Not for me. I have to say this made my hair feel soft but It’s like torture having it on my head. It stinks. Maybe I received a rancid bottle or this is just the smell, but I was dying inside after putting just a couple drops through my hair. I could not walk around with it on because I felt like everyone could smell it. I didn’t want to waste my money so I figured I could use it once every two weeks or once a month as a treatment before I wash my hair. That’s not going to happen. I tried sleeping with this in my hair and I don’t want to do that again. Anything that comes in contact with this oil has to be washed or the scent just lingers. So while it did make my hair feel soft, the reward was not worth the sacrifice. I still gave four stars because I truly don’t know if this is what it’s supposed to smell like or if it is bad. Maybe it’s just not my preference. I can’t justify giving a low rating because I don’t like the smell.

Inexpensive self care. TBH I haven’t used this long enough to see if there are any results, and whether or not these results are the result of the massaging, or the use of any oil, but this is really enjoyable to use. Some people may think it is medicinal but I love the natural herbal smell instead of the usual heavy artificial perfumes that most products have (it smells like a spa to me). It is refreshing but in a mild way, the mint is not overly strong. I like using it, it gives me an few minutes of purposeful self care, massaging into my scalp and the base of my neck. I then rub it into my cuticles. I do hope it helps with growth and hairline breakage but even if it doesn’t it does make your hair soft and shiny and it’s an affordable product that allows you a few minutes to care for yourself.

Just started. I’ve read so much good about this product I can’t wait to see my results. My first application left my hair still oily after shampooing twice in the shower but maybe I over used it. I used to have pretty thick hair but the last 6 months I’ve been shedding a lot and my hair dresser mentioned my hair thinning. I’m noticing so many spot now on my scalp. I watched so many videos and read so many blogs and I keep seeing this product. It was supper affordable so I decided to give it a try. I will update my review in a few weeks!

So far so good. Ok it’s only day one but I already notice a difference. For the past few weeks I’ve been experiencing hair loss (about a palm sized area in the middle of my hard is now about 1” in length), brittle hair, breakage, and sensitive/itchy scalp. I have relaxed natural hair and the last light treatment did a number on my hair. After I wash, I quickly develop scalp scabs in the area where my hair broke off and lots of dandruff.So I ordered this after seeing the reviews and success stories. As soon as it was delivered, I applied some to my freshly washed (and scab free) scalp, braided my hair and tied my bonnet and went to sleep. In the morning, I expected my scalp to irritate me like always but it hasn’t, and there is less scabbing/buildup developing — so it’s already made a difference! I’m going to keep using this product and will keep my hair in a protective style while it grows back, so I’m optimistic.Also, I should’ve listened when reviewers said a little bit goes a long way!

does what it’s supposed to. i use this brand’s shampoo and conditioner for my slightly wavy hair. my friend recommended i try their hair oil too, so i did. i am a female to male transgender guy almost 3 years on hormone replacement, so keeping up with my hair is important to me because i don’t want to deal with male pattern baldness. i did lose some of my hair around my temples, so i have my dad’s windows peak now haha. but its thickened up again in those areas since i’ve started this hair oil. i apply it every so often to my trample areas, my scalp, and my ends, when i think about it, not every day since i don’t want my hair to look greasy. i’m part white irish and indigenous american if that matters, hair texture wise. i do try to consistently apply a day before i shower. i think it’s a good product! i like the way it smells, and i don’t feel it’s too heavy on my hair.

