Related Product Deals & User Reviews

  1. A great little coffee maker – just what I needed. I got this coffee maker after trying another brand with slightly different functions and I like this one so much better. It makes great coffee and is easy to use. Folks in some reviews mentioned a couple of complaints, so I’ll address those first: 1. The coffee is plenty hot for me right after brewing (though I don’t think I’m that picky about it). However, I have noticed that if you have a few minutes to let it sit in the pot, it definitely gets hotter and will meet the needs of those who prefer hotter coffee.; 2. Someone mentioned having trouble pouring water into the reservoir because they didn’t think the top opened far enough and it made it difficult to pour. I agree that it would be easier if the lid opened a few more degrees, but haven’t had any problem. I found that if I just pour from a little higher, I can tip the pitcher as far as I need to to empty it.; and 3. Some folks mentioned having trouble pouring from the pitcher. I think it pours beautifully. I do recommend that you not slosh it quickly into your cup or you will send coffee flying everywhere. However, pouring at what I consider a normal rate, it works great – no dripping down the pitcher. Oh, and 4. I think someone mentioned not liking that the off switch was on the side instead of the front. This coffee maker has a really small footprint, so I have mine turned so the switch faces the front and it doesn’t eat up too much counter space. I think this coffee pot is well-designed and is attractive as far as little appliances go (if you’re into cute little things). One person mentioned that they broke the liner in the reusable filter – it is something like a polyester tight-weave fabric instead of metal – so I was concerned about that. If you hold the filter by the plastic rather than pushing against that fabric when you dump the grounds, I don’t think you’ll have an issue. I’m sure it will wear out eventually though, so I bought the only reusable #2 metal filter I could find on here. As a side note, I was worried about whether it would fit. It has a plastic handle to lift it out and I think I’ll have to remove that to use this filter. Where the handle pokes through the sides of the filter, it sticks out on the outside and those little knobs keep it from sitting down in this coffee maker. I think it will be much sturdier than the one that comes with the pot, so it’s in my cabinet for when I need it. All in all, I think this is a great little coffee maker. Perfect for me since I’m the only coffee drinker in the house.

  2. Perfect. This little coffeemaker was exactly what I was looking for. While visiting my MIL she would make us a little pot of coffee every morning. Her current coffeemaker sounded like it was knocking on deaths door….literally. Gurgling, spitting and sputtering and took 10 mins to brew 5cups of water into 3.5 cups of coffee. It was fun to laugh at but miserable when you’re waiting for that first cup of the day! As soon as this coffeemaker made its way to us, I set it up and ran water through to be sure everything was in working order (you ever see how they treat pkgs when delivering?! Sheesh!) but I was thrilled when I ran a full 5 cups of water through to clean it out, not a single drip where IG wasn’t supposed to drip. I timed it too, once I was done cleaning it out. 5 min ON THE DOT to brew 5 cups. We love that it has the reusable mesh basket filter. No more wasting paper filters. Because of the mesh the taste was great. For the first time while I’m vacation out coffee tasted like actual coffee. No leaks, brews fast and no more wasting coffee grounds or filters. A HUGE WIN ALL THE WAY AROUND!! Highly recommend!

  3. It’s small. I knew this was a small capacity coffee maker, but I hoped it was just enough for two ‘large’ cups I need in the morning. It’s not. These 5 cups are are very small, so acquaint yourself with coffee makers terminology and units before buying. This coffee machine makes about 25-26 oz of coffee, which is just 1.5 of a good coffee mug.The plug is on the shorter kind. ~12-14” I think, but didn’t measure it. Perfectly fine if you have it close to the outlet.I can’t speak for the machine brewing or the brew. I didn’t use it as I knew it was too small for my needs.Just deducting one star for my disappointment in size.

  4. Perfect little coffee maker. I previously owned a Keurig but I felt the kcups were rather wasteful and the reusable kcups were a pain to clean after each use, and had to replace the machines regularly when they would just stop working in less than a year. I only drink 1-2 cups of coffee daily so when I came across this little Krups coffee maker, I was sold. It’s the perfect size for me, I have very limited counter space and it doesn’t take up much room. I like that I can just use regular paper coffee filters (tried the reusable one that came with it but still prefer the paper filters). One thing to note, when the coffee pot is completely full, pour the coffee out very slowly at first or it drips everywhere. I do wish it had an auto shut off option but I try to remember to turn it off as soon as the coffee is done brewing. Other than that I’ve had no issues since buying this over a year ago.

