  1. I’m impressed and recommend unless you need more height. First, it is probably important to know that I am transitioning from an old Samsung Convection Toaster Oven to this and I have only been using this for two weeks.I looked at other options but they seemed huge (in size). One of the complaints I have read about the Ninja SP101 is that it is smaller. It is. It is good sized in depth and width but lacks (for some) in height. For me, that works but even when I made a good sized amount of nachos I had to press it down a bit so it didn’t get too near the heating element. I am single and cook for 1-2 people and this is ideal. It takes up a bit larger footprint than my ancient Samsung but is lower profile. I don’t mind the lower profile (I prefer it) and unless you are wanting to cook multiple items or any foods that are higher vertical then this is fine. It also looks good sitting on my counter.PROS:I like the controls and after a short learning curve is pretty simple to use. This pre-heats up quickly and cooks fast. The first item I cooked was frozen fries and used the Air Fryer. The fries were crisp and tasty. I was very happy with this.I toasted bread and bagels and it seemed to toast fairly uniformly taking a bit longer that I thought it would considering how powerful this oven is. I’m good with this.I used Air Broil to make nachos and it was perfect and quick!I used Bake to make some cookies and used parchment paper and it worked well.I ordered the casserole dish, thinking the higher sides would help prevent messes. Last night I cooked a wok dinner with tofu cubes, peppers, onions, noodles (boiled first), carrots, broccoli, celery and cashews with a teriyaki marinade. OMG, this was so good and no messes and the new casserole dish is non stick and although lighter and most likely cheaper (in quality), I prefer using this to the pan that came with the oven. Dinner was delicious!I have not used Dehydrate and Keep Warm functions yet.The light is a nice feature.CONS:During Air Fry the left front corner seems to cook hotter and burnt the edges of my french fries in this corner. The fries (in just this corner) were still edible just blackened.I have read that some customers thought the oven was difficult to clean. The sheet pan included with the oven is heavier than the casserole dish I later purchased but it seems more difficult to clean, as I had to make a few attempts to remove cheese. The surface is not smooth and has small bumps on it that concern me, but really not with reason as of yet. My main focus is to keep the oven clean and prevent splattering and boil overs as the heating elements are exposed and I feel are vulnerable. I will be using parchment paper and using the casserole dish more than the sheet pan. I have not made pizza yet but my concern here is that if I set the pizza on the rack there is nothing below it to catch any potential mess and can fall on the heating elements. There is the crumb tray but that is below the heating element. My initial thought was to place the cooking sheet under the wire rack but the sheet (and casserole dish) are designed to sit on top of the rack and don’t use the grooves on the sides to support itself. I tested out putting the crumb tray directly under the wire rack and it does fit so this would protect the heating element but if I’m going to do this, I probably should just use the cooking sheet pan instead. I have often considered putting a silicone baking sheet under the wire rack to catch any drippings or mess but, again, does this defeat the open cooking of using the wire rack? I’d prefer to cook a pizza in a pan rather than drip on the heating element as my biggest concern (from other reviews) was that once it drips on the element it is nearly impossible to clean. Right now I am operating under the delusion of keeping the SP101 new but this is not practical (for any oven). It would be nice if the tray was spring loaded and would come out when the door was opened. You must manually pull out the tray or wire rack to remove from oven so you really need to have oven mitts at the ready to even add ingredients. My Air Fry Basket has a minor defect in the middle of it but is minor.Other:I don’t use the flip feature as I’m OK with its footprint and as I said earlier, it looks good sitting on the counter. But the flip feature does work well and if you are interested in this feature it seems worthwhile.I have been pulling the oven out when I use it to keep the cord away from the oven and giving it more space to ventilate. I have a plastic can opener mounted above where I use the oven. Even after a 450 degree cooking the can opener is warm to the touch but does not get too hot. The sides of the oven don’t get overly hot (but the glass does). This seems well built and I probably don’t need to pull it out but will continue to do so.I don’t think I will ever have a reason to use my regular oven again. This oven is big enough (for my cooking needs) and this oven pre-heats so much faster than my big oven, cooks more evenly and is more convenient. I am going to give my big oven a good cleaning and know it will stay clean as I probably won’t use it again. This oven is a good air fryer and I am impressed with the results, but I have never had an air fryer before. All the other functions seem really good. The wire rack and sheet pan are sturdy but I wish the sheet pan could support itself using the rails like how the air fry basket does. The air fry basket is flexible but still sturdy and mine had a minor defect. The crumb try is fine. I really like the added casserole tray. I would highly recommend this product unless you need or want the extra height of the Cuisinart TOA60. The Cuisinart, after reading reviews, was my first pick but after looking at the overall footprint, I decided against it. I am happy with the size and performance of the Ninja SP101.I will update this only if I have some issue with the oven.