Love the smell. I got this because I had some thinning along my hair line and wanted my many “baby hairs” to stop sticking up all over the place and needed something to help them grow. It’s only been a month in, but I can already tell it is working. What I do is every night when I am doing my nightly routine washing my face/brushing teeth I first wash my face/get all my makeup off, and once I have used my cleanser then washed off I use this. I use this before putting my toner and serums on. I apply it all along the hairline and since this bottle comes with a dropper, it makes it precise and helps it not go everywhere. After I apply a few drops all along my hairline on my forehead I gently rub it in with my fingertips and then take a brow brush or brow spool and brush it in and back like im going to put my hair in a ponytail. I let that sit for about 20 minutes then wash it off with water. This is particularly good on nights if you use or apply masks or skin treatments, because you have to let the mask sit for a certain amount of time so doing this with it helps take care of both at once. I have also started to use this on my eyebrows as well to help with over plucking so I can grow my eyebrows back in and its really actually working! I have been trying so long to try and get my sparse hairs to grow in and full and nothing has worked but this stuff. I take a few drops and put it on each brow and rub it in the brow line then take a brow spooling and brush it in. Wait about 15 to 20 minutes then wash out with water then your done. The key is consistency and this will work. The smell is like a cleaner version of like a Vicks Vapor rub, but not super strong. I love using this stuff at night because it opens up my nasal passages before bed. This product comes in a glass jar with a glass dropper and rubber dropper head. This stuff really works! This stuff has done so good so far I can’t wait to see what a few more months will do. Next I am going to start trying this stuff in my hair for split ends and I have full faith they are going to start looking fabulous 👌Update** I’m so mad at myself, because I wish I would’ve taken a before picture to put with progress photos to show how much this has had an effect on my hair growth! This is doing great for my hairline, but I noticed alot of the reviews on this was for baby hairs and for regular hair growth, so I wanted to put forth some info on if and how well this does for other areas such as eyebrows, and let me tell you, this stuff is absolutely AMAZING for that! The photos above are my eyebrows at about 3 to 3 and 1/2 weeks in using this product. I only had hair where the inside of the green boxes are, and honestly the picture doesn’t do it justice, because this product helped fill in those areas too. All the outside of the green boxes is from using this product. I cant believe what I’m seeing grow, it’s amazing 🙂 The picture with my lashes is to show where I apply this along my lash line where the green line is. Those are my natural lashes with nothing on them and this stuff has made them full and longer. (I do not apply the dropper itself along the lash line, after applying to my eyebrows and hair line when rubbing the product in I use what is left on my finger and swipe gently along the lash line.) Disappointed – Unexpected Hair Loss After Use. I had high hopes for the Mielle Organics Rosemary Mint Scalp & Hair Strengthening Oil, especially with its natural ingredients and strengthening claims. However, my husband unfortunately experienced noticeable hair loss after using it for a while, which was surprising and concerning. The scent is refreshing, and it felt nice on the scalp, but the hair loss has left us unsure about continuing with it. It might work differently for others, but it’s something to consider if you’re prone to sensitivity. We’ll be cautious with similar products in the future.UPDATE 11/07/24: I appreciate that Mielle Organics took my review seriously and reached out to me. While there isn’t anything further I need or can do at this point, I value their proactive response and dedication to customer satisfaction. Although the product didn’t work for my husband, I recognize it still has potential for other uses and may work well for others. My hair loves it. Hair is pretty much damaged from bleaching. I got a good trim, went from bob, to shag, but still felt like the hair was needing moisture. This helps so ouch. Even before I cut my hair and used this when my ends were breaking off, it toned down the breakage. Now with the haircut, my hair is so fluffy and soft. I use it 1x weekly as my hair is short, but would probably do 2x weekly if longer. Love how my head smells too. Pic is from a really bad damage day, but I put in the oils and it made my hair go from frizzy to somewhat curly. Works miracles on lightly curly frizzy hair.

Addicted it works smells great. I have bought so many bottles of this to keep on hand because it works to soften my hair protect it It smells great I put it on after the shower I put it on on my naturally curly hair I put it on when I feel like my hair is dry and needs moisture it smells good it doesn’t dry my hair it’s not synthetic feeling it just feels all natural I have one in my purse I have one in my cabinet I try to buy it at the store but it was more expensive It was better to buy it here on Amazon and when it’s on sale I ate stock up I have thick coarse hair and split ends and I noticed that this one makes my hair softer defines my curls and it smells really nice and my hair feels healthier after using this so it is a must for me I hope they don’t change the formula because I like it the way it is I tried the pomade but I liked more of the oil instead so mielle is great. My daughter had some and I tried it and then after that I was hooked and got my own and I’m buying it all the time because I don’t want to run out especially with the winter season my hair needs to be nice and soft and strengthened I love the mint smell so give it a try because it works for me.

I hear this is hit or miss – it’s a hit for me. I will preface saying I know recently people have had mixed reviews since J&J took over the brand and what works for me may not work for others.Personal background context: I always had relatively thick hair, but last winter, my hair randomly started falling out in concerning clumps (think a row of extensions worth each shower), and especially because I work out regularly and need to tie my hair up tight and often, I was really scared of what the effects would be. I was also balding quite badly on the sides of my hairline, especially the left side. I took a chance on this oil though I heard contradicting reviews. The first 3 or so tries, even more hair was falling out. Also, I started using it 2x a week and I’d feel a mild tingle/burn even after washing it out. However, once I switched to using it once a week, I have seen tremendous growth and don’t feel the tingle/burn anymore! I haven’t had this much hair since I was in middle school and it’s been less than a year. Depending on how dire your hair loss is, I think this can be a really great product to incorporate into your weekly routine, but I wouldn’t use it more than once a week.

1000000% fantastic. I went from super thick about past my waist but due to some health issues and adding in new house adjusting to hard water (and age ,yay perimenopause) people were swearing I cut my hair. It was so thin and breaking of everywhere. I was starting to almost getting a bald spot in the back. I’m sure there’s people that understand. My hair is my security blanket and hours so horrifiedBut oh my God, I got this and within a month I was so freaking amazed!!!! Within the first few uses, I noticed I had very little breakage anymore, which was a huge transition. The shine came back. When I looked at the ingredients is what gave me faith and I’m glad I took that shot because it has filled in anywhere that was thinned out, and my hair is actually growing longer thicker almost like it used to be. I wish I had before and after pictures. I have been using it now for about I’d say four or five months just once or twice a week with the shampoo. The conditioner didn’t work well with my hair and it might be great for other hair, but just not mine but just the oil and Shampoo has blown me away. I will never switch.