  5. A Good Replacement. My old old old 5 cup coffee maker died so I settled on this one. The 5 Cup, Stainless Steel Carafe did not come with it but it fits perfectly ( you can get one here on amazon). The lid has 3 little vent holes which really helps with the water build up on the inside of lid. The coffee is very hot, I pour a little cold water in mine just to cool it a bit. The reason I took one star off are two fold; No water filter and no automatic turn off if you forget. Otherwise I highly recommend.

  6. Decent cup of coffee, can be annoying to use. Nice looking coffeemaker, makes a decent cup of coffee. I like that I don’t have to buy filters, just wash and reuse the one it comes with. There are two usability issues. First is the lid will not stay open. I always have to have one hand on the lid to hold it open while adding water, coffee, or removing the filter. The second is that it’s not possible to dump all of the water in the carafe into the coffeemaker. I have to fill the carafe, watch the lines on the coffeemaker to fill to the desired level, then dump out what’s left in the sink. I moved the coffeemaker from the desired location to next to the sink because of this.

  7. The best baby of coffee makers. This is really a personal size coffee maker. Its footprint is about half a sheet of notebook paper. Krups is a solid well-known brand. In Europe a cup is 6oz. This coffee maker is marked to hold 32 oz of water to produce 30 oz of piping hot coffee. 2 oz of water is lost by soaking through the coffee grounds. It leaves plenty room for adding sugar, cream or that Starbucks effect in my 32 oz tumbler that keeps it hot all day. It’s well made and has nice looking stainless steel and black decor. The carafe is glass and pours better than our bigger one. It has a removable filter cup that holds a removable permanent filter with its own cute little handles. It’s not made to easily use #2 paper filters. I’ll buy a 2nd permanent filter now before I really need it. The whole backside of the coffee maker is the water reservoir. Everything is designed for quick, easy use and clean-up except the cord is 2 feet long and not removable.I can travel with this little one. Put it in my office. It makes a nice gift. Perfect for dorm rooms, tiny kitchens, or 1-2 people. I can share a generous 16 oz with someone and have one myself. I added a little hand-cranked coffee grinder. It has 6 grind settings. 2 fills grinds all the coffee needed and takes a minute to do both. We have an electric grinder. It’s loud and not something you want to hear in early morning. With 2 lbs of coffee beans I put it all in a small carryon luggage duffle bag. The best part is I make great tasting coffee or tea anywhere I want without disturbing anyone and it’s so much cheaper. No more gas station or fast food coffee for me.UPDATE: I just want to say I have none of the problems others have reported. No drips, spills, or overflows. The filter and filter cup both snap in to stay without forcing or relying on the lid. Water reservoir openings are large and can fill from left or right side. It’s all one area. This Krups doesn’t auto turnoff but the warming plate will shutoff after 1 hour. It has auto pause for a quick pour. But I’ve never had a time when I can’t wait for a pot to finish. This one is only 30oz. I think some complaints didn’t get genuine Krups. This one has real metal and quality plastic parts where shown. Lookalikes are a very bad problem worldwide. Premium brands get nailed by bad reviews because customers think their product is genuine and don’t question it. We have a Cuisinart at home with all the features. Just like cable TV, we use only 4 all the time. Hope this update adds comparison.

  9. I have purchased this small little coffee maker back in 2020 during the pandemic and I’m still using it 4 years later! It functions perfectly, it has never broken down, extremely easy to clean and no hassle! I have been meaning to post a review for so many years now, but I had forgotten to do it until recently. If you are looking for a small coffee maker that doesn’t take too much counter space, looks stylish with silver accent, comes with a re-usable filter, makes quick coffee and is easy to clean, you must purchase this one. You don’t even need to think about whether to buy it, it is cheap and will last you years! For the price range, this is definitely a steal.I have attached a photo where it shows how small the coffee maker actually is in comparison to a ninja blender and a coffee mug from Ikea. I have been enjoying this coffee maker and I hope others can do the same. I wanted to mention that this is ideal for one person, mainly if you need a couple of cups on a daily basis. For the size, quality of coffee it makes, functionality and aesthetics, I rate this 5/5!

  10. Good value, nice size, brews a good few cups quickly. This is a quality coffee maker for a decent price. It’s fast and brews a nice cup of joe. The size is excellent. If you’re not careful or if it’s off balance, the lid WILL close on its own (I’m sloppy and it happens, so I use a bamboo skewer to hold it open.) It looks OK. TBH, unless the color is hideous (you know what I mean), all coffee makers look almost identical.I prefer using #2 paper filters rather than the mesh basket. They fit, of course. My only gripe is my fault – I mistakenly thought it had auto-shut-off. Totally my fault, and not a deal breaker. Can I find a cheaper coffee maker? Yes. Can I find a better coffee maker? Yes. Is this worth the price? Absolutely yes.

