Not great for anal gland issues. I have a large dog with anal gland issues and hoped this might help. I kept meticulous track of every anal gland leak for 4 months with this product and 3 months without and there was not a significant difference. I will say that if your dog has anal gland issues due to poor stool quality, then this might be worth a shot, but if the issue is more anatomical (i.e. poops are fine, glands are just not properly expressed naturally), it probably will not help. You can try it, but I’d recommend keeping track as well so you can see if you’re getting any benefit.

It WORKS. I did hesitate before grading BPP on taste since I confess that I, the human, have not tasted it. Then I stopped to consider that my two dogs, one a 125 lb. picky eater, HAVE tasted it and apparently they rate it very highly. The aforementioned dog arrived here with such bad diarrhea that my husband felt compelled not only to carry our pooper-scooper down the block but also a large watering can and brush to clean up the street. Thank heaven things did improve greatly as he matured but there were always setbacks which led me to buy countless products that might help. All that did was convince me (and him) that he loathed pumpkin. Then one day I found a bag of Bernie’s in the back of the cupboard where I had pushed it in despair, and from then on everything at that end was perfect. Truly. He never objected to it in his food, seemed to like it in fact, and it absolutely had the desired affect. Then we got an older puppy who arrived without a hint of what she had been eating where she had come from. So she went straight onto our diet, normally a sure-fire recipe for problems, and sure enough the first two days were … loose. And fetid. Then I remembered Bernie’s, and sure enough, we had a second miracle cure. So I can unequivocally recommend this product to anyone. For us, if not literally a lifesaver, it has been quite literally a sanity saver-!!!

Is this really possible. “Bernie’s Perfect Poop”. Whoa is this real? Anyone else tried this? We have had our Frenchie puppy for two months now, and I don’t think he has taken a normal poop the entire time. It’s been nothing but gross loose shooting out poops. We’ve tried changing foods, we put him on parasite meds in case he has giardia, we have given him anti-diarrheal medicine, I was at my wits end. I decided to buy some of this perfect poop the other day from Amazon and follow the directions and I was kind of shocked that after the very first time he ate it, I saw what looked like an almost normal poop for the first time in the entire time we’ve had him. I was half expecting this not to work at all, or to take a week or two to see any kind of resolution because we’ve been let down with every change we’ve ever made. I gave it to him for the second time today and again, I saw what looked like a normal poop, followed by some pretty gross stuff at the very tail end of it. But I’m still pretty, amazed that it actually seems to make a difference which is kind of shocking.Anyone else try this stuff? Curious if this is something to keep him on long term or what the story is there. So far so good! I’ll update my review if things change.

Lifesaver for Puppy Diarrhea. Here’s my puppy diarrhea story -My sweet labradoodle puppy has had diarrhea since we adopted him. Countless switching of foods and saw some improvement once we moved from a chicken to a lamb based food (which I would highly recommend if your puppy or dog has regular diarrhea, many dogs are sensitive to it and you would never guess)Saw a bit of improvement on Victor Lamb and Brown Rice food, until his bouts of nighttime diarrhea started. I dewormed him thinking it could be that but no improvement. I was up every hour and a half, 4-7 times a night for my lil man to do the hershey squirts. Poor guy. Took him to the vet who put him on Metronidazole, which worked instantly, but as soon as the dose was up his nighttime diarrhea started again. I ordered an allergy test for him, only to get the results that he was clear for everything I fed him. So that didn’t help either. Additionally, my puppy acted COMPLETELY normal besides the diarrhea, so I was positive there wasn’t something else underlying.I was at a complete loss of what to do. In a last ditch effort, I decided to order this and try it out.I saw initial bits of improvement when I sprinkled this on his food, but not enough to make a difference. (I started with the 1/4 serving like it says and slowly sprinkled a bit more on his food each day. Unfortunately the nighttime diarrhea continued. I came back to these Amazon reviews searching for guidance or other thoughts and saw another reviewer mention that he gave his Yorkie puppy a tablespoon on its food each morning, which ultimately resolved its diarrhea. Last ditch effort round 2, I topped my puppy’s food with a full tablespoon (from previous ~1 teaspoon) thinking that his diarrhea couldn’t get any worse anyways, so why not shoot for the moon.HALLELUJAH, literal immediate results. No more night time diarrhea, literal perfect poops! When I take him off of it, the diarrhea comes back. I’ve heard some puppies just grow out of the soft stools, so we’ll see how he does without it once he gets older. For now, major heartfelt gratitude for perfect poop for saving my sanity (and my pup). I LOVE YOU!

