After doing some comparisons and tests. I absolutely live with eyeliner on every single moment of the day. However, I have very oily eyelids and majority of eyeliners fail to last or stay put on my lids. So I require a very waterproof and smudgeproof formula to at least look good majority of the day before my oils decide to ruin it.My preferences for my eyeliners are a opaque black with a brush tip. As opaque and fluid felt tip eyeliners are, they are hard to control around my hooded eyes and sometimes end up becoming dried out even though I’ve only used the eyeliner a couple times.I’ve compared this NYX eyeliner against some of my favorites or some well known brands: Maybelline’s Hyper Easy, MACQUEEN’s Waterproof, EM Cosmetic’s Illustrative, Heroine Make Smooth Liquid, Eyeko Black Magic, and KVD’s Tattoo Liner.I put each of these up against 4 tests, which I’ve illustrated in my pictures. Maybelline’s new eyeliner held up moderately well, and it’s the only formula I’ve ever found to dry down matte and be this resistant. Of course, my favorite Asian eyeliners from MACQUEEN and Heroine Make are super waterproof and budget roof. Eyeko is also a favorite Asian brand that lasts moderately well. EM Cosmetics did not claim to be waterproof, just resistant, so I’ve allowed that to slide. I’ve never liked KVD’s formula for my lids, so I’m not surprised that it didn’t last.In comparison to those, NYX’s formula isn’t horrible and would work beautifully for most people, but it definitely can’t last through my mighty eyelids. HOWEVER, I absolutely love how opaque the formula is in one swipe and how fluid and even it is. Makes it really easy to do graphic liners! It is also great for creating quick and easy wings (with a precise hand of course since it’s so pigmented).I am going to continue using this with a primer or powder because I am enjoying the pigment! If you don’t have crazy oily eyelids and would love a dark and even application with a brush tip eyeliner, I would highly recommend this eyeliner! And even if you do have lids like me, I’m sure one could make it work with some preparation!
Holy Grail Eyeliner. Who has tried literally every liquid liner on the planet? THIS GIRL. I was shocked when someone at Ulta recommended this product over a more expensive one and it worked 10x better. It glides on very pigmented, can be as thick or thin as you like and no skipping or bleeding. If the product does bleed, you can just gently wipe the brush with a tissue because too much liner may have come out. I love the brown color because it’s not as a bold for a soft daytime look but I absolutely LOVE both. It’s worth it and it will save you so much $$! Thanks NYX!
Love This Liner. I got this liner because it said it was waterproof, and they are not kidding! My eyes are sensitive to UV rays, and will sometimes water. I have had many a black eye thanks to tears hitting my eyeliner and making it smear everywhere. This stuff is great! It never smears with the tears, yet comes off easily with eye makeup remover. I love the brush for application. I can easily get super skinny lines, or wide lines just by changing the pressure as I’m applying the liner. Then it dries quickly for an all day wear. I stopped looking for the perfect eyeliner when I found this one!
Easy to apply and stays put. I spent years intimidated by liquid eyeliners. I thought you had to be a professional makeup artist to be able to figure out how to use them and have it look good, but this eyeliner pen from NYX was a game changer. The angled tip means I can make the line as thin or thick as I choose, and once dry it stays put even during a hot day at Disneyland or a workout. It comes off easily with makeup remover or cleanser but make sure you replace every 3 months like your other eye makeup! Since it’s so reasonably priced that’s very easy to do, and Amazon subscribe and save means it just shows up every 3 months and I swap them out without having to remember.
The only eyeliner i will ever need. This is it. This is like the IT eyeliner. The formula is perfect, the brush is perfect, its amazing and the only eyeliner i will ever use. Its heavily pigmented and doesnt get rubbed off or sweated off easily, however you don’t have to super rub your eyes to get rid of it when washing your face. I have had 0 eye or skin irritations using it as well
Is actually waterproof. This liner has a super fine tip, leaves a lovely sharp edge and IS actually water proof. I have watery eyes and most liquid liners that claim to be water proof start running within an hour but his will stay put all day without smudges or running.

The BEST Liquid Eyeliner. I love this liquid eyeliner!It goes on smoothly, isn’t messy and makes a sharp winged line with easy application.For myself personally, I would call it a long-lasting eyeliner.When I wear it, I don’t notice any smudging or budging until about 8-10 hours later and then if I happen to touch the corner of my eye, the wing may disappear, but that’s still long lasting in my opinion.Others may not call that long-lasting or smudge proof, so I gave those categories 4 stars out of 5.It’s still my go to eyeliner and makes me feel like a baddie

Favorite Liquid Eyeliner. I was using stila liquid eyeliner religiously. But like all greedy company’s looking to save a buck, they changed the manufacturer and the formula. I noticed and went online to read reviews, sure enough they noticed too. This has been a great replacement. Used while on 98 degree weather in Cancun while in ocean, pools, and zenotes. Eye liner still in place, no smudging or flaking. Easy to apply thin line and add on for a thicker look. It does not feel good if you get it into the eye but it’s also not burning it to the point of chemical burn. The tip applicator keeps it’s shape, does not get frayed or dried out. Pen seems to last forever too. Been using for the at least the last 3-4 years.
My Eyeliner Go-To. I love this eyeliner! I’ve used this same exact one for at least 2 years. It’s sharp, the brush tip is juicy, and it lasts a good while.I will say, if you’re looking for an eyeliner that is 100% waterproof and 100% smudge proof, DO NOT BUY THIS PEN. I personally love that it’s not waterproof because it’s easy to remove with my makeup eraser and water. It can survive very light smudging and a tiny bit of humidity/water, but it WILL come off with a nice good eye rub, or if you have watery eyes and you apply it near the corners of your eyes.FYI: It has a slight reflection/shininess, so it’s not fully matte. (Would love if it was)Overall it’s easy to use and it can last me a whole day.
Pretty Good. I thought it was gonna be a lot better just from all the good things I’ve heard about it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice eyeliner, but it definitely could be better.

THE BEST for Hooded Eyes. I used to never do eyeliner because I have hooded eyes and all the eyeliner Ive tried the application has been so weird and would transfer to my eyelid until I found this eyeliner about a year and a half ago. I will never go to any other eyeliner ever again. The application is smooth and It lasts me all day. I will say after a long time the cap snaps onto the pen weird and the bristles will fray but I usually just cut them and I’ve had no issues. This eyeliner is fantastic and I would 110% recommend this eyeliner to all my hooded eye homies.
Best eyeliner ever. Love the dark brown option. Rich dark brown. Goes on so easily. Had to try out liquid eyeliners because of arm surgery and this was superior to any. Doesn’t smudge on my oily skin. No racoon eyes. Tube lasts a good amount of time. Price point is the best too. Will never turn back to old brands.

good drugstore eyeliner. Overall a great eyeliner for the price. The color is solid and application is smooth and easy. The only downside is that the product seems to run out faster than expected, the ends of the bristles get easily frayed even when carefully capped after each use, and smudges when worn the whole day. I think this would be a good eyeliner for beginners.

Better than KVD Tattoo Liner. I SWEAR by this eyeliner. I’ve tested a bunch of high end liquid liners from Sephora, Korean makeup ones and cheaper ones from drug stores but I always go back to this NYX one. I’ve been buying it for years. It applies so easily and accurately and does not smudge!! I have oily eye lids so this is especially important for me. It also lasts a long time – I love KVD Tattoo liner but feel like the product runs out so quickly. It glides easily and also dries quickly. It barely budges throughout the day for me.
