Does what you expect it to do. I found this product fairly easy to use in comparison to other smart products. The app worked well and didn’t have trouble finding the bulb after a few flicks of the switch to get into into discovery mode. The Alexa integration let me set a schedule. I put this down in my basement to provide some soft light from a lamp during hours that it is dark. It’s been running on its own down there for about a month, and I’m pleased with the effect.
Replaced my conventional sensor light for good. For many years I had a light post outside of my house nearby the address sign. I used to turn it on and off from the inside, but often I forget to tun it off, so I decided to put the light bulb on a socket with a light sensor so that the light would be on from dawn to dusk. The light post is surrounded by trees and over the years the area has become very shaded and because the sensor could not be pointed to a well-lit area the light would stay on all day long and I ended up having to replace the light bulb often until I came across this smart light bulb. At first, I was a bit skeptical because the post was not close to my Wi-Fi router and there were walls between them. To my amazement, I was able to configure the smart light bulb to join my local Wi-Fi network without an issue. Now, I can control not just the brightness but also from dawn to dusk! I configured the use of energy to be low so it should last for a couple of years. This is a great invention.
Reliable and easy to install. Just replaced my Sengled smart lights with hub-less Kasa lights as I’m tired of my lights disconnecting from the hub every time there is a power outage and requiring me to add them back on the app and link back to Alexa. Kasa lights automatically reconnect to the internet instantly and keep their settings. The app is easy to use and the lights automatically connect to Alexa. Great product.
Great light. I have these scattered around my house in lamps. You can dim them and also control them with the KASA app or through Alexia.

Perfect for dining room fixture. Saw these on sale and decided to give them a chance. Glad I did! This was my first foray into smart lightbulbs. They helped solve a particular problem in my apartment. My dining room light fixture is controlled by a non-dimmable Z-Wave smart switch. I don’t have control over the hub, so I can’t replace the switch. Not without incurring the wrath of my landlord, anyway. Not being able to dim that light was miserable.Smart bulbs ending up being an ideal solution. The Kasa app works great, and is almost as convenient as a physical dimmer. Sometimes it’s better, since I don’t have to get up from the table. The app *does* allow three bulbs to be linked and dimmed as one, which is essential for my application.Setup was easy as well. Each bulb starts in access point mode. First you log into each one and give it your Wi-Fi credentials. Then you add them in the Kasa app and group them as needed. Very slick.These also excel as lightbulbs. Color temperature is perfect. The 90+ CRI rating is believable. Dimming is smooth and incredibly fine grained, with no flickering at lower levels. I can dial in anything from candlelight to full light suitable to work by.I’ve been using these bulbs daily for five months, with no issues. I’m very pleased with them and would buy them again in a heartbeat.

My only complaint is that after a power failure they turn on. Is there a way to stop this? I submitted an online request for help and was told that the volume of help requests was unusually high and was told to go to a chat session. I haven’t had time to do this. The color options are nice but I rarely use them. They also don’t seem as bright as other bulbs I’ve used.

WAYYY BETTER THAN PHILLIPS HUE. Bought these to FINALLY replace my GARBAGE Phillips hue bulbs. Those have been nothing but trouble always randomly disconnecting from google app and not being able to fix them. Factory reset everything still not working. Randomly will start working again.I had enough. Ordered these to replace that junk. SUPER simple setup, less than 5 minutes. Work perfect with google and have been flawless since setup. Brightness and color is also similar. Thinking about buying many more for the amazing price.
Best smart bulbs at a good price. Easy to set up.with Kasa and the price is always reasonable.compared to most. They also last forever as I’ve had others for over 4 years and not one has even burned out yet. Love the dimmable features and Alexa control ability. Plus they are very bright when you want them to be. In the picture I have 2 under that fixture and they can be controlled together or 1 at a time for power and brightness.
Bright and easy to pair. As has been my experience with previous Kasa smart products, this was very easy to pair using the Kasa app. Once added to your Kasa account you can quickly add it to your Alexa or Google Home account. The light is fairly bright and the warm white color pleasing on the eye. It is dimmable using the app or from Google Home or Alexa or any other home automation. I use it for my porch light and have programmed Google to switch it on after sunset and off again at sunrise. It serves well in this role. The issue with these bulbs is always longevity. I will update this review if the bulb stops working in a less than reasonable time frame. Till then I am very satisfied.

Awesome light. Do to it taking me just a bit to get in and out of a chair I thought I would give this smart bulb a try, and I’m sure glad I did..It was very easy to set up after downloading their kasa app. I have it linked to my Alexa and it is awesome to tell Alexa when to turn the light off and on.. I can also tell Alexa to dim the light or brighten the light if I wish to do so and it works perfectly!!

Solid dependable smart lights for use with Google Home. I have used C by GE smart lights with Google Home for many years but they sporadically and often would not respond to commands. However, I noticed smart devices that were by other manufacturers still responded during these annoying outages. So, after just dealing with this undependability for far too long, I switched all of the C by GE lights (20 bulbs) with these Kasa lights. The setup was a breeze and they simply work. The Kasa app is easy to use and the devices easily connected with the Google Home app.Going on a tangent here and ranting about the buggy nature of Google Home. It often goes offline and then magically comes back online. Pretty frustrating. Even more so is the fact the Google Home app doesn’t give you an easy way to remove old devices (like the 20 GE bulbs) from your home setup. They literally removed the “remove” option from the device settings. I mean, WTF? Who thought that was a good idea at Google HQ? I had to create a whole other “Home” then move these old bulbs over to that new bogus home rather than being able to simply remove them.Anyway, getting back to these Kasa lights… They are great and I would highly recommend them to anyone that is sick of their lights from other manufacturers not working consistently with Google Home.
Great value, easy to use. Full control with Alexa and their app. You need the app, but it’s easy to use. I have three bulbs over the kitchen island and a couple of lamps in the same room (combined area family room and kitchen.) So I have three zones – “island” “living room” and “kitchen.” I just say “Alexa turn on the island” and I have light. Great when walking in with arms full of groceries. Occasionally they do lose sync – two will turn on and one won’t. Then I have to use the light switch to power cycle them. You should also tell your landlord you have these if you rent. Why? Mine came in to do some repairs – I knew he was coming. I was not home, and he kept flicking the light switch on and off to get the bulbs to light. He assumed there was a problem. Well, can you guess what the procedure is to do a reset on the bulbs? Flip the switch a few times! So when I got home I had to recreate the group, re-link the bulbs, etc.
Great smart bulbs. I originally bought the Phillips and once they came I realized I needed the hue bridge to be able to turn my lights on from other locations. With these you don’t need anything else! The app is really easy to use. I can put the lights on a schedule so I don’t have to worry about it or I can manually turn them on and off from the app when I’m not home! The only annoying this is, I also have an app for the Tapo link camera I have and when I downloaded the Kasa app for the lights my accounts synced. So just beware because it links your passwords too. Now though I have my lights and my camera on the same app if I want to access it all there. Not sure how long the bulbs will last but they are great so far. Able to turn the brightness down or too to your liking as well.
Great Dimming Features, But Missing Away Mode. The Kasa Smart Light Bulb offers excellent dimming options, voice control, and energy monitoring, making it versatile for any activity. However, I was disappointed to find the advertised ‘away mode’ missing from the app. This feature was a key reason for my purchase, and its absence is a significant drawback.