  11. Simplicity of design and use. I love this coffee maker. It is simple to use with just one button and makes enough for when I have houseguests-they can even figure out how to use it if they get up before I do. Most 10-12 cup coffee makers have all kinds of buttons, timers and a clock that has to be reset if you unplug it or the electricity is interrupted. I don’t need or want a timer because I am not always certain when I will get up and I don’t like water to sit in the coffee maker overnight allowing microorganisms to grow. The auto-off function is useful if I forget to turn it off. The quality of the coffee is good, even if only making one cup. I have had this coffee maker a year now and it continues to work well. In short this coffee maker has all the features I want and none that I find superfluous.

  12. Compact, easy to use. Takes up a lot less space than our old Mr. Coffee. I think it makes better coffee too. One button, nice and simple. I also like the slightly staggered fill lines on the carafe: fill to HERE with water and you’ll get THIS much coffee.

  13. This little coffee maker rocks. It’s small, it’s basic, but makes excellent coffee. My husband drinks decaf, I drink regular. Both of us rate the strength and taste as excellent. The coffee is kept HOT on the warmer, so I don’t have to microwave to warm my second cup. Very pleased.

  14. Great size and appearance, a little tough to add water. Love the coffee maker and would buy again, but would be 5 stars if the provided coffee pot could easily pour water into the back of the unit. The water opening is small and the coffee pot is big and the flap on the back does not fold down far enough to get the pot close enough to turn it over to get the last drops of water…i end up tipping the remaining water, about one small sip, onto the grinds. That said, great looking and perfect size: small footprint and not too tall. gr8 German minimalist styling.

  15. Great little coffee maker. This is the perfect size for a small kitchen. It’s easy to use, makes a delicious cup of coffee, and looks cute sitting on my counter.

  16. Satisfied Customer December 15, 2024 at 12:00 am

Looks Nice, Works Nice. This is a beautiful coffee maker, works great and is compact in size. The retail price was a little to high for me until Amazon came through with a 31% discount. Very efficient with the coffee. Has a one hour automatic shut-off. One minor negative would be that the fill lid takes a little bit of finger pressure to snap/click open. This would likely get better with use, but I like to easily flip open the cover with one finger. I ended up bending the tab on the cover ever so slightly to allow really easy opening with one finger. This is a very minor thing. I’m not into looks much, but this thing does look beautiful on a kitchen counter. It cleans easy and tends to stay clean. At the discount price, 5 stars. Full price, I’m giving it 4 stars for the price point. Still a very nice item, highly recommend.

  17. Perfectly sized. I’m the only one at home that drinks coffee. This coffee maker is perfectly sized for my kitchen and gives me the perfect cup of morning coffee in a short amount of time.Couple of cons- it leaks when I pour a cup during the cycle so I have to wipe the coffee off the plate before returning the pot and it doesn’t not turn off automatically- I have to remember to turn it off manually

  18. Cone-shaped filter makes all the difference. I have always preferred a cone filter over a basket style; it brews more flavorful coffee. I was really pleased to find this small coffee maker (I’m the only one in my house that drinks coffee) for such a good price. It looks really nice on my countertop. It has just an on/off switch, no timer, nothing fancy, but that’s perfect for me. I am using Melita coffee filters rather than the reusable filter it came with, but nice that it was included along with coffee scoop. Only two minor notes: the top does not stay up, so to air it out after brewing, I prop it open with the cone after dumping the grounds. Also, it’s a little tricky to pour water in without spilling, but not a huge deal. Overall I’m very happy with this and prefer it over my last one (a Mister Coffee small maker, basket style, the on/off button quit working).

  19. Downgrade turned out to be an upgrade. I opted for the Krupps based on reviews and it was 1/3 the price of my previous brewer. The Krupps brewer checked most of the boxes for my preferences in a brewer.Pros:Brewing water is the proper temp.Brewing water fully saturates the grounds, releasing maximum flavor.Brewing time is appropriate, to accomplish the above.Hot plate stays warm for 60 minutes. Coffee stays a drinkable temp for another 15-20 minutes.Pause and pour.Reusable filter.Auto shut-off.Stylish and compact.Low price.Good quality.Krupps.Cons:The flip side of not having to buy filters is having to clean a reusable filter. The rear hinged lid stands vertical when open, and tends to crowd the water basin opening. No bells and whistles. (clock, auto-start, etc.)After using this product for a while I am adding a couple of comments. More of an annoyance than a Con.- The auto-shut off timer is set for one hour. This is not enough time for me personally. My fix is to shut the unit off as I am pouring my second cup (about 30 min from start) then turning it back on. This seems to reset the timer giving me about 1.5 hours of hot coffee.- The last cup of coffee will always have some very fine coffee grounds in it. I’ve adjusted my grinder to a courser grind which helped a little but the finest of grounds still sneak through. Paper filters may end up becoming the alternative.Overall, pleasantly pleased.

