My dogs love these ducks. I have 2 small dogs (< 20 lbs) that love to chew on squeak toys. We've bought so many and they'll last a day or two and then one of them will figure out how to chew a hole in the toy and tear the squeaker out. The promise of "indestructible" squeakers was to good to pass, and I liked that there wasn't any filling for them to pull out and eat.I'll talk about the bad first, while these are the most resilient squeak toys I've found, they're far from indestructible. It takes anywhere from a couple hours to a day before the squeaker flattens out inside the toy. I will say they still squeak if you kinda mash the squeaker but they don't last anywhere as long as I'd hoped.Right now there's 5 of these ducks in my house. There were 6 but they finally managed to tear a hole in one and I threw it away. It wasn't destroyed, but they have plenty of ducks to play with. My dogs LOVE them. They'll spend hours running around squeaking the ones that still squeak, or just gnawing on the ones that don't. They always want the one the other one has so there's lots of competition to swap ducks.I have 4 more of these in a drawer, waiting for the day I feel like making them super happy with fresh squeakers. I also bought them the 3 squeaker snakes and those have held up even better. They squeak them so much, I have to take them away so I can hear the TV. Then they spend the night trying to find where I hid them.While these aren't indestructible, they're a hit in my house and at the price, I'll keep buying them because they make my dogs happy and they hold up to the chewing. I imagine larger dogs might destroy them very quickly but if you have smaller dogs, these might be a win.
took my pitbull less than 3 days to chew through… but she loved it. My dog really enjoyed this toy. However, she managed to chew her way through and pull out the squeaker in less than 3 days. Hardly “invincible”. But I do like that it doesn’t have stuffing, because she only likes plush toys and I always worry she’ll eat the stuffing and get sick. Maybe it would be better if it was a toy that you only let your dog have during certain times of day so it would last longer. She was very intent on killing it so she went much harder on it than on her other toys for long periods of time. It is fairly cheap at least, so I may buy one again in the future as a special treat for her.
Favorite toy. Best ever squeaky snake! I have three mixed bully dogs who can normally destroy a toy in 15 minutes. My dogs love to run around with these, play tug-of-war, and squeak them like crazy, for days before they get down to the serious business of trying to tear through the side seam to get the squeakers out. The largest snake has twelve squeakers and it takes my “wrecking crew” a long time to get them all. I also buy these as gifts for my Staffy grand puppy and my Dad’s black mouth cur, who is a really large dog. The XXL snakes stand up to all the dogs and is their favorite toy.
My dog loved it, but it’s far from invincible. My dog went nuts for this toy. He absolutely loved it. He’s a little 12 pound beagle mix…and within a week he has torn out all the squeakers. He just grabbed the last one about 15 minutes ago. So for the cost, he got a lot of entertainment, but not a whole lot of longevity.
My dii oh g loved ripping it up and getting the squeezers out. I wish it took her a little longer to rip it apart (about 3 days), but I decided then to buy multiple sized snakes and the smaller one was best for lasting longer. She consumed a lot of the the threads and plastic so she got sick and threw it all up. Then she decided not to eat somuch of the others! Much better. Still makes a mess, but what can you do? A dog’s got to have fun when mom and dad aren’t all that fun!;-D
Really indestructible. This is the only toy my two Corgis have been unable to destroy and they’ve sure tried! One of them is very meticulous with these so called tough toys and finds any loose stitch and puts on the hours to destroy it. Our they’ll just gnaw chunks off. This one is still fully intact and had even been through the washer a couple times because they are constantly on it so it’s only gotten very dirty but no damage at all
Consider your dog’s chewing habits before purchase — my house this is a rebuy. This is definitely a product for a small dog. I have two 15 lb dogs, one is a gentle chewer, the other destroys everything with a squeaker, just depends on how long. I agree with other reviewers, it’s tougher than your average squeaker but not indestructible. That being said, it offers a lot of play value, in 5 days, she has damaged the fabric a little, seams are good, squeaker still works. It is a lower sounding squeaker, so she enjoys it but doesn’t get obsessed as she does with other sneakers. Definitely a rebuy for my dog. With small dogs there is always that balance between durability and the ability to actually chew the toy…we have fire hose squeakers that are literally too tough, she can’t chew them. One star off because I feel the ad makes the toy sound indestructible. Update: one month later, it’s still being played with and the squeaker works. Update 5 months later, still squeaking and being played with.

The squeaker isn’t super durable, but he doesn’t instantly go to tearing this one up like his other toys with stuffing. I like that there isn’t stuffing in this because then when he does chew on it, I don’t find fluff all over the house. I will buy another one if needed because he carries this around like it is his most prized possession. The material isn’t super thick but it is a little bit tougher than some toys. Definitely NOT for a strong chewer, but still fun and worth the price!

For Heavy Chewers Who Love Squeaky Toys. We have a Yorkie who loves squeaky toys. However, we’ve seen her shred a supposedly “stronger” (that’s what the label claimed) stuffed elephant with three squeakers in one day: she broke the squeaker in the elephant’s stomach, tore off one leg and part of an ear. Worse, there was a squeaker in the elephant’s leg that I caught her chewing on. Stuffing was all over the place.These toys are perfect. They have no stuffing inside. The squeaker is much, much sturdier and she’s had this toy now for a week. It is fully intact, squeaker working. She loves to have us toss this toy, she will retrieve it, and bring it back, hoping we will play “tug o’ war” with her. The toy is too small for that, so we’ll be purchasing a larger one in this brand that is large enough to play a bit of “tug o war.” We found these toys to be way less expensive here–in fact, the pet shop charged double for what you pay here on Amazon. This toy is sewn very well, so it has not split, and our dog is a heavy chewer–she would make a good tester for dog toy manufacturers. This size is good for Yorkies and smaller dogs, but this company makes toys in all different sizes for different-sized pups.
cute little dog toy. I got this toy because my dog (22 pound cockapoo) is a destroyer of worlds and dog toys. She can chew and destroy anything and this was supposed to be something that could stand up to her. It did stand up to her, it’s still in one piece but she hates it. She played with it when she first got it for maybe 5 minutes but has never pulled it out to play with it again so I don’t know.Good rating for being a sturdy toy, bad rating for holding her interest
Not So Tough. Well 2 hours after delivery the Pig has fallen prey to our 15lb Bichon. I purchased this brand of dog toy specifically because Gracie has had several Outward Hound plush toys for months and months without being disemboweled and/or destroyed. On the positive side, Gracie loved the pig every MINUTE she had it!
Perfect Toy for My Little Tiger. I bought this adorable Chew Guard Dog Toy for my tiny Tiger (a Chihuahua and rat terrier mix), and it’s been an absolute hit! From the moment I gave it to him, he couldn’t stop playing with it. The toy is just the right size for his small frame, and the soft but durable material has held up wonderfully to his chewing and tugging.Tiger loves the fuzzy texture and the cute design – the little tuft of hair on top adds an extra bit of charm that even I find irresistible! Good quality for price. I bought this for a pomchi dog they are little and these toys are the best for them. They have never tore one up and they love the sound of the toy. The pig is cute and they have never tore the stuffing out of the toy and it’s not hard for their little mouths
Small, but cute. Much smaller than I anticipated. Great toy for terrier size dog or smaller. Squeezes in the belly, makes a sound. Durable stitching so shouldn’t have any issues getting ripped open. I highly recommend.
