Dogs love it, but the quality could be better. Of the rope toys I ordered recently, this one is probably my dogs’ favorites – they LOVE playing tug-o-war with this toy and it’s perfect for that use. However, the quality of isn’t as high as the other rope toys I ordered. It’s already started to fray and the knots are starting to come apart. I will most likely order another one because it’s not expensive and it’s a great length for what the dogs use it for.Edit 10/18 – our dogs have been playing with this on and off for a full month now. The rope is still intact. They still play tug-o-war with it. The fraying knots are still fraying, but that’s from our puppy chewing on them, not from the tug-o-war.Edit 10/31 It finally died and had to toss it (rope threads are not good for the intestines). Again, it was due to gnawing and not tug-o-war. Will most likely purchase another and hide it so she can’t chew on it, but when they see it, they’ll get excited and want to play with it.
A great toy for parrots, especially if they pluck. I have a number of macaws as pets and a couple of cockatoos. If you have parrots, you know toys for them can be very expensive, and none of them last very long. Although we do make wood toys for our pets, they seem to really enjoy chewing on, shredding, and unbraiding, the rope toys. I hang these from the top of the cage using a chain and a quick link.When buying rope toys for parrots, it’s important they are made of cotton. Other materials can be harmful to their digestive system if swallowed. It’s also important to remove the rope toy if it becomes too shredded as parrots can entangle their feet and legs in them. Having been a parrot breeder for over 30 years, I have found that the rope toys can be beneficial for parrots that pluck as they tend to chew on the toys rather than their feathers.Since these rope toys are inexpensive, it won’t break the bank to replace them. The reason for a 4-star rating instead of 5-star is that these rope toys are only 1″ in diameter. Judging from the product page, the diameter of the braid is the same for all of the longer lengths. Whether buying these toys for a large chewing dog or for parrots, a 1″ diameter won’t last very long. Even so, considering the price, I would buy them again and recommend them.I hope this review was helpful for you.
Excellent value – Everyone’s favorite. I dog sit, so have a lot of dogs in and out, and these simple $5 rope toys are always the favorite. I just get the 15’ 3 knot one. Gives them each an ‘end’ of they wanna tug. Some love to just grab it and shake it, and the ones that feel the need to shred things love to chew and worry at the fibers. Last as well as you’d expect – I take it away from the SERIOUS chewers and give them a hard bone or antler. But with normal garden variety chewers, they last reasonably well. For $5 I feel like I get my moneys worth and happy to replace them every few months.
Doggo loves it. I got this for my mom’s dog, Abra. She is a Husky Pitbull mix. She gets pretty crazy sometimes, and LOVES ropes, bones, and balls. I got this for her and she absolutely LOVED IT! Y’all’s made her an absolute happy pup! It even arrived a day earlier, so I was pretty happy with that as well! I wish I could give 20 stars!
my dog loves it. i have a medium size dog. australia shepherd and he loves this thing. it’s a little big to let him play with it by him self but is great for tug of war with him. if you have 2 dogs they would have a great time
Puppy likes it. My puppy likes it and it’s nice to give to her when she tries to chew the rug corners since it’s a similar texture. She hasn’t been ripping the ends off to eat the strings so that’s nice but the vet told us to watch out for that. Honestly I would recommend that folks get a longer version so that hands can be a little farther from the pups mouth. Our dog has accidentally bitten our hands many times when we play with this since it’s not super long and I wish I had gotten a longer version – note my puppy is a 25 pound Bernese mountain dog pup so this length would probably be perfect for smaller dogs but if your dog will get bigger than I’d just invest in a longer one from the start

perfect. i have a pit mix puppy and she loves this thing, she chews pretty hard and it’s lasted well. it’s not the cutest thing anymore but it’s fun to throw around and watch her catch it. even lasted a full day in the kennel with her and remained intact 🤣

It isn’t massive, but is big enough that I don’t have to worry about her accidentally biting my son’s hand. It is durable and has held up which is a testament in and of itself considering how quickly she destroys her toys.
