Just one problem for us “older” folks. I chose this cutter as it said it was easy for us “old folks” to use. However, when it arrived and I got it out of the packaging, I could NOT open the blade. I was about to return it when my son visited and he forced it open so now I can use it but it doesn’t close.I’m still glad I bought it as it does cut easily and cleanly. The “elderly” however, may need to have someone younger around to open the blade for them. (I am 88)

Pretty dang good. Easy to use. Comfortable grip. Only complaint is sometimes you have to squeeze twice to get them to cut. Could be user error too cuz I don’t let them open completely before trying to cut again. I just need to get used to them but I like them. My arthritic hands like them too!
Comfortble grip for arthritic hands. This sturdy little tool got me out in the sunshine trimming overgrowth in my yard because it is so comfortable for me to use. I can now do repeat squeezing motions without pain and that is wonderful.
Work as Promised. It is easy to use for my small , arthritic hand. I am left handed and they operate equally well for my right handed husband. The connections seem loose and a little wobbly but that might be necessary to keep the pruner easy to operate. They are new but I have already tried them out on various branches and stems and I am happy with the purchase. Now, as with anything, I just hope that I will love them in 5 years.

Yes, it was the color and the fact that you get 2 tools for the small price. Knowing I only take a few classes per year I knew these were the tools to try. These are very sturdy, sharp and work great on thick flower stems. I am very pleased with them and suggested them to a fellow flower shop class friend. She agrees that they work well.

These hand pruners did not meet my expectations. They look really cool bit they are not designed for my heavy duty uses. I tend to cut branches the size of a pencil ✏️ or bigger. I don’t like the foam stuff at the bottom we’re the blade rest because it doesn’t help cutt the branch nice and clean.

Work well, but not very sturdy. These work as intended… there is less strain on the hands, and they cut cleanly. They don’t seem very sturdy, however, since they have a lot of plastic in the construction. Since the price is not bad, I suggest handling and storing them with care. Otherwise, satisfactory.
Great handle grip. The handle is great for left handed persons. Most pruners don’t work if you are left handed. So that excuse is gone with these pruners. A great buy. You’ll be pruning for hours with this tool.

Best clippers I ever had. It’s so easy to use even on big branches.
No hurt hand. These are amazing!! I have arthritis in my thumbs and clippers tend to make them hurt more. I just made many piles of limbs from a live tree that had to been cut down. My hands do NOT hurt!

A larger hand is necessary. My husband and will be able to use these, larger hands. They look well made and sturdy and looks like they will cut well.My hand is wide and shorter fingers, I hoped I could use them, but can not.
Great Pruners. After reading previous reviews I was a little bit concerned about the ease of the sliding lock on the handle and if it would fit my hand. The blade is made out of German steel and is high quality. When it opens all the way I can’t reach both sides well. It cuts up to an inch so you don’t really need it all the way open to cut that sized branch. If it is open all the way there is an inch and a half from the blade. I held it in my left hand and slid the lock with my right hand. I squeezed it shut as I was sliding the lock. The reason I held it in the left was the screw for lock is on the right. The picture shown is how I hold to slide lock. When cutting I have my fingers inside. If I tried sliding it from non screw side it was more difficult. Easy for me if I slide from screw side. You also need to squeeze handle closed to assist in locking or unlocking. I have trimmed trees and bushes and needed something to break them down for burning in a burn can. As soon as it got here I tested it. With my arthritis this really helps and is way more comfortable.
Hard to lock the blades shut. I’ve had this type of pruning shears before (different brand) but needed a new pair. These seem good quality. However, the little sliding knob to lock the blades shut when not in use is not easy to use. It just doesn’t lock easily. It could use an improved design.
As advertised. Sharp and cut nicely. Don’t open as wide as last pair. But they’re a different brand and work a bit differently. I have small hands and are easy to use and work locking mechanism. They are very nice.

Very poor quality. I bought these shears hoping the ratchet mechanism would make gardening easier on my joints, but they have been a massive disappointment.• Poor Performance: These shears are neither strong nor sharp. Instead of a clean cut, they tend to crush stems or get stuck halfway through a branch.• Broken Ratchet: The ratchet mechanism—the main reason I purchased these—is clunky and fails to engage properly. It often slips, defeating the purpose of having a mechanical advantage.• Agonizing for Arthritis: As someone living with arthritis, these are a nightmare. Because they aren’t sharp, you have to apply significantly more force to get through a basic prune. This puts immense pressure on my hands, leading to immediate flare-ups and pain.• Zero Comfort: To make matters worse, the handles have almost no padding. The hard grip digs into your palms, making them incredibly uncomfortable to hold for more than a minute.If you have any hand pain or weakness, stay away from these. They are a waste of money and physically painful to use.