My dog loves the taste and it did help to get rid of his chronic runny poops. The product arrived arrived on timeI feel like it worked to make my dog’s poop solid. He has a sensitive stomach and has frequent bought a of runny poop. My dog is a golden retriever and he pretty much will eat anything but he seems to like the taste of Bernie’s. UNBELIEVABLE. I don’t ever leave reviews but this is worth it! I have 27 lb, 11 year old beagle that I got at 7 weeks old and she’s my baby. We walk every day for a hour. She keeps me healthy and I want to keep her healthy. Ive tried everything to help her stomach including expensive foods. She goes through phases of disgusting slime poops for week at a time and you can tell she doesn’t feel well. Most recently I was feeding her Hill’s Science diet dry, mixed with a little pumpkin and a little cooked rice which seemed to be pretty good. Then I saw this on Amazon, it seemed expensive but reviews were great. I started it a week ago and worked up to a heaped tbsp once a day. Within few days she seemed more active but I thought it was just a coincidence. But now (week later) she continues to be active, she’s more alert, her eyes look better, her poop are perfect consistency and her breath does not smell bad! I’m so happy for her! I can’t wait till spring to see if she stops eating grass then throwing up every morning. I will continue to buy this and tell everyone!

Really helped our 105lb lab retriever. Our gigantic lab retriever lives with a delicate tummy causing us to try a wide-range of food to find anything that did not cause diarrhea. The answer to our months of searching and experimenting came from our decision to try this product for its probiotic features. In a short time period of less than one week our dog finally, after 8 months, began to actually have perfect poop instead of the runny wet loose stool we were so accustomed to. I believe this product helped to correct issues with his digestive system and we continue to use the product as our “fail safe” while we continue to experiment with food groups. This product is definitely worth its cost and we can feel good highly recommending this product.

This stuff WORKS. My 2 Poochons had been having digestive issues for three months, and I literally had them at the vet 3 or 4 times and $800 later and nothing was helping their diarrhea. The vet would prescribe Flagyl which would help for a few days but my little guys would go right back to horrible diarrhea as soon as the meds stopped. Had them on chicken and rice diet etc and their little bellies just wouldn’t straighten up. Simple, easy and it works. This is the first thing that I have tried that my pup doesn’t detect and turn her nose up at. She has colitis and we have tried everything.She’s on a prescription diet , the vet has me boil chicken and add it to her prescription food daily. Then we add rice if she has any loose poop. She just had another bout of the colitis and she has been itchy. I am hoping this helps. So far her poops are the most normal , consistent sized poop she has ever had. She’s 6. We have tried all sorts of prebiotics, special foods, brushing her, etc This stuff seemed to help within a few days. She’s small (12lbs) and I use about 1/3 tspn on her food daily. She has no clue it’s in the food and eats it up. Like I said, I have NEVER seen her poop so perfect and consistent EVER. No straining, no soft serve , no watery poo. NothingTHANK YOU SO MUCH 🐶❤️🐶❤️

This works better then I expected. I followed the directions, and slowly introduced it in my dogs morning feeding. I have a 6 year old French bulldog, almost instantly I noticed a significant difference in his stools and within a few weeks his nose became smoother , along with his fur.