Love this thing. Only have had this for a bit over a month. So far very happy with it. This replaced a medium sized tabletop convection oven/toaster and using for “frying” instead of a micro/convection/air fryer combo and an oil deep fryer.PROS:++Very good with frozen foods like French fries etc++Large capacity air fryer basket. Especially helpful when doing large number of items since a deep fryer may only take a few minutes to fry something when this might take 20.++Great for spur of the moment cravings for French fries or tator tots without having to pull out deep fryer, fill with oil, wait for it to heat up, fry, then clean up, strain oil, etc++Does a good job with toasting- not the best with evenness but perfectly acceptable. I mainly eat sliced rounds of sourdough bread, so much larger than “regular” bread so they will not fit in a pop up type toaster. It definitely does a better faster job of toasting than the convection/toaster oven it replaced.++Love the temperature probe. I even took a chance on cooking thick ribeye steaks in it. Used the sear tray and turned the steaks over half way through cooking. Put the temp probe in the steak before starting and the oven turned itself off at the correct temperature and after letting the steaks rest as usual after cooking, they came out perfectly medium rare with a decent crust on the outside. Though not quite as good as a cast iron pan or a grill they came out great. Also the temp probe temperature matched my instant read thermometer.++Love that it has an oven light that you can turn on and see what’s going on inside. Especially helpful to me when doing toast. As I haven’t yet gotten used to the proper setting (time) for toasting++Like that it will store upright to free up counter space. I just put the three trays inside then fold it up. I hadn’t realized how much space that the oven it replaced took up.CONS:—Made fried chicken. I like chicken thighs so they have a lot of fat in them. I breaded them as usual and did two batches. I used the temp probe which was very helpful but the chicken only came out so so. It was edible but no where near what deep frying in oil would do. Chicken itself was cooked and juicy but the breading had much to be desired. Biggest issue is that there is nowhere for the fat and juices to go except drop onto the lower heating elements and bottom pull out ‘crumb tray’— It is not easy to clean. After doing chicken and the steaks trying to clean the inside was a frustrating time consuming effort. After I had done the chicken, I cleaned it as well as I could then ended up running the oven at 500 degrees for about an hour to burn off the residue remaining. Filled the house with smoke but got most of the residue out. Still see ‘stains’ where stuff/fat had splattered.— The glass in the door is inset so when you pull out the fry basket or toast, the crumbs just fall into the deep set window, it’s like a pool that just catches everything.OVERALL:I am really happy I purchased this. The large capacity, toasting and to my surprise -when cooking two steaks that were almost $60- cooks steaks satisfactory++ though not as good as a grill. The temp probe accurately shuts down the oven when cooking. Do have to obviously adjust cooking time with prepared frozen foods/French fries etc due to freezer temperature. The freezer in my refrigerator is at about 28 degrees while my deep freezer sits at about -5 degrees. Does a good job at toasting bread. Folds up to save on counter space. Without being too picky about it since still on a learning curve on how to use it… biggest problem is it is not easy to clean, the deep set window in the door that catches every darn crumb and no ‘drip tray’ to catch juices from air fryer basket. Overall impression of frying.. it’s great at prepared foods from freezer section at grocery store, it does take longer than deep frying in oil but less mess (French fries, etc) But for fresh made things like fried chicken, I’m going to have to use my Dutch oven on the stove to deep fry instead of using the air fryer, especially since I already gave my deep fryer away.

Muuuuy bueno, lo compre en promoción pero es muy bueno

  4. Used way more than my oven. I have had this little air fryer for 4 years now and I use it nearly daily. As someone who’s kids have left home, I don’t want to heat up the big oven for a single dish and that’s where this little appliance shines.I discovered that cooking a 1.5″ steak from frozen to medium-rare takes me 38 minutes at 275F, start to finish, in this air fryer, and produces a juicy, perfectly cooked steak. It re-heats pizza and homemade, frozen fried chicken both to near-fresh crispness. It does a good job with English muffins to a medium toast. I’m not sure how well it would actually toast 9 slices of bread like in the commercials, but it browns smaller amounts of baked goods evenly.Storage is fairly easy – it flips upright and fits under most upper cupboards so you can push it back against the wall and clear up counter space. The downside? It’s a pain to clean and its low profile means that you cannot put tall foods in it. For example, you cannot heat up a ramekin with mac & cheese as it is too tall to fit on the rack. And you HAVE to use at least the bottom rack, which is a third of the way from the bottom of the oven, so it makes a narrow space even more constricted. If you bake a lot of store-bought frozen pizzas, then this is the perfect appliance. If you want to use it as a smaller oven, then there are better options out there. That being said, I use mine almost daily and for the things that will fit into it, it does a good job.

