If you don’t know…now you know. Best curl hair product EVER. I have been using Moroccanoil Curl Defining Cream for at least half a decade, probably longer, after seeing a new hair stylist and sharing my hair woes (fine, wavy, dry, breakage and frizz prone). This stuff is a miracle cure for your hairstyle blues!Let’s start with – it smells FANTASTIC! Now mind you, the scent is heavy, especially for asthma and/or allergy sufferers. But it is so, so good, better than perfume, and I feel so sexy when I have my hair up and I let it down and the scent fills the air.This is also ultra hydrating and makes your hair super shiny and healthy looking. Now, for any fine-hair gals thinking, “Gee, hydrating is not a good thing or my hair will go limp,” think again. Just avoid the roots but use it from from the middle to the ends. I slightly blow-dry my hair after a shower, just until it is damp but not wet, then run a penny-sized amount through my currently not-quite-shoulder-length hair, then air dry. Glossy, soft, touchable ringlets magically form! Never greasy or crunchy like a gel or a lot of products, even high-end products, out there. Or, once my hair is dry, if I want more of a bed head look, I dampen my hairbrush and run it through from roots to ends so my hair is barely coated with water, then use another penny-sized blob on the ends and lightly scrunch. Amazing! Takes my hair from dull and limp to supermodel sexy! No need to curl your hair to get a beachy, boho hair look, at least if your hair is naturally curly or wavy like mine.I have also used this hair cream in both hot, arid desert climates, as well as high humidity climates and it worked wonders in both. In humid climates where frizz is a problem, this will smooth your hair out and you’ll get big, bouncy curls. In the desert, where fine hair melts into a sad little head blob, you can still get some sexy waves.If price is a concern, oh, this product is worth the splurge! And it will last you quite a while, especially if your hair is not super thick. For thick-haired ladies, Morroccanoil makes another, extra hydrating curl cream for you.So, yes, best curly hair product I have ever found and I highly recommend giving it a try!
Solid Cream, Gets the Job Done. I have 2B hair and found this product to be just what I needed!Curl Definition: It works well! For whatever reason, I didn’t see many results my first time, but since then the cream has worked as advertised. You don’t need to put a whole lot to work it through the hair.Scent: Better than I thought. I read some reviews which suggested it didn’t smell good at all, but I had no issues of my own and found it to be rather pleasant.Drying power: I do think my hair developed a slight dependency on the product because of usage. Keep in mind this is different for everyone. I used it about 2-3 times a week and found that my hair did struggle the day after using it. Not nearly as bad as other products I’ve used, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.Overall I would recommend this product! It is a bit on the pricier side, but I find this size great, especially for travel. Make sure you buy a cream that matches your hair type!
PERFECT travel size for longer trips. This is a really nice defining cream for textured hair. I have long, thick hair that is naturally wavy, and this works great to define my waves and tame frizz. It seals the hair well against humidity, but doesn’t feel heavy or look greasy or weird. I work a palmful into my hair after I shower, or dampened hair in the morning, and it air dries nicely. I go on a lot of cruise vacations, and this is wonderful for taming my hair, but leaving it clean enough to easily style for dinners and events, while keeping the frizz at bay. It is also the perfect travel size for me. Big enough to hold enough product for 10 days or so at sea, without taking a full sized product with me. Those little TSA bottles only hold enough for a long weekend. I loved this on my last vacation.
This is my new BFF. This product is sooooo good. Smells nice, isn’t greasy or messy and best of all helps my dry, frizzy hair find it’s natural curl. Without it I look like a neanderthal with crazy, frizzy sticky-outy hair. I apply it after my hair has air-dried to a damp state. Scrunchy-schrunchy and good to go. The product even is so nice, you don’t even need to wipe it off of you hands after using it. Very soft and not sticky at all. Not long after use my ringlets and natural waves come on full power. This is one of my must-have items. It’s a bit pricey for me since I’m a pretty low-maintenance person, but it is worth every penny.
Best I’ve Tried So Far. I’ve been trying to embrace and learn how to work with my naturally wavy hair. This is the best product I’ve tried so far, though I’m learning less is more; I really don’t need much at all for my hair which is a little longer than shoulder length and on the thicker side. Like some other reviewers, I do not care for the scent.
Does a good job of defining my waves. I didn’t need much product for it to work. I used a dime size on back of my shoulder length hair and another dime size (rubbed into my hands) for both sides of my hair. I noticed difference from not using it to using it. It definitely made my hair wavier. I like the creamy substance of the product.It does have a strong smell the first few times you use it but it eventually turns into a lovely fragrance. My hair feels softer now that I’m using it. Living in Colorado my hair gets very dry and this product makes a lot of difference.I am happy I bought it.
AMAZING. I ordered this as I needed something better for my natural curls. I was so tired of all the mousse, gels and spray and how sticky my hair felt after all the products – without getting great results. This Moraccanoil Curl Defining Cream is amazing! I applied to damp hair, did a tiny bit of hand scrunching and left it to dry. I ran my fingers lightly through after it was dry to actually loosen some of the curls! My hair is soft, not sticky at all, not weighed-down and has lasted for 8 hours now! I live in a humid state and when I walked outside in the rain it actually reactivated the product to smooth what little frizz there was- so it’s strong without being heavy!! I have definitely found the hair product of my dreams!!! I’ve already thrown out all of the other junk I used to use!! It’s smells so good too. Couldn’t have been easier to use!
I love all moroccanoil products. I got the smaller size of the styling cream. It does do a good job of helping my waves stay when I want to wear it wavy, however I find that personally the cream is too thick and a little hard to work with.I have waist length, thick hair and as much as I love their products, it’s just too much work for the amount of hair I have.This product would probably work best with shorter lengths and finer hair.
Swear by this product for perfect curls. I have used many products throughout the years and this is my absolute favorite when it comes to styling my curly hair. It keeps your hair soft and is perfect for providing moisture in dry climates.
Fine Thin Hair. I purchased this item after reading the reviews. I have been looking for a product that would bring my curls out. I have tried other products and they either did not work or weighted my hair down badly. This product is a miracle product! It really works! I was totally surprised!

Ultimate makeover for my hair. This does for my hair what all the products of past decades promised but never achieved. It makes my hair soft, ultra ultra curly, defines the curls, keeps them in place so I don’t need hair spray, eliminates bed head so all I need to do is fluff and go. It lets my hair express its great qualities, lets me step out of the shower and fluff without requiring careful application of different products in layers and using a diffuser and being unhappy with the results. It makes me happy about my natural self instead of always being at war with my hair. My color is gorgeous, definition is outstanding and I’ve never seen such curls. As a bonus, this product has a slightly musky and mysterious fragrance that is bewitching.I read that argan oil is effective because it can penetrate the hair instead of lying on the surface. It has to be mixed with other things to make a hair product, so some of the ingredients look like what would be found in any other Brand X hair product, but using this has shown me that the ingredient mix is ideal, at least for my hair.I wish I had found this decades ago. I had no idea what my curls were capable of doing and now I have saved so much time and self-criticism. My natural curls are indeed a crowning glory instead of a frizzy curse.
For curly girls. I have a favorite AG curling gel i use and wanted to give this a try. It was ok, just didn’t do as well as my normal gel does. I didn’t give this a bad review because it is a good curling product, it smells good but just not for my hair. I encourage you to give it a try or ask your stylist.

Amazing Curly Hair Product. Works super well for my curl pattern. Does not require a crazy amount of product to get the job done. Very light on my hair and doesn’t make it super greasy after use, not to mention the amazing smell!
