Such a natural glow. The product itself is a little loose so I need to be careful as I pick up the product or it will fly around. The looseness of the powder is one of the things that make it as nice as it is. At first I thought oh this is not going to cover enough, but I continued and found I did not need all the coverage I was using. I use the shade LIGHT and it is perfect. My skin is “mature” and this product makes it look so radiant in such a natural way. I have many dark spots from the Florida sun so I do concentrate on layering them with a small stiff bristle brush, but that is the charm of this makeup, whatever you see is so OK because the makeup looks so right. I am not use to such light coverage but once I apply my brows, blush and lipstick it is exactly what I wanted. I use the Loreal Glowtion beneath it, but it is just a choice of mine. I feel comfortable to suggest you try LAURA GELLER NEW YORK Award-Winning Baked Balance-n-Brighten Color Correcting Powder Foundation. My skin shade is light leaning a little bit more to med. I hope this helps as far as shades go.

Good powder. Need to use it more to get a final opinion – it’s a good powder and reasonably priced on Amazon. I think the colours are darker/warmer than I expected. I chose a shade lighter than I would normally go for and I think another shade down would be better match- it’s not terrible match, I can wear it and look normal. I got this to wear over sunscreen for low coverage easy day to day look. If I wanted to build coverage it will look too dark. if u need to build coverage get a shade or 2 lighter than you think. (I shade matched on the Laura Geller website fyi)

Light/ medium build able coverage. I provided a before and after for reference. I applied this only with moisturizer and primer on my skin , no concealer. I feel it provides that natural look that I wanted to be able to quickly have for minimal everyday coverage , and I think if I concealed first it would have been even better. I patted down the foundation into my skin to layer it quite a few times to get medium coverage. Alot of product is needed I feel like. I just got it today though I will update my review as I continue using it. All in all happy with my purchase and love Laura Geller makeup in general.

WOW. JUST WOW. 4.5 out of 5; minus a little for no color/shade samples. I’m almost 60/F, some wrinkles and a fair amount of discoloration, red spots, and sun damage, esp. on cheeks.This foundation (baked balance and brighten, color FAIR) is really easy to use. Feels like nothing, even when building. I used only basic, soft, fluffy brushes I had on hand; they worked well for light coverage, but I do think a denser brush option – like a retracting kabuki, as recommended – might work better for building.Very good coverage on bare skin (moisturizar only), pracrically perfect over an inexpensive primer. Almost all my flaws disappeared, even without concealer.Did not settle in wrinkles, either. I FEEL PRET-TY, OH-SO PRET-TY!…or, at least, “not bad for an old broad, not at all!”.I do find that using primer is better over large pores and significant discoloration, such as have I. I used a budget brand with spf 30 and the foundation went on perfectly.It’s FAST, too. The longest part if the process is waiting for the primer to dry, maybe 1-3 minutes.Found it difficult to shade match – but to be fair: When is it *not* difficult?Would be a very nice thing if Laura Geller Beauty offered an inexpensive “sampler” (say, $5.00 for just enough product for 1/2 face in two adjacent shades) to help in this process.I tried “PORCELAIN” first, but it was just a tad too light. The model wearing “FAIR” looks like an olive tone to me, whereas (I think?) I’m more peachy, like the “LIGHT” model – but I’m super pale…but … but.. hem ..haw..Seems really wasteful to open, use once and return a full product to try a color that isn’t quite right, as I have. “Samplers” would really help reduce the volume of product returns, not to mention reduce waste and carbon footprints – just sayin’.Step up,😀Laura Geller. Amazing make-up. I love this make up. I am 49, and like light weight cosmetics and an easy application routine. This stuff is AMAZING! And I don’t say that lightly. The bright and balance is silky smooth, light weight and takes no ti.e to apply.I put on my concern where I need it, blend it in and then apply my Brighten and Balance foundation with my kabuki brush. A little goes a long way and the coverage is amazing. Finish off with the Laura Geller blush, blend and apply my mascara and I am ready for the day. It only takes me minutes to feel beautiful and I am out the door.The make up lasts all day and my face feels silky smooth. The coverage is amazing too…I love this product so much I have ordered a starter set for my mother for Christmas.

Shade Porcelain. I really LOVE this product! I am a redhead, and the porcelain was a perfect match for me. It blends very well, and the coverage is light. I am 50+ and I have finally found a product that doesn’t sink into my wrinkles. I am thrilled with the results! Lasts all day and into the evening with hardly any touch up.

