbors dog to being able to sit at the window and watch a cat go by without freaking out. My dog still has a long way to go but this product has helped us immensely. Use it appropriately and it’s a fantastic training aid. I can’t believe I never tried something like this sooner.100% recommend!!!!!! Not an instant fix, dedication training is the fix but holy crap this is the best reactive dog training aid I’ve ever found.
An Effective Way to Gently Correct Your Dog’s Behavior. Recently, I noticed that our dog had gotten in the habit of barking excessively. Normally, we only use positive methods of dog training. We generally only give rewards for good behavior but we do not punish bad behavior.This approach has worked well for us until this issue. But no matter how we went about it, we couldn’t figure out how to effectively use our normal click and treat approach to address this problem of excessive barking.So we decided to try this Pet Corrector, and I’m really glad we did! One little press of the button , and my dog immediately stopped barking! A few minutes later, he started back up so I sprayed it again. Once he put it together and realized the Pet Corrector sound was a response to his barking, the barking stopped!I did have to repeat this process for each situation in our home that prompted the excessive barking. I only addressed one area of barking per day. For example, one day I focused on not barking at the squirrels outside the window and the next day I focused on not barking at dogs he sees on the television. It didn’t take long at all before the awful barking that had become normal for our house had been reduced to a much more tolerable level.I really like this product because it has helped correct this behavioral issue without scaring my dog. My dog is not afraid of this product, he just doesn’t like it. But it hasn’t made him scared to bark when he is playing or when someone comes to the door. Which is good! But it has worked wonders at stopping the excessive barking that was hard to live with!
Effective but Needs a Better Design. I had high hopes for this pet corrector after my dog trainer recommended it. While it does have its benefits, there are some significant drawbacks.Pros:Effective deterrent: The sound it produces effectively deters my dog from barking or seeking attention, which has been a game-changer during walks.Cons:Design issues: The corrector is quite small and slips easily from my hand. Unfortunately, the first time I used it, I accidentally sprayed it on my finger, and it started burning immediately! I had to wash my hand thoroughly for a long time.Safety concerns: I wish the design was better so that there’s less chance of accidentally spraying myself while using it. Now, I put on rubber gloves when walking my dog to avoid any mishaps.Overall, while the pet corrector works well, I would recommend it with caution due to the design flaws. With a few tweaks, it could be a fantastic product!
It works. I have tried everything to get my dog to stop reacting aggressively with other dogs. Pet Corrector works instantly. She calmed down immediately. Easy to use. We’ve used it for two weeks now. We forgot to take it with us for a walk and we bumped into 3 other dogs. She started to react and my friend imitated the sound of the spraying and she stopped right away. I won’t rely on that quite yet. But, I think we should have her trained not to react. What a great product. Great price and mellow fragrance.
This works for jumping dogs. My 3 year old golden retriever jumps on people and this product is fabulous. Immediately after using it, she stops in her tracks. I absolutely recommend it. It is safe and the sound is a whoosh.
Great dog product. I got this for other dogs not my own. We have been having issues with people letting their dogs loose then they come and attack my dog on our walks.Sadly that’s the reason why I got this product but it works well to kinda snap a dog out of its current thought. Great distraction till you can get things handled yourself or with help.But I’ve worked at daycares in the past and it helps with small scuffles with dogs, but also learn how to stop fights. They are different kinds and this product only helps with smaller altercations.

Bark corrector. A puff of this compressed air product & a “no” works well to distract & stop barking for some dogs. Now I just reach for it and barking is interrupted.Pro: It worksCon: Expensive if you have 2 or 3 barkers.
