Lightly built internet machine uses only Chrome browser. This lightly built laptop uses the Chrome operating system, a hybrid of Mac OS and Windows in my opinion and note that I am not an expert. I consider it to be the Chrome browser nested in its own laptop. Great for students who access Google Docs for homework and intuitive to operate. The routine for recovering a crashed operating system is ingenious and requires a thumb drive to deploy. This computer has difficulty talking to printers wirelessly as it may connect one day and then the next, not even see the printer. Battery is very good out of the box but life expectancy of it is unknown. I attempted to add Firefox by way of the system’s Linux access and it seemed to fight back and in the end, I was unsuccessful in spite of step by step instructions. System is not nearly as aesthetic as Mac OS
Best Chromebook I Have Ever Used. As an educator I have used many chromebooks. When I learned our scholl intends to assign the oldest chrombooks to us Paraeducators next year, I decided I would buy my own to use at work. I love everything about this Chromebook. The touch screen that folds all the way back, the decent size keyboard, and the touch pad doesn’t frustrate the heck out of me like others have. Honestly I use this more than my personal laptop. The video quality is amazing! It has become the screen that I like to watch my videos on instead of my phone. I was very anti-chrombook prior to buying this one. I am offically converted!
A quality product. I switched from PC to Macbook about 10 yrs ago and I really like my Mac. I’ve been wanting to replace my Galaxy tab A with a chromebook and decided on the Lenovo after a lot of searching various sites. After using this laptop for a month now, I am very pleased with its performance. A quality machine which has exceeded my expectations and in some ways, exceeds or equals my Mac. It was easy to set up and transfer data from my Mac and my android phone. It is very fast and has more features than I ever imagined. It is well built and weighs about the same as my Mac. Battery life isn’t bad and some would say could be better, but I am happy. I wish the charging cable wasn’t so cumbersome for travel but it’s not a big deal. I highly recommend this laptop.
It’s way fancier than I expected. I wanted a cheap replacement for my last chrome book, which had aged out of “updates”. I read some reviews and picked this one. It’s much nicer than I imagined it would be. Nice features such as being able to open it all the way and use it like a tablet/stand it up in A frame position for watching movies. I didn’t realize it had a touch screen as I was mostly interested in the price and good reviews rather than the bells and whistles. This is a very nice Chromebook for a great price.
Perfect computer for my son. I purchased this for my son to replace his old and dead Microsoft Surface. He mostly lives on his phone, but needed a desktop for spreadsheets and some movies and videos. This was the perfect choice–good performance, great screen and keyboard, simple OS with nearly automatic management for updates, and a much better price that a Windows machine or a Mac. He raves about it all the time.