  20. Quality coffee in a small footprint. I really love this little coffee maker. It’s small so it doesn’t take up a ton of room on my countertop, and it makes really nice hot coffee. It’s easy to use and easy to clean. I set it up the night before, and have it all ready to switch on in the morning. By the time I brush my teeth and I’m ready for coffee it’s all set to go. I can’t really ask for more in a simple drip coffee maker.

  21. Great vaLue…great coffee pot. Glad it resides in my kitchen. Should have chosen this years ago! I have the two cup and it is perfect. I like everything about it – the ease of preparing the coffee for the next morning, the ability to pour a cup before the brewing is finished, the second cup kept hot without that awfUl taste, the easy clean up, just the perfect coffee maker.

  22. Quality at a Bargain Price. LOVE this coffee maker — it is easy to use, compact, and makes better coffee than a previous much more expensive one -and the silver is a stylishly fit with my stainless appliances A critical reason I chose this maker is that the hot plate stays on for 2 full hours — double what most coffee makers will do. I also like the compact size– it’s several inches in all directions smaller than similar ones I compared. Other reviews indicate it’s slow, but it doesn’t take any longer than my 5 cup pot (brewed both on medium), and I like that I can set the brew strength. Unlike some folks, I also found it easy to pour water into the reservoir and coffee into my cup. Great value for the cost, ability to adjust brew strength , and programmability. I used a paper filter instead of the permanent one — #4 worked great and only brew only 5 cups most days — tastes great either way.

  23. One button and coffee’s made. :). Simple like it says on the box. Make coffee and that’s it. Push the button and bam there’s an awesome cup of coffee. That’s all it does outside of cutting it’s self off after an hour. I saw some people talking about the light weight carafe. Love the fact that it’s light weight. Perfect. I don’t like using a permanent filter but the #4 filters work stupid good. The only thing I’d like is a front fill so I wouldn’t have to pull it out from under the cabinet to use it. Not a deal breaker though I’d buy it again.

  24. little difficult to refill the water. This is a good little pot. I searched a long time for a 5 cup pot that has the cone filter instead of the basket because I believe it makes better coffee. My only complaint is that the lid only opens to a 90 degree angle and the water reservoir is along the back. That makes pouring into the small reservoir area a little tricky. I can’t turn the coffee pot up enough to completely empty it into the back. I either use a different container to fill the reservoir or I just dump the little water left in the pot when I’m refilling. The small inconvenience is worth the effort since it has all my other requirements. It brews adequately hot, quick, and has an auto-shut off.

  25. Small but fully functional for a simple drip cup of Joe. Not too big so it doesn’t eat up counter space. Nice design makes a good cup of coffee. The filter is pretty basic though. Likely will buy an upgraded one. Overall pretty solid.

  26. Charlie Gregor June 12, 2025 at 12:00 am

Brews a good cup of coffee. I like it for its compact design, ease of use, and ability to brew a good cup of coffee. However, I find the lid doesn’t stay open during filling, and the lack of an automatic shutoff feature is a drawback.

  27. Favorite reason to wake up every morning. I’m a coffee enthusiast. With any hobby, you can spend SO MUCH MONEY, and you reach a point of diminishing returns. Coffee is no exception. However, this coffee maker meets the perfect mix of value and performance. It is easy to use, and every cup of coffee is consistent, hot, and flavorful, providing you make it in the same way. The machine itself looks quite nice. The three buttons, right to left are:Power – turns it on. Turns it offHalf Capacity – This does something with the warming plate when you make a smaller pot. I make 750mL a day, which comes to be 5 cups on this machine. I keep it turned on.Blooming – This alters the brew cycle to pour some water over the grounds… pause for a while, then brews the rest of the pot. I’m undecided on this feature, but my girlfriend prefers it.Use and cleanup is easy.1. Pour water into the water reservoir (max 1250mL) Tip: I use a pitcher that only ever contains clean water for this. Instead of using the carafe like is common. This helps everything stay cleaner, longer.2. Add beans into a cone filter. Put that filter in the container.3. Turn it on. Wait a bit. Drink Coffee4. Toss grounds, rinse stuff off, let it dry for tomorrowIf you’re this far in the review, you’re probably someone looking to increase their coffee game. And you’ve probably read about ratios of beans to water etc. 1:16, 1:17, 1:18 etc. I actually prefer mine on the weaker side (so I can drink more without getting jittery!) And with quality ingredients and equipment, you don’t need to make a cup of sludge to have any flavor. My preferred ratio 1:18, or with numbers — 40g of beans. 750mL of water. Finally if you’re still reading, here’s my personal ranking of what makes good coffee:1. Good water2. Good whole bean coffee3. Grinding your beans right before brewing in a4. Good grinder5. Measure your beans and water and keep it consistent6. The coffee makerSo yeah, it makes a difference, but not as much as like the first 3 do. This was the last piece of coffee equipment I upgraded, from just an old Mr. Coffee drip, and it is better. but not as night & day difference as switching to whole beans ground early.

