  1. This Stuff Ain’t Cheep, But Is It Worth It. I have been away from my hairdresser for four long years. I fly to see her twice a year if I’m lucky and have had to rely on myself for balayage here and there, which can be scary! I am a researcher ( = maybe obsessive) and have used Oleplex 1 in my bleach as recommended, but was really looking for more. More moisture, softer hair. We have hard hard water here, though we soften and filter it, and who knows if it is my aging or crap water responsible for turning my hair to less-than-silky. Anyway, I bought this after watching my favorite Behind the Chair colorist. It isn’t cheap, obviously, and yeah, I was a bit unnerved at how feather-light the bottle was out of the box. But, I wanted to try it, and it did not disappoint. I first used it on my dry ends overnight, combing it through with a touch of water until my ends were damp then twisted my long hair in a top bun. The scent is light and pleasant. The product is NOT oily. I let my hair down late morning and the ends were…soft…much, much softer than before. My intent was to get my ends in the best condition before I bleach a few pieces. Two days later (the day of coloring) I added four pumps of K18 to my hair, all over, prior to bleaching. I did not rinse. The bleached pieces, after toning, were MUCH softer than with Oleplex 1 alone. While it is too expensive to share (I hide it from my daughters) I plan on having it on hand for myself.

  2. This seems to really work! I see a difference. My hair is not bleached or colored, but it has gone gray and is more fragile than it used to be. Because of weeks of stying with a blow dry brush a year ago, my hair suffered breakage and split ends. While growing my hair out, trying to keep the ends trimmed, the frizzies and dry, crunchy hair ends continued to haunt me. I have tried other conditioners which have helped, most notably Virtue Recovery shampoo and conditioner) , but my layered hair, which I always let air dry, now, continued to go to frizz. I have used K-18 three times, so far, and have had definite, trending improvement: my hair is softer, and is getting silkier. I did not condition my hair after washing, because per instruction, the K-18 would not be able to penetrate the hair shafts of my towel dried hair if a shower conditioner were used before the K-18.So: These last three times that I have washed my hair (the length now goes down to my bra strap) , I towel dried it, applied one pump of K-18 to my hand, rubbed the palms of my hands together back and forth (according to a video demo) until the k-18 turned white on my palms and fingers, and applied it to my hair from roots to ends, and repeated that process two more times (one pump, rub hands together till white, apply to hair; one pump, rub hands together, apply to hair). Then I waited the 4 minutes per instructions. After those 4 minutes I was able to comb my hair without experiencing any tangles! I let my hair air dry. For a little extra moisture, I do apply 2 drops of the Virtue hair oil rubbed into my hands and work that into my hair from halfway down to the very ends of my hair. With this routine my hair is transforming before my eyes. The K-18 added to my regime has made a dramatic difference. I look forward to how my hair will look when I use it the next two times. The K-18 company recommends using it for 5 times in a row of hair washing, then after that using it as needed. I am keeping this. It is working for my hair. As I stated earlier, my hair is softer and is getting silkier.

  3. Product is very small & pricey. I made the mistake of getting my hair done/ bleached while going through postpartum & felt very dry & damaged afterwards, I came across this product on tiktok & wanted to try it out to see if it would help my hair out since I’m already losing it due to pp.As soon as I opened the package my initial thought was the product is very small for the price you pay but I was willing to give it try to see if it worked, based off the reviews I read it seemed like a good product, I’ve only been using this for about 2 weeks now but only wash my hair once a week, I can’t really say it’s helped my hair feel all that better, it’s maybe brought it back to life a little bit but then again It hasn’t been long since I started using it so I’ll come back & update in a few weeks.

  4. Switch back and forth to this and Olaplex. Your hair gets used to products so I clarify and then use this and Olaplex. I change it up every other month and my hair is in fine condition, never better!I wouldn’t say it’s better than Olaplex, just different. They both do a great job of conditioning. Don’t think it will fix split ends cause nothing fixes that you have to get a haircut. What this does is help make your hair thicker looking and fuller so it looks healthier. This is so expensive so if you have long hair you’ll need about 5 pumps. I have shoulder length and I need 4 pumps to completely saturate my hair so it’s expensive!

