  1. Easy homekit setup – just ignore the instructions. Pro:size – two plugs easily fit in a standard double outlet and on standard size power strip (on compact strips you would still be able to fit a two-prong plug next to it.) This is a huge improvement over the old TP-link plug that took up 2 spaces on my power strip even when it was placed on the top (see picture.)Operation & Integration – once connected the plug just work. I quickly forgot that they weren’t always there; waiting for my command. I can turn off all the lights in the house from the iphone flip-up screen.Installation – Like a lot of Meross products, the plug has EZ mode and AP mode. The detail instruction sheet takes you through EZ mode. However, the plugs were all in AP mode (slow blink) and I could not get it to blink fast even after 3 resets. Once you get over the fact that the instruction sheet is quite unhelpful and follow the instructions below, and you will find that installation is a breeze.1. Plug it in. Make sure that the light blinks green/amber. If it’s steady green, as in a previous setup, press and hold the button for 5 seconds to get it into setup mode.2. on you iPhone, go to Settings | Wireless. wait a few seconds until the plug shows up under the heading “set up new device…” The name is “meross_sw_B210” or something similar… Click on it.3. You now get a message that allows you to “Add to Home & Wi-Fi” (see picture.) Smash that link to turn on the camera and scan the top of the plug to add it into Homekit.4. After about 30 seconds Homekit allows you to select the room and name of the new device. The phone automatically switch back to you home wireless network.cons:Not a huge issue, but the position of the button on the side of the plug could be challenging to your less techie household members. The ability to share homekit settings with everyone can mitigate the issue, but I’m a bit concern that I’ll get a talking-to the next time my wife tries to turn on the floor lamp in the den.I have a couple of floor lamps and my Roku device connected to plugs. No more having to get up to manually reset Roku. A voice command to Alexa does the trick. The 4th plug is connected to my electric tea kettle to schedule it for my morning brew (until I get a smart tea kettle, but that’s a battle for another day.)

  3. Easy to use. Having used WeMo plugs before, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy these ones are to set up. Point an Apple iPhone at it, and it is configured and working in less than a minute. Install the Meross app, and it’s working with an Echo in moments. It’s very impressive. However, this is a pack of 4, and one of them doesn’t work at all. It starts, and even shows up on WiFi, but it refuses to configure, no matter what approach I take. The others work flawlessly, but this one switch is basically dead. I know I should ask for an exchange, but I’m still using the other 3, and don’t want to have to send them back to deal with this one bad one.For the working ones, I love them. I’m giving it 4 stars if the quality were better, then I’d be giving a 5 star review.Update: Meross saw this review and responded with advice on connecting to this final device. I’ve now connected to it, and it’s set up on my Apple Home system. It wasn’t easy, but it did work! So maybe 4.7 stars is a more appropriate review? 🙂 I appreciate the effort from their support, so I’ll round up the review

  6. Easy setup, works as expected. I had my 12 year old setup the first two. She’s not super tech savvy but she didn’t have any issues. I setup the other two. They work. I didn’t have any issues with setup or updating. They don’t seem to work with HomeKit though. They were added in just fine but all four show up as offline. Not sure what’s going on there but for what I need the Meross app does what I need. Would have been nice though.

  7. works great, when it works. i love these smart plugs. bought them and installed them in my house with almost zero effort. then i bought them for my mom and couldn’t get any of it to work. talked to meross customer service, her internet provider’s customer service, reset everything (devices, modems, etc) multiple times, changed settings. none of it helped. so, this is a mixed review because i really do love these plugs, but i want to caution that it might not work for everyone.

  8. Decently priced HomeKit compatible smart plugs. I use these with Apple HomeKit, so I don’t know what the Meross software is like. With HomeKit, there’s no need to use it. I was able to easily add these right into HomeKit by using the Home app on the iPhone, then scanning the barcode on each plug. They’ve worked reasonably well, although in the months since getting these, I have had them lose contact a few times. A simple unplug/replug resolves the issue.

  9. Wi-Fi Outlet. EXCELLENT product!! For anyone not only looking to conserve energy but also for those looking for a more convenient way to power on devices without having to get up to turn on a switch manually. Works well with Apple “Home”. You can control any outlet right from your cellphone. Absolutely love this product!!!

  10. Excellent plug for HomeKit. Excellent quality plug for HomeKit compatibility. Extremely easy to set up and get control of anything you want to power on and off remotely. Highly recommend if you have apple HomeKit.

  11. Setup Required Several Restarts but Now It Works Great. My first several attempts to connect it to HomeKit went nowhere. I can’t tell you what I did to make it work, but on the 3rd (and last) attempt, it connected! Once connected, it worked fine. In the one year I have had this Smart Plug, it did disconnect one time… but it reconnected on the first attempt. Given the trouble I have had connecting other devices, this isn’t bad. 4 stars instead of 5 because it took too many attempts to connect, but if finally did and works well.

