UPDATE: Most Valued Item in My Kitchen. UPDATED AFTER 6 WEEKS OF USE:This has become the most valued item in my kitchen. I’ve enjoyed immense benefit from using this to replace my use of the oven. In the past six weeks I’ve used my oven only twice, to cook a pizza. Everything that comes out of this Foodi is hands down better than it ever was in the oven. I use it on average about 4 times a week for meals. I use both baskets 80% of the time. When I use both baskets, I use the smart finish feature about 75% of the time. No preheat necessary. I found that I can mostly guess the right time for things that don’t have air fryer instructions, it’s that easy going of an appliance, and it’s that hard to mess up! The crisper plates are great for letting grease fall and so things come out tastier and not soggy.An added bonus for me is that it’s super easy to clean! Both baskets fit into the top shelf of my dishwasher and the crisper plates go at the bottom. It’s non stick and comes out very clean in dishwasher. (Note: I do not use the heated air dry, but it sounds like it would work with heated dry on.) As of yet, I have not had to clean the compartments the baskets go into, they seem to remain very clean to the touch. I use the top to place whatever utensil I am using to grab things out during cooking, and then I wipe down the top. The top does not get hot at all.Even though it only goes up to 400 degrees (for everything except air broil, which goes up to 450, on one basket at a time, not both at a time), I find that I don’t need higher than that for things that call for 425 or 450 degrees. 400 works for everything so far. I just add a few minutes.My favorite thing to cook so far: air broil at 400 frozen burger patties, no need to thaw. basket 2: curly fries. Both are done at 14 minutes, flipping the patties over halfway through. Easiest 15 minute 2 burgers half basket of fries dinner ever!ORIGINAL REVIEW:This is my first air fryer. I am pleasantly surprised. It exceeded expectations. I’m a middle-aged perpetual bachelor who’s culinary talents max out at backing chicken breasts and simultaneously using the stovetop to cook rice. Most things for me come in boxes with three instructions or less, and pictures.This enhances that experience for me. In just the few days since I got it I made burgers, chicken, fries, cooked a half ham. It is much better than the oven for sure and the food comes out better. Less oily or soggy for sure.BUT – I was shocked to learn that you can turn the unit on without the baskets inside. If you have kids, this may be a problem. The heating element is easy to reach inside and touch, it’s just above the cooking baskets. I can see this as posing a serious problem if you have curious children who like to push buttons and reach inside of things. I mean, this device doesn’t have a sense detector that says, hey there’s no basket, let’s not turn on. You can fully set up cooking time and temp and with no basket in, press start and it will start cooking. A bit shocking to me considering all of the safeguards I thought were in place for kids when products hit the market.
Brilliant cooking machine. This is an amazing device, truly transfer my experience of hating to cook to an easy and simple process. I previously had a 6qt Corsair air fryer and it was decent but I typically thought of it as a chore to use. This product has changed my view on what kitchen appliances can be:1. Duo basket that can time finishing time together is very impressive. You don’t realize how much effort it will save from being able to throw something together.2. Cleaning is so easy due to the 4qt baskets. Much easier for the dishwasher as well.3. Cooks better than my previous air fryer. Food isn’t over cooked as often.
My favorite new appliance. I’ve never really liked using the microwave, and I’m terrible at baking, even savory items. I just always get distracted and forget something is cooking. This Ninja nicely turns itself off when the cook timer completes.I’d been researching air fryers off and on for a couple of years now and this one consistently headlined my list. The dual baskets allow me to make two items at once, great for meal prep or if I happen to have guests.The 8qt baskets have plenty of room and are very easy to clean with a simple rinse and wipe. They’re also dishwasher safe in case I have some stuck-ons.I love this unit so much that I’ve found myself not even using the stove or oven but once or twice a week now. It’s definitely my favorite new appliance.
AMAZING. Our first air fryer. Family suggested we get the big one, so glad we did. Didn’t think we’d use it much, lol, that was proven wrong, 3-4 times per week. Quick, crisp, flavorful, super easy to clean. Multifunction, not just air fryer mode. Easy to program, works better than advertised. I was a total skeptic about Ninja appliances but have a blender pro thing with smoothie cups, blender container and food processor container with a blade and dough blade, use it at least once per day for family of three. That’s amazing, and this air fryer is amazing too. Made homemade 2 ingredient dough pizza pockets that were so much fun and quick. Homemade potato chips. Baked homemade ravioli. Crisped Brussel sprouts with onion and balsamic. The chicken!… Are you kidding me?! I’m not paid by anyone, I purchased with my own money and I just wanted to encourage others to go for it with the 10qt. It fits just fine on our 4′ countertops with cabinets above. It takes up a little space but not that bad, especially since it’s used so much. Prefer it to my electric double oven for most things. The shiny chrome-like coating on the basket handles came off after two washes in the dishwasher with the strongest cascade pods, just faded away and now the silver is white plastic…oh well, don’t care, it looks fine and the rest of the units features and performance makes that insignificant at best. The 10 qt makes it possible to cook enough for a family of 2-6 in one batch. Just get it.
Best purchase we made this year. We LOVE this Ninja Air fryer! we researched them for months and finally decided to give this one a try. We really like the two drawers so we can cook several things together. Its very easy to use. Very easy to clean. We now use it more than we use our stove and that saves on the electric bill! It has several different features and we are trying something new every week. This is our favorite purchase this year!

Best air fryer I ever used. No issues at all with it, it works great, the grill pan is very easy to clean. So far every thing I been cooking inside it comes out very good. Very easy to use, my mom was able to use it without any problems at all. The lettering was a good size which made it easy for her to read the buttons and functions.The fans was very loud at first, but over time they gotten quieter, it still not silent but it isn’t as loud as it once were. Over all we both are enjoying the Foodi and use it all the time