  28. Great coffee maker. Wish the carafe and water tank were larger. I have made coffee with the Krups coffee maker for the past 7 mornings. Over the past decade, I’ve relied on a French Press and have always ground my own coffee beans. It took a while to figure out the right proportions, especially since I needed to use a finer grind. I’ve finally adapted to the Krups. The coffee maker looks good and fits well on the counter. It is compact and doesn’t overwhelm the area. This is my routine: I use 40 grams of quality (Peet’s) whole bean coffee which I grind on a medium setting. I fill the carafe with 48 ounces of water (1420ml) which I weigh (1360 gm) so I can have a consistent tasting cup of coffee every morning. It took several days to get the proportions correct. Using a French Press required more coffee beans to achieve the desired strength. (Forty-eight ounces of water brings the top past the maximum line and just to the bottom of the little hole in the water tank. I had no problem with this at all.) If you are a coffee enthusiast, and taste and consistency matter to you, it is important to use premium coffee beans that you grind immediately before use, fresh cold water and the same proportions each time (adjusted to your taste.) There is no more fine silt at the bottom of my cup that you get with a French Press. The coffee brews fast, though I haven’t tried the ½ anti-drip function that makes a slower, stronger pot. I find the strength with no anti-drip to be just fine. Having coffee with the perfect strength matters to me—it shouldn’t be overpowering, but it also can’t be watery or too weak. The coffee is rich and robust, and I think the Krups machine enhances its flavor well. I have used the “blooming button” each time because I was intrigued by the “extra fullness and character” that the instruction booklet claims the blooming provides. The concept of releasing some water to soak the beans and then continuing the brewing process seemed to make sense. You can try both ways and see if there is a difference. Clean-up is quick. You just slide out the filter holder containing the grinds and dump them. Then wash the carafe. For me, there is a negative with this coffee maker. When I read 8-cup coffee maker I thought 8 American cups where a cup is usually a mug or at the very least, 8 oz. Not the case with this coffee maker. We are two people. Between us, we drink at least two full mugs of coffee each morning. One carafe of this coffee maker makes eight 4oz. cups. Every morning, I need to repeat the process twice since I brew a carafe and a half to ensure there’s enough coffee for both of us. This coffee maker would be perfect if the water tank were larger so that a larger carafe of coffee could be brewed. There is one final note. There is no mention of coffee filters in the write up on Amazon so I didn’t know that even 1 or 2 complimentary filters were not included. Hence, a run to the grocery store the first morning. Also, no mention of the filter type in the instruction booklet either, although there is a Q & A on the Amazon page where it explains it uses a paper filter, cone type, #4. Be careful, the instruction booklet has a few typos and partial sentences that you need to use common sense to fill in. Enjoy your coffee!!

  29. A Good Basic Coffee Maker. This basic Krups 10-cup coffee maker is fine. Disregard the A.I. voice from Amazon because it incorrectly says this model has a delay timer and offers the choice of 3 brew strengths. This model has no such features, but brews up to 10 cups of coffee at a time. You can use the included permanent filter or a #4 paper filter. The model shuts off automatically after an hour and has a smaller footprint than most other 10-cup machines. That’s why I bought it. It’s a good basic coffee maker.Note: I bought this machine through “Amazon Resale,” always a good way to save money. It was listed in “Used–Mint” condition. That sounds like “Like New” to me. Since it was missing a spoon and I could see a few coffee grounds on the filter and machine–just a little bit–I would have listed it as in “Excellent Condition.” This isn’t a deal-breaker for me. I’m keeping it, hoping it lasts for as long as my last Krups machine–13 years, until I dropped the glass carafe on the floor.

  30. Great little coffee maker. I am reviewing the smaller 5-cup coffee maker. It is simple and it works really well doing what it should do — brew a delicious cup of coffee. However, be warned that the 5 “cups” is 5 oz., so a full pot brewed is not going to take care of 5 people. It will provide 2 large cups of coffee, perfect for a couple.