  5. Nice but has some flaws. Our old air fryer died so we decided to try this one. I love all the functionality BUT it has a few big flaws. For one, the bottom elements are not covered. They have a heavy mesh guard above them but anything drippy goes right onto them. I worry this will shorten the lifespan. Another thing is the bottom tray. It is metal so things bake onto it in about a heartbeat and it is difficult to clean. I tried some liners that were supposed to be rated for this unit but they melted on the first use. One other thing is the wire basket that is included. Ours appears to be starting to rust already. But, the biggy is the fan. Ours started making a loud noise after just a few months. I called the manufacturer and they just shipped us a whole new unit (minus accessories) but I’m worried the replacement won’t last either. Other than that, we use the heck out of this thing. I’ve done bacon on the griddle multiple times, used it for french fries, the toaster function works well, it is also fantastic for reheating leftovers. I’ve also used it for biscuits. I would say we use it almost every day for something.

  6. love our Ninja oven. This is our second Ninja oven. The first, I tried to wash, and it killed the Ninja. I guess I got water in the electric works. However – this new oven has instructions to do exactly what I did to clean it. So — maybe this new version is different? Also — the description for this specific oven is incorrect. In the earlier versions, you can push on a button and the bottom will drop down for easy cleaning. The bottom is fixed for this version. There is button/no way to get the bottom to drop.

  7. Fantastic space saver. I am currently on day 2 of owning this thing so, really, consider this a first impressions review.Firstly, the main draw: The flip-up feature. This really is a game changer and was chief amongst my reasons to buy this particular oven. I am happy to report that this feature works very well and gains me back a good amount of countertop space. It fits like a GLOVE flipped away under my wall cabinets. If you have low hanging wall cabinets, however, you’d do well to take a measure before purchasing to ensure you have access to this feature. This is what sets it apart from other products IMO.Secondly: The power cord. Its bad. Specifically, when plugged in, the power cord extends straight out from the wall and I think the manufacturer absolutely, positively should have opted for a low profile plug-in, especially since this is designed to flip-up to stow away. This is a serious negative as you’re not able to place this in front of the power socket its plugged into without the front of the oven protruding past the countertop and nearly falling off. If you have a very small kitchen, take a moment to be sure you’ll have adequate room. Finally, the real test: Cooking. So far, I have only reheated refrigerated pizza and air-fried some cheese sticks. To that end, this thing is a beast. The controls were easy enough to figure out without needing the manual. It has a great pre-heat feature which only starts running the timer after it gets to temperature, which is FAST. When set to 450F, pre-heating was less than 2 minutes. I was impressed. The food came out exactly as I hoped. They aren’t kidding though, watch your food carefully when you first get it. Use the light. It can quickly burn your food if you’re not familiar with convection and don’t understand the lower cook times. My only other negative is theoretical: Cleaning. I don’t think it will be TOO difficult, as the bottom tray is easy to lift out, but if you DON’T clean regularly I can easily see crumbs and debris piling up in the back when the oven is flipped up. I think the solution is probably just being proactive with cleaning it. For the lazy, maybe avoid this one.Overall impressions are very very good and, at the time I’m writing this, I’m not mad at the $170 sale price either. Go, Ninja, Go.

  8. En general la marca es de buena calidad y en particular este modelo funciona muy bien, que este en posición horizontal me funciona mejor. en cuanto al funcionamiento muy bien los resultados son muy buenos.

  9. Cooks fast and space saving. This was an upgrade from our old air fryer that didn’t hold a lot of food. Before, our air fryer would have a basket that would become scraped when cleaning with any abrasive material. (I know must appliances warn you not to, but how else would you clean it?) I’d worry that it would affect our food. With the Ninja, the pans are easy to clean with a Scrub Daddy. Just be sure to not let it sit in water long after use, and clean while it’s fairly hot, otherwise the pan loses some color. This issue maybe be user error 🙂 …. The Ninja is a lot faster, has several functions ( including toasting for bread that lets you select the darkness level), holds a good amount of food, and saves space with the flip up function. I also enjoy how the color matches the other amenities in our kitchen like our microwave and oven, so it fits in perfectly. When we moved to our new apartment, I wanted to get rid of our old (faithful) toaster oven and the air fryer that took up a lot of space, and find a 2-in-1 that would function the way we needed. The Ninja was a great option! The only thing I don’t like about this item is that it’s very limiting when you want to cook two foods at once. When using the top rack, whatever food you cook must be flat. One time I wanted to make broccoli with my chicken wings, and the broccoli prevented me from inserting the top rack due to their height. If it were fries, cool, but items that sticks up slightly makes it harder to cook family sized meals. Other than that, great product!
