Not for daily long battery endurance unfortunately. My only real gripe is the battery life, about 4-6 hours when using conservatively and 2-3 hours with settings turned all the way up (and I’m not a gamer. This was not a deal breaker for me though, it’s otherwise a very powerful machine. A bit heavier than expected too, but this translates as durability/quality of product for me. Awesome tabluter, love it.

Loving this version of MS Surface Pro. I’ve had the surface pro three for many years and use it for DJing with a leading provider of D.J. Software. The requirements of the sulfur however really taxed that version of the surface pro three and so this upgrade to surface pro eight has been like coming out of the dark ages into the light. The system is incredibly responsive, and I’m absolutely loving the speed at which it processes the application and any of the tasks that I’ve thrown at it. My only issue is that for some reason Microsoft has chosen to replace the SD slot with the capability to replace the internal drive and I really miss that little drive. Still love the 8 though and would recommend it. Microsoft in windows 11 have done amazing things with respect to ease of set up an configuration and connectivity to the device by a facial recognition etc.

Finally what I was looking for. I bought it under 1k during prime day and this core i7 surface is the exact thing I was looking for! Perfect for productivity and also perfect for couch internet browsing. However, I found the original keyboard and pen extremely expensive, specially if you buy your surface on sale. So, I will consider third party options instead (Brydge and Reinasser to be specific)
Disappointed **update**. I’ve been wanting a surface pro for years. What a disappointment. This thing is soooo buggy!! It quite honestly is just a really bad investment. I bought the best they offered at the time, then I bought the Microsoft keyboard and pen. It will literally just refuse to change orientation, won’t open the digital keyboard, Won’t react to the pen, until you either connect it back to the keyboard or restart it. Oh and the pen ….. laughable. Seems cool out of the box but once you start using it, you just want to snap it in half and throw it on the ground and stomp on it. I can’t even begin to count how many times I’ve wanted to bash this thing against my own head for making such a foolish purchase!!! Also, I understand it’s a windows thing but unless you’re connected to cloud it won’t show you your files, it absolutely eats data and battery so projects on the go with a hotspot and no charger…… just don’t. I can’t believe I bought into the hype. It’s a joke. It’s trash, it’s less convenient than dragging around a desktop pc on a desk plugged into a generator. Seriously just don’t!! I have a new Dell laptop running the same windows and it’s amazing! It’s not a tablet so it won’t do what I wanted this to do, but this won’t either so aghhh. I’m not sure what would be better if you are looking for a windows tablet but after wasting nearly 3 grand on this thing I would recommend you buy anything but this.Update: So after a year of having this I absolutely LOVE IT!!!! This may sound super contradictory and you might think “why still one star?”. Here’s why. I spent roughly 27 HOURS stripping the bloated software from this surface. Weeding through the system and operating files to delete Edge, and all cloud based software and auto updating spyware. Keep in mind I spent thousands on this, purchasing the most powerful and largest memory model offered at the time. Obviously I had to do something to get my moneys worth. I now have a surface that has only an operating system by windows with no bloat, no snooping, no Microsoft cloud, nothing but the programs I use for work. I have done hundreds of hours of CAD design utilizing a very large program that requires massive amount of ram and the bugs are gone, no glitches, the battery lasts roughly 7 hours of non stop drafting while sending and receiving emails and the constant collaboration file share of roughly 2gig files. The pin now works flawless, screen orientation issues are gone, literally every single complaint I had has been resolved and what I have now is literally the best piece of technology I’ve ever owned. So basically Microsoft designed an absolutely unbelievable device and then ruined it with all their ignorant mandatory, un-deletable, bloated, spyware. If you are or know someone who can free this device of these things you will love this I guarantee you. If not DO NOT BUY!

