My puppy thinks it’s her friend. I spent a whole bunch of money recently buying dog toys, I introduced this one to her as a friend because it makes two different sounds, and she is very good around cats and any other animal to be perfectly honest with you. This is now her favorite friend and she carries it around and is very careful with it. Very happy with the result of this toy.
So far, so good. We foster puppies and in this case we got mama also since the babies were still nursing. Unfortunately, this was yet another case of babies having babies! In other words, she is very young and just a big puppy herself. Man can this girl destroy some toys! She got spayed and I felt so bad for her having to wear the “cone of shame” plus she was pretty loopy from the anesthesia, so since this arrived the day of surgery I gave it to her, having low expectations of it lasting long. I realize this brand is pretty good, but like I said she is a major destroyer so I figured she’d have the stuffing out in no time. Granted, she does still have the cone on, but it hasn’t stopped her from tearing up other stuff (as in things she was not supposed to get ahold of!) It is currently one of her favorite toys and it makes me happy that she loves it so much. Hey guys….adopt don’t shop! (Sorry, just had to get that in there.)
My mom’s dog 🐕 loves this toy. I purchased this dog 🐕 toy for my mother’s dog. His name is Max. It was for his birthday. My mother’s dog is very picky on what dog toys he will play with. Also, the dog toys he does play with he ends up chewing them to pieces. I was so pleasantly surprised that he really enjoys playing with this dog toy that I got him for his two year old birthday. Also, he has had this dog toy for one month. Max plays with it and chews on it on a daily basis. So far, with all the consistent chewing daily this dog toy is pretty tough and is still in very good condition. I highly recommend that you purchase this dog toy. I’m very glad 😊 I did.
Great toy for what it is. I’ve bought a ton of them. the GOOD- dogs LOVE the grunting sound. I’ve bought this toy like 20 times in all different sizes. the smallest ones don’t have a grunt. These are a favoritethe Bad- literally ANY toy these days is basically a stuffed animal that gets torn apart fast if you let your dog. I have a 20 pound dog and use it to play fetch in the house. If she lays down with it for more than 10 seconds alone she’ll rip a hole in it or pull fur out to eat. But this is literally the case with any toy if your dog claws at them instead of gently nibbles.
A favorite, but sadly not durable enough. This is very popular in our house, but I can’t give it 5 stars because the durability is so poor. My dog absolutely loves this hedgehog, its her favorite toy. The piggy grunt noise in its belly is hilarious to me, and seems to be deeply satisfying to her. She loves to run around with it in her mouth, and finds it soothing to make it “grunt” when she is over-excited and needs to calm herself. Sadly, the exterior is not durable enough to last more than a few weeks. She doesn’t generally destroy toys, she just likes to chomp on this to make it grunt, but a hole wears in the exterior and all the stuffing begins to spill out, and I have to take it away. I have bought 3 of these for her in the space of 3 months, and I am not sure its worth it. I am building up a stash of discarded hedgehogz, which looks perfectly good until you notice the hole in the side. I wish they would manufacture these with a more robust fabric. I’m tempted to try repairing, but I think its just too weak overall.

Much bigger than I thought. I bought the large thinking it’d be the same size I normally see at the store but this was probably twice the size! My dog absolutely loves the grunting noise and loves the thicker, furry toys like this. She chewed it up in order to get the squeaker and then shredded the outer layer. It only lasted one night but she’s 60lbs and a shredder so it’s to be expected these toys won’t last around her
My dog’s favorite toy. I’ve bought several of the Outward Hound Hedgehogz plush toys in different sizes, but this was my first time ordering the XL and my dog absolutely loves it! There’s something about this toy that makes it her favorite; she runs around the house with it all the time. We’ve been fans of the brand for a while, and this toy didn’t disappoint. It’s not ideal for tough chewers because of the stuffing, but it’s perfect for dogs that just love carrying around and playing with plush toys. Highly recommend for light chewers
Fantastic toy. My Sheltie absolutely loves this toy. It oinks and squeaks. It is very well built. He chews on it, throws it up in the air, plays tugs with it and not one stick is broken. We did cut the tag off of it to prevent him ripping it off and eating it. It is his buddy. A++++
Larger than expected. Was not expecting it to be as large as it is. I have a smallish-medium sized boxer and it’s a bit big for her to handle. That said, she loves it. Probably should have gotten a medium sized toy, but she’s not complaining so neither will I. Pretty well made. Not Kyjen quality, but still very much worth the money I had spent on it.

Cute. Smaller than I thought but it worked out for my small dog. Perfect size for him. Squeak isn’t too loud, so that’s nice. He will play with it for a long time flopping it around. Doesn’t last long but Fave toy. These don’t last long with our American Pit-bull Terrier, but it’s definitely his favorite toy. Probably bought more than twenty of these over the last couple of years. Buying on amazon saves a bunch over the pet store.
I buy a hedgehog for all my foster dogs. This particular toy has always been a favorite of all the dogs I care for. It is a good quality toy, dogs don’t tend to rip it so shreds, squeaker is not annoying, great value. I have bought several of these to go with the fur babies when they find their forever homes.
Favorite toy! Really cute. Our 2 young Standard Poodles love this brand of hedgehog! We love the cute honking noise. We have bought them in different sizes and always keep an extra around because eventually our dogs will bite a hole in them so we have to destuff them but they even carry them around when they are flat and noiseless! You can wash them in washer on gentle cycle and let air dry but usually they don’t “honk” after being put in the washer.
Good, but not great. This grunting porcupine dog toy is a little on the small side, about as tall as a can of soda.The squeaker and the grunter are very difficult to get any noise out of them; which kind of frustrates the dog.It held up for a while. But my Am staff tore it up to get at the squeak device.It’s a good toy but nothing to get excited about.
