AN ABSOLUTE GODSEND. OMG! These have probably saved my dogs life by doing it’s job ASAP! Since the day I got him as a pup, my Irish Wolfhound/ Poo mix has had ‘chronic runs’ with no obvious cause. The poor thing, it broke my heart to see him in obvious pain, struggling every time he went – which was a LOT! Used the excellent brand/ ingredient food the breeder had used to whelp them (she said she never had a problem), yet it was becoming a way of life for my poor boy. The vet was all but useless, except for torturing him with a hump back of IV fluids subcutaneously & all tests coming back negative. I tried switching to every other possible high quality/ ingredients brand (& not overpriced crap like Blue Buffalo or No Grain foods – incl those with cheap protein like peas,potatoes, legumes that are linked to Cardiomyopathy… a condition IWH are predisposed to). Absolutely NOTHING helped, when I found these overpriced on Chewy – then here on Amazon in a 5.5lb bag.Almost instantly, these dehydrated carrots worked like a miracle! Have been using them ever since, but now I can get away with preparing them w a little coconut oil & a small can of pumpkin (an old shower’s trick) & refrigerate til the next batch. I find that using hot water re-hydrates them much faster too! I have tried to go a day without them, but that chronic condition comes right back directly after feeding time. ARGH! Though NOW, I have resorted to making a big batch of food in a gal ziploc, where I mix dry kibble (not so easy to find, American Natural Premium) & the carrot/ pumpkin mixture & really knead the heck out of the bag to mix it thru well & then feed it to all 3 of my dogs – at every feeding.No more runs, tummy aches, boo boo’s in the house or constantly going like he did before, and it has certainly firmed up the other dogs waste too… much easier to clean up too!All I can say, is that I am incredibly grateful.to have found this product. Wouldn’t hurt to find it a little cheaper, or even find Olewo also make it here in the US, but I’m not about to look a gift horse in the mouth… this stuff just WORKS! and it works FAST!–‐-UPDATE—–Still working like a charm (& still mixing it in w a small can of pumpkin for the week’s supply/ refrig it in tupperware) BUT just ordered a 2.5LB bag & noticed a huge difference vs the Chewy’s 1LB bag & the 5.5LB bag here… Didn’t know any better until I saw the 2.5LB bag were actually ORANGE color like the adv pics – the other bags Ive been buying the past yr have been YELLOW! Still worked, but the ORANGE color bag seems to be fresher & when oil/ water added, they’re also NOT AS DRY – which is why I added pumpkin initially. Feed ALL 3 of my big dogs this mixed in w their (American Natural Premium) kibble & they love it. They actually wait for me to add their carrots before they will start eating! So weird! Even my cats have been sneaking the dog’s food when I’m not looking!
Lifechanging. This product is a godsend. We adopted an Australian cattle dog puppy 5 months ago, and in the early stages, I chalked her neverending mushy poop up to external factors like the stress of changing homes when we adopted her, or the medication from her spaying procedure. That only went so far. The lack of solid stool never ended. It was to the point of me being used to waking up to her crying at 3am because she needed to go outside and have diarrhea. I tried everything I could think of. Pumkin did nothing. Thought maybe it was sensitivty to her chicken based food, so we switched to the salmon and rice sensitive stomach Purina Pro Plan. That also did nothing aside from making her not want to eat, despite gradually implementing the new food (she eventually got used to it though). I was adding psyllium husk fiber to her food for a while, which would work occasionally, but still did not solve the problem. We tried adding Purina Fortiflora probiotics, also to no avail. At this point I was praying that the fecal test included in her vet plan would come back saying she had some sort of parasite, just so I’d have an answer. But nope, she was good. It wasn’t until a few days of adding these Olewo carrots to her food that she was FINALLY having consistent, perfectly solid poops. I never thought my emotional state could be so influenced by what was coming out of the butt of a little animal, but I was overjoyed. I read some testimonials similar to mine here before buying them, and I am pleased to report that the “always perfect poop” on the bag is not a lie. It’s very quick to prepare a big batch of the carrots and the bag itself lasts for quite a while.
Wonderful for pups with loose stool BUT always check contents for mold. This product came recommended from group where I adopted my dog. For as long as I’ve had him, the poor guy has had loose stool, almost daily. Tried a few other things prior, but Olewo was simply the easiest and most effective remedy. My pup has been using this product over a year–I just mix a few spoonfuls in a container with water and place it in the fridge to add to his food over the week.My one caveat–I decided to get a large bag on my last order and only opened it/noticed it had mold after the return by date. There’s a fine layer of green mold coating everything so you may not notice unless you pour some out and examine. Amazon is no help, though I suspect it became moldy in storage. What waste. Lesson learned, check each bag carefully!!
Amazing. This stuff is amazing! I have boxers. If you know the tummy issues of this breed you can imagine my excitement that this stuff is liquid gold! Even puppies can have a little bit of this. Whenever one of them gets diarrhea I make this stuff up and mix it in their food. It is amazing how quick it helps with that! I had a coworker that has a puppy and it had horrible, explosive diarrhea. I took a tablespoon into her, she gave her puppy some. The next day she told me she couldn’t believe how great it worked! No more late night cleaning from a mess! Ordered a bag that day! I highly recommend this stuff!!
Keeps the Doggie Poop Firm. Been using Olewo Original Carrots since our two golden doodles were puppies. We had discovered they had sensitive tummies and after eating their dried dog food were producing really yucky-yucky stools. Tried a few different things like mixing rice with their food, chicken breast pieces (which gets expensive), and even pumpkin. But the Olewo Carrots have worked the best of all. And the dogs still like it. We have cut back to just using it once per day and that dosage works but we can certainly tell when we miss a day. Picking up or collecting the firm stuff is a breeze. The oozy stuff? Yuck! We’re on the subscription plan so we don’t have to worry about running out.
Worked like a Miracle. We got a great dane puppy and he has had runny or very soft poop from the first day home. We tried everything including sprinkling metamucil on his food & changing the kibble brand and flavor. The vet even gave us probiotic meds and still nothing worked. Poor baby still had to go constantly and every night at 2am & again around 4-5 am leaving us all with little sleep. Read about Olewo carrots on a few great dane web sites and figured I’d give it a try. He liked them immediately and they have such a sweet carroty scent. I make a small bath each morning & mixe a few spoons in with his meals and by day 3 his runny poop went away. By about week he was going 100% normal. So relieved & happy with the results. Never would believe something natural like carrots could work so quickly & well.
No more diarrhea. My old Newfie has a very sensitive stomach. We have switched brands of dog food several times, eliminated certain foods from her diet, but this girl always had diarrhea. Maybe it was stress? Maybe it was old age? But see here, I used ‘was’ not is!These carrots pack a punch. They load her with fiber and vitamins and make her poops solid and wonderful. I am actually excited for my pup to poop now!She seems to love the taste. I haven’t tried but it doesn’t even smell bad so I am not hating.It takes so little to make so much, I use 2 tbsp with a touch of oil and about a cup of warm water and it really expands.Absolutely wonderful! Great for added bulk for your fur baby. I’ve bought this several times and my fur baby really loves it as a topper .He has pancreatitis so I feed him his food softened with warm water so this really helps firm up his stool.

Works absolutely great for our great dane. Our great dane has a sensitive stomach and can have loose or soft stool often. Once we started him on this product (after trying a ton of other things both from the vet and the pet stores including probiotics) he finally has consistent solid poop. We actually mix it with his daily dose of fish oil since it recommends using an oil with it, split it over his three meals, and he loves it. It also works fairly fast too so within a couple days we saw signs of improvement.