Great tablet/PC. Replacing a Surface Pro 3 which was almost 7 years old. The new Surface Pro 8, i7, 16GB memory is fantastic in terms of speed and power. Multitasking (Blue Iris with 3 cameras, internet, various programs) all are working great. Attached a USB C hub with several hard drives and additional accessories, they are all working great. Upgraded the 256 GB internal ssd with 512 GB Kioxia ssd and saved several hundred $$.Overall it is a great business/home tablet/pc.

It’s like lightning compared to a surface pro 3. Battery life is good enough for a busy half day of intensive websurfacing, word processing and listening to music at a moderate volume. Sound quality is impressive comming from a device that functions as quickly as it does. Screen is on the reflective end especially against sunlit environments, nothing a third party product can’t fix. However clarity is on point if you remove the glare. Paired this my Logitech mx keys mini combo and it has been awesome experience moving from a windows 10 surface pro 3 to this awesome device.

Disappointing at best. Well i thought I could replace my old laptop with this but that won’t happen. I’m retired, so mostly I’m paying bills, crusing Facebook, and watching YouTube videos. Battery life is 5 hours or less, and once it gets down to about half power videos start to flicker, so I’m back to android before lunch. If you’re not using the keyboard you’re left with a tablet without a protective case, and i honestly can’t fathom why there’s no slot for an SD card. An all together mediocre tablet.
Not as described. It seemed OK, but the specifications weren’t accurate.
BUYER BEWARE. NOT SOLD BY MICROSOFT OR AMAZON. PLEASE CHECK SELLER RATINGS. TL;DR: Item is too defective to be new. Seller has abysmal return policies and amazon won’t let you use theirs. Check listings for more reputable sellers.I wasn’t too sure about buying a Surface Pro 8 on Amazon. Decided to pull the trigger and buy this one new.It arrived with a whole slew of defects:-The battery won’t charge and the computer dies when unplugged. (tried troubleshooting – failed)-The computer can not auto update because the battery will not charge (tried troubleshooting – manually installed updates successfully)-BSOD(Blue Screen Of Death) due to a Driver Verification DMA Violation in the following scenarios:–When attempting to boot safe mode menu–When attempting to factory reset Windows 11–When attempting to boot recovery image from USB–When attempting to factory reset windows using image from USB***When windows attempts to load Bit Locker Restoration due to too many BSOD’s (Endless loop)***This level of corruption is not consistent with the out-of-box experience of Surface Pro 8 (well okay, except maybe the battery issue – it has been reported multiple times within the past couple years.)So now I’m stuck with a glorified paperweight. What’s the catch? This seller requires you to report a faulty device within five(5) calendar days with the problems you are having. Troubleshooting a device for a professional can take that long if they’re busy – for home and office use, this timeframe needs to be *10 business* days to be acceptable. In addition, and this is where the negative reviews mostly come from, there are currently double digit accusations of fraudulent restocking fee charges when defective products are returned – and on their page it’s “20% of the item’s selling price plus more if we think you damaged it in any way.” There’s also a few accusations of selling used items that are listed as new – and based on my experience this shows some merit. People have disputed this with amazon and they show time and again they take the seller’s side.”What about Amazon’s A-Z guarantee,” you ask. *Amazon does not cover most computers with their guarantee unless the seller fails to respond to your query within 2 business days, and this product is no different. And yes, the seller will contact you – they want that restocking fee.”But Microsoft has it covered with their own warranty,” you say. That sounds great until you learn that *Microsoft will not repair your machine or send you a new one. They will send you a different, refurbished one instead.* On paper this is a huge letdown for microsoft’s support of their products, BUT if you are like me and find yourself facing loosing hundreds (and paying your own shipping label, and waiting for a long time for the item to arrive to get your refund) over a return, it’s honestly the safer and better option. Microsoft is probably the one entity that has their own tools for this sort of thing (but it’s time intensive so they send the ones they finished fixing instead of fixing yours.)At the end of the day, you’re likely getting a malfunctioning Unit from these guys – and it will cost you to return it. Best look at a different seller.
works fantastic. wife loves it working really well easy set up. thanks
