Absolutely Recommend. Our family love these brushes. They aren’t a sponge, so they’re Teflon safe (most sponges will scratch off the Teflon, which will make Teflon pans leach chemicals into your food). Plus they don’t hold in as much bacteria as traditional sponges (on average, sponges are so moist that they contain more bacteria than your toilet seat). I’m kind of a clean freak and have slowly converted most of our extended family to the benefits of brushes over sponges! They also hold their shape pretty well and don’t have problems with discoloration. We don’t have a dishwasher and use our brushes fairly rigorously. Plus, we cook with a lot of turmeric and beets, which could easily dye the ordinarily white brush pink. These brushes keep their shape and color well. They discolor a little, but are right back to their prestige white after a couple of uses.Overall, they’re of good quality! Sometimes the plastic doesn’t connect perfectly and soap leaches out of the sides or a piece of plastic breaks at the head and the replacement brushes don’t fit on quite right. We had one where we had to keep supergluing the brush back on. But a little extra soap never hurt! All things considered, they’re good quality. Like everything that you use regularly, you’re going to have to replace them every couple years. They’re inexpensive enough, though, and that that isn’t a problem. They’re the best brushes that I’ve used and we have no problem replacing them every once in a while. We’ve been using them for probably a decade now and have only had to buy 3 or so bases. The brushes you have to buy once a year, but they usually come in packs of two, so that’s not too bad. Definitely recommend.

Great dish brush idea that needs a design tweak. Great idea. Love the grippy handle, the interchangeable brush & pad, & refillable detergent reservoir in the handle; i even purchased one to use for a quick scrub in the bathroom tub and sink. The detergent/cleaning solution reservoir is so convenient! In the kitchen, it’s much easier to clean the brush (top rack dishwasher or a few minutes soak in disinfectant), than washing & dealing with stinky scrub sponges that shred & fall apart and then end up in the landfills. I give this dish brush a 4 instead of a 5. The trouble is the last 3 of 4 i have purchased don’t last long, 2- 4 months. On one, the reservoir cap began to leak. On the others, the plastic at the bottom of the reservoir begins to leak. This last one the glue holding the plastic junction connecting the handle to the brush holder together just simply broke, and the dish soap spilled out. I am not King Kong on my dishes, but I use my dish brush multiple times daily. The designers need to address the connective glue or whatever connects the attaching plastic parts of the handle to the part the brush attaches to. Great idea, much better functionally than the other cheaper brands, but needs a single piece to improve durability. Hoping the plastic is recycleable as these puppies should last longer but don’t. 🙁 At the price they are, I’m stopping to consider whether to purchase any more. Leaning toward a regular brush that lasts a year or two or three.
Upgraded brush from the last OXO model. We started our dish scrubbing journey decades ago, using the various green and yellow types of dish soap scrubber soap dispensers. Always had leaks and frequent slide on head replacements. About three years ago we purchased our first OXO model and were very pleased with the handling and durability. That is until the rubber push button for dispensing soap cracked. That unit lasted about two years. We bought this model as a replacement, and it seems to have a more durable rubber button for dispensing soap, AND a more sturdy brush head. (We’d replaced the head on the old unit two times, so three total used in two years.) As most folks know, the type soap used alters the function of the dispenser. Dawn is thick and a better dish cleaner/grease dissolver than the Ajax, Palmolive, etc. type soaps, however we find that the cheaper soaps are dispensed in a better quantity to clean dishes. If we use Dawn there is too much rinsing needed of our pots/pans because just too much dish soap is dispensed with a push of the rubber button. OXO kitchen products are great overall, but this scrubber will fail after a year plus due to the rubber dispenser button (primer bulb) cracking open.

The Most Useful Kitchen Implement You Didn’t Know You Needed. I bought this item for the first time at Bed, Bath & Beyond. I was looking for just a standard scrub brush and was actually disappointed that all they had was this gimmicky scrub brush with an embedded soap dispenser. But this thing immediately turned out to be my main clean up tool in the kitchen. Great on pots and pans, great on surfaces, even useful for cleaning up shoes or anything else. The soap reservoir lasts a good long time. The brush is comfortable in your hand, ergonomically designed. The only flaw is that the rubber soap dispenser button does wear out over time causing a fatal leak in the soap reservoir. But it’s such a handy tool, I didn’t at all mind buying a replacement a year or two later. This is a great gift for friends or family members. Everyone I know who has tried it has become a big fan.

Best scrubber made. I have tried many dish scrubbers and have found this to be one of the better ones! Good luck if you can find it anymore in the stores but thanks to Amazon, they had it AND also the replacement brushes! The previous one I had had fallen and broken. Tried to glue the soap holder back on the shaft but wouldn’t work so….that’s why I searched for another. If I was to get again, I may get the OXO one that has a screw-on top for adding in the soap. The one I got has a flap that sometimes opens, enabling soap to escape. Either way, I just love the OXO brand for quality and so happy with this purchase!
Great for scrubbing pots. I love the ability to scrub pots and pans fresh off the stove to get them clean without needing to soak. It’s hard to maneuver the shape of these for bowls or cups thought, great for scrubbing plates, utensils, and pots and pans. Still need a separate sponge for everyday cleaning nearby
Better Than Dawn Refillable. I do not have a dishwasher except my two hands. I’ve been using the refillable Dawn brush with the soap refill and handle for many years. When I discovered that the brush refills were getting harder to find I decided to try the Oxo brand. I was not disappointed, and in fact, prefer it over the Dawn brush. It costs less too.The bristles are softer and are easier on my dishes. I love that the soap refill area opens at the top and it’s much easier to pour. No liquid soap waste. Lastly, I like that I don’t have to push on the rubber button to dispense the soap. Just a little pressure on the brush, dispenses the soap onto my dishes and pots and pans. I am glad I ordered refill brushes along with the oxo original. I’m sure this is going to be my new favorite brand. For anyone with or without a dishwasher I highly recommend.
Old version better than new version – but the “button” is the main failure point. I’ve purchased at least a half dozen of these over the past few years and when the “New” version came out recently, (for $1.00 less) I had to try it. Well, I’m not sure who over at OXO is designing these, but the new design is worse. Harder to grip and use, more awkward to dispense the soap. Pretty much the main reason you buy a dish brush like this. So I’ve purchased several of the “old” version as I assume eventually, OXO will no longer offer this version. Unfortunately, the main failure point of the brush is the button that dispenses the soap – it will fail/crack after a while, rendering it pretty much useless. OXO needs to find a different design/material (silicone rather than rubber perhaps) that will last longer. Of course planned obsolesce causes us all to keep purchasing, so no doubt that’s their intent.

I like these, but they always have a flaw. In the past it was the push button always breaking and leaking. On this one the brush pops off too easily. Still, they are attractive and work well, as long as you keep them full of soap and don’t let them get too empty.
We already had one with a base but the brush broke after several years. This is by far one of the best sink/dish brushes!
I have purchased several of these brushes over time. Eventually the plastic that holds the brush in place becomes brittle and breaks, but not before it is been well-used over time. The brush is nicely designed so that it easily slips in and cleans tall glasses. It also works well on plates, bowls, pans and just about every other houseware imaginable. A good value, especially if you buy it when it is on sale.