Very soft and light, but barely any coverage. I recently ordered a Laura Geller makeup kit that contained blush, bronzer, eyeshadow and highlighter and liked it a lot, so I ordered this foundation to see if it would be a good replacement for the liquid foundation I normally use. I also purchased a brand new retractable kabuki brush to use solely with this foundation. I am in my mid-late 50s and have fair skin. My skin has normal aging (crows feet and mouth lines, as well as freckles and a little discoloration in a couple of places) and tends to be on the dry side rather than oily. I like a “natural” sun-kissed look when wearing makeup, and that is a big part of why this brand appeals to me. Unfortunately, this foundation didn’t work for me. It took me more than double the amount of time it normally takes to apply liquid foundation, and I gave up after 3 or 4 applications with the kabuki brush because I didn’t see a difference at all in my complexion, and I didn’t have time to keep making more applications. The powder is also messy and little bits of it were escaping the container and falling onto my bathroom counter, making a mess for me to clean up. I am pretty disappointed in it, especially since I like the other Laura Geller products a lot. The high number of 4 and 5 star reviews of this product is really baffling to me.

Best powder foundation for women 30. Amazing foundation for women +40. Doesn’t settle in your fine lines, and has buildable coverage without looking cakey. The shades might be a tad darker than it shows in the ads, so you might want to go with a shade lighter than you would normally wear…. As I said, it’s easy to build up the coverage, so with more layers, it gets a little darker, which is why I would recommend going with a shade lighter than you would normally get. I’m a medium, and the medium gets too dark for me after two or three applications…. With a lighter tone, it’s easier to blend into a darker shade, if you need to. But if it’s too dark to begin with, it might be harder to tone it down…. Overall, I love this company. I’m not a heavy makeup user, and usually apply it once or twice a week , if I’m going out. So this is perfect for me, bc I prefer the natural look as opposed to the glamour makeup look that seems to be so popular now…. I don’t have the time or patience for contouring and highlighting, or baking and airbrushing… this stuff simply covers up redness and slight blemishes with one sweep of the brush, and gives a fuller coverage with each layer, without giving that cakey look that liquid foundations are so famous for. (And the reason I’m TERRIFIED of wearing makeup in general…. 😫Base lines😫) As I said, I only wear makeup 2-3 times a week, and I bought this compact 3 months ago. Regardless of how often you use it, I can guarantee it will still last longer than most powder foundations you’ve used in the past. And it feels lightweight and breathable…. Try it and you won’t be disappointed!!

Amazing, with caution. This is my second purchase of this compact foundation. I am a natural very light blonde & look best with yellow undertone shades of foundation. I had ordered the color ‘fair’ directly from the manufacturer along with coordinating products, such as their highlighting powder, primer, brushes & blush (I don’t use the blush). The color fair was perfect for me & I was amazed at how fast the makeup went on & the finished effect. I could brush it on quickly, apply a quick flick of the brightener (which I found to be a lovely compliment), completing the whole process in less than a minute. This immediately became my favorite go-to. It goes on so FAST & so SMOOTH which I found astounding considering my past experience with powder type foundations.When I saw this on Amazon, I promptly ordered another, choosing the exact same description (be sure to read the back label) & color. However, this next compact I received did not have as much of the central brighten(er) marble streak that the first compact had, which essentially changed the color a lot for me.So. I would caution that if you are as particular of your shade of foundation as I am (& after all, isn’t that one of the major reasons we wear face makeup to begin with?) you may not receive exactly the same shade each time, changing your finished effect – even though you order the same product.I went ahead & ordered the porcelain highlighter compact hoping to use it overtop of the ‘fair’ shade to lighten the color. The brightener’s recommended use is to enhance the cheekbones, nose & chin areas after applying the initial foundation. But because I’m using it to lighten the shade-too-dark foundation, it becomes a different function & adds more layers as well as time to the routine..Which kind of vetoed what I had found to be the best qualities of the makeup to begin with.And needing to buy the extra brightener compact was an added expense I didn’t expect. So once these have been used up, I’m not sure I’ll purchase it again since my former cream foundation is a perfect shade for me.Being a light skinned blonde I look for a shade that is closest to my natural color which is not an easy task. Just a tad darker & I tend to look very ‘made up’. So, if you prefer more color to your face, you may want to try this. I’ve never had a product go on more quickly & evenly with so little effort. No lines or streaks.For that feat alone, I will say that this foundation is amazing.