Weird setup. I purchased these plugs a few years ago and they were very easy to set up through the Meross app. One recently went bad, so I bought this to replace it…same model and specs. Now, it appears you have to set it up thriough Apple Home before they will be recognized and function by the Meross app. Even after setting it up in Apple Home, I couldn’t set it up using the Meross app. I had to click on a button within the Home app to install it into the Meross app. I’m not sure what benefit this extra step is. It was automatically recognized by Alexa after it was in the Meross app, but I can’t get it into the skill group that the old plug was in! Frustrating!

  14. Excellent product and software. MEROSS product provides excellent plugs, switches and other products. I got so fed up with the inconsistency of my WEMO products and lack of support that I tried the MEROSS plugs. They were easy to install using the MEROSS software and I have not had one issue with them. Due to this excellent performance, I bought several switches as well a two smoke detectors.

  15. It simply works with Apple HomeKit. I originally purchased a single 2-pack and was so impressed with the ease of use and integration into Apple HomeKit that I bought two more 2-packs. These are great for turning on and off lamps, floor fans, 3D printers, etc. They also have a power button blended into the right side of the plug for turning the unit on and off manually. Great product. I will buy more if the need arises.

  16. Work really well with HomeKit so far. I’ve set up 2 so far, easy, fast. Used the Meross app initially, updated the firmware as needed, connected to HomeKit with a click. Was easily able to group them. I only manage them via Apple Home, and use Siri to turn on or off what’s plugged in. Have similar plans for the other 2

  17. Wonderful device and integration with Apple Home. I have now bought two four packs of these smart plugs. I do consider the inclusion of the word mini in the name of the product as a bit of a misnomer. I would prefer a lower profile and a narrower device. But I am very happy with the device. I have it controlling multiple night lights throughout my house and table lamps in various rooms. Integration with Apple home is seamless. In fact, if you have both Apple home and the meross app on your phone, it’s easier to do the setup with Apple home and it will migrate the information to the meross app. Using Apple home, controlling devices plugged into these smart plugs is very simple by talking to Siri.

  19. Easy to Install. These are the best smart plugs I have used for the ease of use, durability and speed of installation. Out of the box, you just plug the units into your outlet, go to the Apple Home App, select add accessory and scan the QR code; that’s it. If the plugs need to be reset you can hold the button on the unit to reset them, they will flash orange when their memory is cleared. The speed of the commands is almost instant, there is almost no lag using Siri to turn on, and turn off lights or accessories. My only feedback is to update the overall aesthetic of the plugs, they are on the larger side and protrude a bit.Pro’s:+Easy to Install+Quick Response Time+Apple Home IntegrationCon’s-Bulky

  20. They work. They work well with Apple HomeKit. Easy to install and program.

  21. Works Flawlessly With HomeKit. Meross products are standouts in that they just work in a smart home. Easy to setup, I’ve had zero issues or drops since plugging them in. They work with HomeKit very easily and consistently. They do not block adjacent outlet above/below and have a skinnier width than the old Wemo smart plugs for comparison. And the price on a 4-pack is very good.

  22. No dimming function. Not useable as a dimmerOtherwise works perfectly

  23. Headache free and reliable extensions to the reach of your HomeKit. I have about a dozen of these plugs and kept coming back based on my experience with Meross’ simplicity and reliability. These plugs offer an excellent HomeKit solution for making dumb devices smart. Also, the low profile allows more than one per outlet plate, which is great (and less common than you’d think). Response time is consistently near instant (via HomeKit or Siri) and super reliable with next to no instances of these plugs bouncing off-line (the solution is simply to unplug and re-plug). Pairing to HomeKit is simple and quick. At their low price point these are an excellent solution to enhance your smart home ecosystem with devices that would otherwise not be possible – heaters, heated blankets, water fountains, white noise machines, coffee machines, lamps, fans, you name it – as long as the device resumes its setting after power interruption. I have some more creative solutions in my home too, such as using shortcuts to activate these plugs when another smart home devices acts as a trigger.I also HIGHLY recommend the Meross garage door openers – they have been headache free and the very best solution after having tried literally four other brands.

  24. great product! i wish it also worked for 5GHz. The Meross Smart Plug Mini, 15A, 4 Pack is a solid choice for those looking to enhance their smart home setup without breaking the bank. Its broad compatibility, compact design, and reliable performance make it a standout, despite occasional setup and connectivity hiccups. For users willing to navigate the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi requirement and occasional firmware updates, these plugs offer a cost-effective, versatile solution for automating household devices.Rating: 4.5/5Pros: Affordable, compact, multi-platform support, reliable once set up.Cons: 2.4GHz Wi-Fi limitation, occasional HomeKit issues, basic app.For those building a smart home, especially with Apple HomeKit, these plugs are a worthy investment, but ensure your network is compatible to avoid setup frustrations.

  25. Straight forward. I bought this because it works with Apple Home Kit. And it worked flawlessly. I didn’t have to download Meross’s App. I loaded it straight into Home Kit. Follow the instructions is all you have to do.
