Does what it’s made for. Extendable pole. The bad things first:- No instruction guide on how to assemble. I ended up tossing the 2 half-moon foams that I thought were padding for shipping protection. Turns out, they are an integral part of the picker to ensure fruit lands softly into the basket. Unfortunately, I already threw them away and will just have to line the basket with towels now. I only found out about the padding after looking at the product pictures again- Pole is not a telescoping kind. To shorten or lengthen, you unscrew to add or remove additional sectionsThe good things:- Basket works very well in picking fruit- Solidly made- Pole can be extended or shrunk by adding or removing sections. Pole can go very long to help reach even the tallest of fruit
Works well…when the basket stays on. I bought this to be able to stay off the ladder to pick oranges off my tree. It worked well as long as the basket stayed on the end of the pole—which it didn’t for long. Bottom line: pulling/tugging on fruit hard enough to get it off the tree also pulled the basket off the end of the pole. When it arrived, as I assembled it per the instructions, I had some concern about the way the basket is supposed to be attached to the end of the pole. The “neck” of the basket fits down over a SMOOTH plastic end cap of a pole extension piece, and is supposed to remain in place with one hand-tightened clamp. I wondered whether it was possible to tighten the basket down on this smooth plastic well enough to keep the basket from coming off, but tightened it as much as it was possible to do so. The first time I used it, the basket picked two oranges perfectly, and on the third attempt, the basket came off the pole and was left suspended ten feet up in the tree. Well, there goes the intent of staying off a ladder. I managed to get it down, reattached the basket, and tightened it down again, VERY HARD, onto the smooth plastic end of the pole as instructed, and tried again. As before, the basket came off the pole and was caught up in the tree, from where it had to be retrieved yet again. There’s just nothing to really keep it from doing that. The picker was shipped with two clamps, although the illustrations and the instructions for assembly show only one used. I looked to see whether both the clamps would fit in the location shown in the assembly illustration, and there is only room for one. OK, those were the negatives: 1) basket comes off, 2) basket gets stuck high up in tree 3) ladder gets dragged out anyway. The positive: 1) this works very well when it stays together. It’s going to stay together when I drill a hole through the end of the pole and put a bolt and fastener through it and the neck of the basket to hold the basket securely on. If I didn’t think that was possible, this would be going back tomorrow.UPDATE: instead of drilling a hole through the pole to hold the basket on the end of the pole, my husband suggested trying duct tape to give the clamp something to bite into. I split some duct tape into one-inch wide strips and wound several layers of it around the smooth plastic cap on the end of the pole, then put the basket back on over it and tightened the clamp down. Perfect! I’ve been picking oranges one after the other, tugging as much as needed, and the basket has stayed securely on the end of the pole. Simple solution that really worked. I’m happy!
Super helpful. I have peach and pear trees in my backyard and I use this a lot! It’s super easy to put together and use, It helped me pick 100 pounds of fruit this season (god help me, the peaches were out of control this year) and I love it. It is lightweight and simple to use. My one complaint is that the basket can become detached from pole and slide down the pole, o have not found a way to stop this from happening.
Amazing tool to reach your fruit. I have mango trees, and they get very high upWith this fruit picker it was a breeze, you can even fit up yo 3 in one shot depending on the size. Love it can wait till the next season is so easy just to ensamble the high you get it gets a little shaky but manageable, I definitely recommend, you’ll love it.

Great product for my plum tree. While a sectional pole is not as convenient as a telescoping one, I found it was not a big deal. Plus, once the crops were in, the whole kit stores in a very small bag. I found it to work very well on even the highest branch.
Nice Size and adjustability. We like the fact that it’s quite adaptable to our uses.
Overall, great for the price. The pole is a bit flimsy and the hose clamp end is super sharp. Lightweight and easy to assemble, but I put a solid gash in my thumb when tightening down the clamp. The clamp end was super sharp.Overall, It works great, but the rod is pretty flimsy. Takes practice, but am happy I can reach all the good oranges at the top of my tree.
Works great. The basket is bigger than I thought it would be and that’s a great thing. The extension screw-on pieces of the handle works great and the entire pole is long enough to reach all the mangoes at the top of my tree. Easy to assemble and disassemble. All pieces fit in a pouch for easy storage. Quality material, that will last a long time, providing you keep it out of the elements. Great value for your money.
May be one of the best. This picker has many ~18 inch sections that thread together to make up a very long pole for picking fruit. I went to my local Menards to look at one that only had to sections and about 6-8 feet of reach – that was junk. This one is much better. However, the optimal basket size is unknown. I was picking pears and most of the big ones fell to the ground – not ideal, but at least I was able to get them off the tree!

Really useful, good quality. Functionality:Very useful for picking mangos so they don’t fall off the tree and split open. This has a foam pad for the mangos to land on and hooks at the top to help pull the fruit. Works great and the length is great for our tree. The wire basket and handle are good quality.
Works exactly how you expect it to. Extends so we can pick the peaches and pears the tops of our fruit trees! It was amazing and so easy!
