Great dog food. We have always fed this brand to our dogs, and they all live to old age with minimal health problems. We lost one of our dogs a few years ago, and he was a medium-size dog that was just shy of 18 years old. He never had any health issues until the he developed cancer, which took him quickly. Now, we feed it to our little dogs, and they are all quite healthy. (Of course, we don’t feed them human food or junky snacks either.) We usually feed them dry food, but we feed this wet variety to our extremely old chihuahua who lost some teeth because this is easier for her to eat than the dry variety. However, I recommend both the dry and the wet. It’s a little pricey. However, in my opinion, you are going to save a lot of money on vet bills if you feed them right, and your dogs are going to be a lot healthier and happier!
Hopefully this one was just a dud. I hope this gets to Mars/Nutro because someone messed up somewhere and it’s not an Amazon issue. I’ve been using Nutro products for years and always been satisfied with them, and my dogs really like this beef stew. But when I opened a can tonight it was covered with a greyish, gelatinous substance, nothing like the usual. It didn’t smell bad, there was nothing obviously wrong with the can. I emptied it into a plastic bag and the whole can was filled with this stuff! This was from a pack of a dozen, all of the same lot number (238F2R8D01) that doesn’t expire until 9/24. Looks like somehow in the canning process leftover by-products got scooped into the stew cans. It would be interesting to know if anyone else got one of these. I’ll certainly let Mars Pet Products know if I get another one.5 days later and I just opened another dud – this one filled with a viscous liquid that contained 5 little pieces of meat and one pea. Price of dog food these days I guess I’ll request a refund.
A bit runny but good flavor. My dog loves this flavor but it it just very runny & makes a mess on his face. Soooo we mix it down a bit with another flavor that’s not a stew. & he loves it.
Lowest calorie canned I’ve found. I’ve been feeding this to my chihuahua mixes for years. I use about 1/3 of this with 2/3 dry. This is the lowest calorie wet food I’ve found, and I read every label. My one mix tends to get chubby easily so I wanted low calorie so I have room in her daily diet for her treats too. I add a little water to get a bit of gravy. They love this. My only complaint is that they have decreased the amount of carrots and peas over the years. Actually now I see zero carrots and only a couple peas per can. What’s up with that?

Jack loves this food. My handsome lab Jack loves this food! I started with the beef flavor, and he loved it. Nutro is his new favorite! I used to feed a beautiful German Sheppard I had this food and she had a long, happy life! I bought this with my own money, and this is an honest review. Thanks! God Bless!EDIT: I ordered a second case because he likes it so much! I alternate between the chicken and beef so he has a little variety. Plus some healthy snacks in between.
Much cheaper option. My local stores only carry the little 3-4 oz foil packs of this food. The cans are only available for me online. This is a cost savings for me.
Great product now very overpriced. I loved this order and so did my dog. I went to buy another case today and the price has increased from $27 dollars to $38 dollars. I will never buy Nutro again because it’s no longer affordable.
