  1. Three useful functions in one is great. This is so useful. I mainly use it for checking the moisture level and soil and it goes into a depth equal to any food plant I grow. It’s quick, it’s easy, it saves me having to dig down two four or six inches to manually take a look at and feel the soil. I will on rare occasions use it to check the pH and if so nice to be able to do something this quick rather than have to do a soil test myself but would take a samples and letting it dry and then running the test. I can do this in seconds. I can’t attest to the accuracy of the pH cuz I haven’t compared it but it seems like a good instrument. The Sunshine part I haven’t used very much at all so I can’t say much about it. I very much like the this requires no batteries because it works off of bimetals. The only negative I’ve had is the dial while being nice and compact as also relatively tough to read for my older eyes. But I’ve pretty much memorized the range that I expect to see for needs water, doesn’t need water and oh my God it’s soaked. A really good product and I’m very happy with the price. I’m looking for some sort of case to protect it although right now I’m using the box that came in. Too long probes a pretty strong but I would feel better if when I put it in with my other gardening tools it was in a case. I’d pay more if it came with a case.

  3. i don’t kill plants now like i used to. my mother is in hospice care at our home so to brighten up things for her we moved all her houseplants here for her to be surrounded by. problem was i was killing at least one of those plants on a weakly basis. either too much of too little water. then i’d end up having to buy a new plant to take the place of the recently killed one/s.i don’t have any use for the ph meter so i can’t say much on that one. however the one for water worked out great. it really does work as advertised. i did have to remind myself at first to wipe down the metal ‘stake’ with a paper towel after each use to get the most accurate results for the next pot.for the longest time i thought i was good at determining when to water plants and when not to but i wasn’t so good at that obviously. this tool works great and not having to deal with batteries makes it even better imho. they are well made and easy to read results. i would not hesitate to purchase again if needed.

  4. It Works. Some don’t, this one does. Simple and good enough for my gardening. My Blueberries are happily living in a properly acidic soil.Tested in conjunction with chemicals and accurate enough.

  5. Easy to use. Could not be more simple. I have no idea how accurate they are so I can’t give them a 5 star. Nothing to compare them to but I have adjusted soil ph according to test results and after testing indicates changes occurred, so I am good.

  6. Good for a few uses. I am not sure how accurate these are but the pH meter tip broke off in my soil. I was using it the morning after a good rain shower and on about the 10th or 15th probe I realized it felt different as I wiped the soil off. Thays when I noticed the tip missing. The moisture meter seems to still hold up and definitely showed wet after the rain and showed dry in the dryer parts of the yard. But I’d have to say I could do the same check by eyeball so I’m not sure these meters are necessary.

  7. Best option. These are great in so many ways. In expensive, don’t need batteries, and can be used over and over again, unlike chemical options.

  8. Great product. I have been struggling to know what amount of moisture my lemon tree has during the summer. When I read a review of this product, I thought I would try it. It is absolutely amazing!

  9. These probe-based units are all garbage. I bought his Kensizer unit in 2022 as my backyard floods when it rains and is generally pretty wet. I have tons of moss growing. If you google that problem they say wet and highly acidic soil is bad for turf, good for moss. Since I can’t fix the fact that my backyard is the lowest spot in the neighborhood, I’m trying to control for PH. So i bought this tester that said my entire back yard was heavily acidic. I lay down heavy amounts of lime. Rinse and repeat. This green tester kept reading max acid levels even after many bags of lime over time. And the moss kept spreading. I bought this other meter by AiGerdinn from Amazon in Mar’24:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CSFLZJ6B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1, which is the white one shown in the images. It shows my backyard Ph is normal (!?). In the first image, AiGerdinn reads Ph:5, Kenzier says 9 (worst acid level). In the 2nd, AiGerdinn read Ph 6, Kenzier: 1. In the 3rd, AiGerdinn: 6, Kensizer: 1My conclusion is that none of these probe-based soil testers work. I’m going to try a paper-test kit next.Update: April1’24: I bought and tried the Dewilde soil test paper strips and as suspected, all the lime I put down resulted in an Alkaline score of 9.0, i.e. no acidity. Now that I’ve looked at a few of these, it seems the Kensizer dual probe (green one) has the “Acid” label on the wrong side of their meter. And the AiGerdinn (single probe) just doesn’t work – it’s always in the middle of the scale so not detecting pH variations hardly at all.

  12. No batteries needed. Nice and simple. I didn’t notice that there were two different testers. One is for ph and the other one is for moisture. They work fine. My soil was way more acidic than I thought.

  13. Green Thumb Helper. I purchased 2 plants and felt I needed some assistance to keep them healthy. This soil and moisture tester is just the thing! I doubt they would still be green and upright without this handy gadget. I keep the testers by the pot and check levels every Tuesday. I highly recommend the Kensizer tester. Very easy to use.

  14. Easy to use very affordable. There are a pair in the box one moister one PH testerI’m not sure how to test if the ph is working but the moister works perfect

  15. These work great. Comes with two probes! So handy and seems accurate!

  16. Water guage for plants. Works well when we remember to use the gauge.

  17. Water guage for plants. Works well when we remember to use the gauge.

  18. Excellent. I’ve used these for 2 years in our greenhouse and found them to always be accurate and easy to use. The greenhouse didn’t last (blizzard) but these did and are ready for next time.

  20. They do the job well. My plants are enjoying what they need now that I’m not just guessing. Easy to use, made well.
