Sensational Whole Food Based Supplement. Taking into consideration that there is no single Perfect supplement for any creature – human or otherwise, Nupro has much to be proud of. Unlike many other supplements Nupro is manufactured here in the United States from first quality sources. Recent findings that Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer.Who has sourced out the manufacturing of Pet-Tabs to India, along with the newly published report by Consumer labs that levels of lead approaching the toxic zone have been discovered.Nupro is based on a whole food concept. You very well could feed your dog nothing but Nupro and expect most nutritional needs to be met. However specific proteins and essential vitamins and trace minerals would be missed.I mention this only to re enforce that although Nupro isn’t a replacement for a healthy diet – it can enhance what ever food you are currently feeding your pooch. As a dog lover who has never been without a dog or three for 50 plus years. I have been making my own dog food for over thirty.Long before the was an Internet I was teaching myself all I could about canine nutrition. My self education continues – and I remain highly suspect of any commercial dog food.Especially if you consider that out of literally thousands of brands and sub brands – there are a mere 14 considered safe and healthy. Since the founding of Nupro some 25 years ago there has never been a single instance of a recall, tainted ingredient or other unfortunate mishap.Using palatable desiccated (powdered) liver as a base Nupro adds the following:1) Kelp – rich in trace minerals and iodine Kelp is proven to improve glandular functions and provide a rich source of natural vitamins A, B1, B2, C, and E.2) Amino Acids and Enzymes – proven to strengthen the immune system in dogs and humans.3) Flax Seed – Great source of Omega 3 Fats. Unlike fish oils no smell and what is more, no chance of mercury.4) Lecithin – long applauded for it’s effect on brain, nerve and healthy liver function.5) Allicin (highly condensed garlic oil) Proven to fight cardiovascular disease. A powerhouse of anti oxidants.6) Lactobacillus Acidophilus – Helps regulate the digestive system, reduces gas, bloating and stomach upset. Can compliment the use of whole fat yogurt for those who use it.Nupro is in powdered form and does not need to be refrigerated. Over the past year, I have exchanged emails with founder and she is eager to answer any questions and support any claims with factual studies and information. My only real concern with Nupro is that I believe the initial dose recommendations are far too excessive. The company would benefit by adding label information addressed to those dogs with sensitive stomachs and or digestive problems. But common sense should prevail. Never overload a new ingredient to any dogs diet. Acclimation should be reduced to the smallest denominator.Rather than one large scoop (included) I would advise a teaspoon at most for dogs over 50 lbs and significantly less for smaller dogs. For finicky eaters Nupro can be mixed with a little warm water to make a gravy – and who doesn’t like gravy?By adding Nupro to your dogs diet you can expect to see:1) Dramatic improvement in the coat. More shine and less shedding.2) Less stomach upset3) Firmer stools4) Higher balanced behavior and more energy5) Improved breathNupro is an excellent time proven product.Used conservatively in the beginning both you and your beloved pooch and or pooches should experience an overall improvement in many areas of your dogs overall health and well being.

Great Stuff So Far. I have 1 yr old pit and he’s a picky eater. But I introduced this stuff to him VERY slowly – I’d sprinkle just a PINCH of it onto his whole bowl of food (which I cook for him also); At first he wouldn’t eat that. But they can be stubborn. So I took away his food bowl and it put it down at the next meal time. He reluctantly ate it – but once he started eating it he ate the whole bowl of food. Did this for a few days and added a tiny bit more of the powder each time. So, now he’s eating this food with maybe two teaspoons of this stuff sprinkled onto it.HOWEVER, interesting to note is that I tried to just give him the gravy by mixing it in warm water – he licked the dish clean when it’s just the gravy!! So for some reason he loves it as gravy form by itself but not on his food. I’ve only been trying this stuff for two weeks now and hopefully he’ll start liking the gravy on his food. But even if he doesn’t I can just feed him his regular meal and then give him the gravy afterwards!! I hope in a few weeks time I can see the diff in his coat.**EDIT**It’s been about 2 months now and I’ve been using about half a scoop to a full scoop per day in his meals and it’s made a very discernible difference in his health. He’s always been healthy but his coat is much softer and shinier and I’ve been getting compliments on it! I’m only halfway through the Jar. Excellent product and I’m going to order more :D! One more thing: Since starting him on NUPRO, I’ve gotten him neutered, he’s torn a dew claw, and he’s had an eye infection (from a cut while playing with another dog); All of these things healed perfectly in no time at all with no complications and I really think NUPRO helped with that.
Very good results. My poor dog has spent her life scratching herself half to death while meanwhile I’ve spent the same amount of time, 13 years, looking for the cause. I’ve tried every “healthy” kibble on the market and none of them make any difference. Vets have claimed allergies to grass, etc. and not food but I was pretty sure it was from her food. So I started feeding her two home cooked ingredients, meat and sweet potato, and after about 6 or 7 months, lo and behold, her skin is a normal color and not flaming red, and the really good news is she’s stopped scratching!!! And she seems to be feeling better than ever! The vet said I needed a supplement because this food would not be enough nutrition for her. I had noticed her fur was not shiny any more and seemed dry and lackluster. So I shopped around and found the Nutri-Pet and took a chance. She liked it a lot more at first than she did after awhile. I followed the instructions of giving her more at first and less later on so that helped. I only give it to her 4-5 times (meals) a week and that seems to be enough. I also don’t put it right on her food. I mix it with a little water just enough so it’s not a powder anymore. You can use cool or warm, same result, and put it in her bowl next to her food. She seems to like it much better that way. I tried putting it in a separate bowl but then she wouldn’t touch it. If it’s in her bowl along with her food she’ll eat it. If it’s right on her food, she won’t, and she’ll look up at me like, “Really?? You actually expect me to eat this??” Pretty funny! The vet also said she needs extra calcium so I also use a powdered calcium supplement and that might be cutting the strong flavor of the Nutri-Pet even more because with that in it she eats it right down without hesitating at all. This is a dog who refuses to eat salmon oil so she’s kind of picky. If your dog is experiencing loose stools or gastric upset it’s probably because you’re giving them too much too fast. Instead of assuming the product is bad for them and then giving it a bad review, try giving them less and increasing it very slowly. It’s possible that ANY change in a dog’s diet can upset their system, unless it’s done in small increments.I believe this is one of the healthiest supplements out there and I’m confident it’s helping her. She seems even more lively and even healthier. Her coat is definitely a lot healthier. Some of the unhappy reviewers only gave their pet two or three weeks and then were dissatisfied with the results. It took a couple of months to see any significant change in my dog so it’s not magical and it won’t happen over night.

This stuff works. I had read many reviews on this and researched other supplements before purchasing this. I purchased two 30oz containers to try as I had read a review stating they didn’t see any results till after the second canister was near completion. First about our dog and why we wanted to try a supplement. We have a twelve year old Beagle. Almost two years ago he started having problems with his hips. Vet said he has mild arthritis in his hips due to his age. He stopped jumping on the couch to sit with us. He had to be picked up when he wanted on the couch. He would hurt himself going up and down stairs and would limp after. About six months ago he started to scratch himself and as the days went his scratching gradually increased. It got to the point he was licking and chewing on himself. Also his coat did not have the softness and shine it use to have. Back to the vet, says his skin is very dry and he is probably having a reaction to something in our house. The vet would give us this or that and nothing helped is just masked his problems. So, we ordered Nupro and put in 1/2 cup with the included scoop with his food twice a day. I want to say we didn’t notice any change in him till right at the end of the 30oz container. He was itching less and at times would jump up on the couch on his own. Not all the time but we where helping him up less. He was no longer in pain after going up and down the stairs to go outside. By the end of the second container we where no longer helping him on the couch. He has no problems jumping up and down on it and is now running up and down the stairs when he goes out and comes in. Unless the grass is wet he hates to get his paws wet. I know some hunting dog we have. As for the itching, we have not seen him scratching himself like he was. He no longer licks and chews on himself. His coat is softer and has the shine back. One other thing he does that he never did, he tries to get into his dog food and has figured out how to open the dry storage container. So now it has to be locked up. Guess he really likes this stuff. A couple things about this product others have complained about that I will agree with but I am ok with. It did change the color of his whiskers but an off colored whisker or two for a healthy dog is a great trade off. Also you can smell his breath from 20 feet after he eats the supplement. Again I am fine with that. I am just glad he is feeling so much better. If you are on the fence about this I say give it a try but give it time. If it doesn’t work for you just don’t buy it again. But after our two 30oz containers 1/2 through the second and seen the change I ordered this 5lb container and will be buying it from now on.
NuPro has two versions, one is more focused on joint health but both have worked noticeably on all of the dogs we’ve had in our lives. The glucosamine element stays in their system longer than a pill would and the two larger gigs we had definitely benefitted from NuPro.

Excellent but…. Love this product but the cost is so high for me to sustain for my 3 dogs. I just can’t afford it
THE BEST. I have consistently been giving this to my pup since he was a few months old and he is the healthiest prettiest boy. He gets complimented all the time on how pretty he is. He also hasn’t had any gut or other health issues so I attribute it to this!
tuot iying rt llitS. MY,Dog lILk it & the cats like it so I’m trying it out and see what happens.

Pricey. Pretty pricey, but my lab loves it! Only have used it for a month so haven’t noticed if his health is improving. there’s nothing wrong with him, labs are pretty laid back & he is a senior!
Dogs love it. Excellent product.
My Rottweilers love this gravy. My Rottweilers love this gravy, use only a scoop per meal and add warm water, the dogs eat every bit of their food. They even lick the bowl. Careful they’ll get spoiled and won’t eat anything without it. Their looking very healthy these days, I love this product.
Great product. Great product. Use it as a topper for my dogs raw dog food
Great value. Nice big container and will last awhile. Dogs seem to enjoy it and don’t hesitate to eat. Seems like a great supplement.
Visible improvement in senior dogs health. Within one week we noticed shinier coats, less dry skin and scratching, cleaner teeth, and a happier more playful pair of large senior dogs. Excellent product. They absolutely love the taste and are visibly disappointed on days I don’t have time to add it to their breakfast.
NuPro is the Best. I’ve been using NuPro for years and I truly believe that it prolongs the life of your dog. My dogs live 1 to 2 some cases 3 years longer than the average. It also makes their coat healthy.