  5. Magic in a bottle. So my hair was damaged by heat n color damage and looked really dry. I had an overseas trip in the Caribbean to Trinidad and ended up going to a hairdresser there for a function, she immediately told me how to care for my hair and told me use k18 repair mask and try and use the shampoo and oil as well now she had it really expensive and saw my hesitation so she said well when you go back to the us see if you can order it online and use it. I ended up buying the shampoo repair mask and oil. And let me tell you in two days of just using this product its mind blowing the blatant dryness just disappeared like I said Magic in a bottle. You get what you pay for. It pricey but it worked so I’m glad I invested in my hair. I would recommend. If you Dont have the money save up and before you know it you could buy it so invest in your hair care it worked for me n I’m very happy!

  6. I never thought I could love a leave in. I’ve tried many a leave in conditioner and they always left my hair feeling heavy and sticky. They just weren’t right for my hair type, which is thinning, damaged, and dry. I also live in the very humid state of Florida. I watched a YouTuber who happened to have gorgeous hair, but had nothing to do with the beauty industry. She had gotten a lot of questions on her hair and recommended this. I’m soooo glad I hit buy it now! This is the best conditioner, hair mask, and leave in conditioner I’ve ever used. I’ve been using for about 3 weeks and I only wash about 1-2 times per week. In this 3 weeks, I suddenly have shine, volume, and no longer feel a need to blow out my hair, or curl, or iron it. I simply blow dry my roots about 10 minutes after applying from mid length to ends. Let the rest air dry and holy cow, the difference!! I’ll wrap it up in a soft scrunchie once dry for sleeping and when I wake up, it looks like I had it professionally done! The shedding had been much less since I started using. I don’t know if that’s from this or just a natural cycle and to be fair, I also dyed my hair from copper back to my natural dark brown. But this is now a forever staple in my hair routine. The smell is pleasant and not overbearing. My hair feels stronger, and I’m not finding the tangles I once was. My hair used to be so dry that I couldn’t get a brush through it.

  7. Best leave in I’ve ever used. I never write reviews, but this is a product worth mentioning. This product has changed my hair game. I have been using for a few months & my long hair (to my hips) has never been softer. I can tell a major difference in the overall health of my hair. My hair is fine and it does not weigh it down. The price is a little higher than I like BUT if you want something that actually works its worth the price!! I would give more than 5 stars if possible!

  8. Two years later and my hair has never felt better. I’ve been on quite the hair journey. It started at my waist, and damaged from years of bleaching. Then the big chop, but continued processing so the split ends never quite went away. Finally I started using this perfectly as the instructions say for initial use then maintenance and Y’ALL there’s not a split end on my whole head now.Two years of growth and I have completely cut off everything processed and used this k18 treatment twice every week as recommended. My hair looks thicker (because no dead ends!), it’s super soft and smells sooooo good (I rub the excess from my palms on my neck like a perfume/lotion won’t lie), and it adds a nice shine to any styles you do after! To use it you just apply to slightly damp hair (there’s a sweet spot of wetness you gotta find) and just run it through your hair and use a brush to disperse. It also has detangling properties so it’s super easy. I have a thin straight hair type that likes to tangle so I normally don’t try to brush it wet but this is sooo silky. It’s expensive sure, BUT you use so little even for a LOT of hair. Using too much isn’t recommended so that’s another sweet spot. The little bottle lasts me about 6 months and the larger one over a year. I’ve bought both!!

  9. A Former Scene-Queen’s Best Tool. Like many DIY hair enthusiasts, I did most of my trial and error on my teenage hair during my scene-queen days. As an adult, I’ve taken a bit less risk with my hair but I do still love changing it up with different vivids regularly! (It’s not a phase, mom!) Jokes aside, I’ve done all sorts of processing on my hair in the last year. Level 7 blonde to a full level 10, to lilac, to deep purple, back to level 7/8 blonde, to blue, to copper, now burgundy. I tried K-18 for the first time after accidentally letting my ADHD get the best of me while doing my hair and leaving bleach (with 30 vol… I know… I know..) on for too long. There is no way around the need to cut off dead/fried ends in time, but K-18 made it so I cut off significantly less! In just 2-3 treatments, you almost couldn’t tell anything had happened. The bottom half inch of my hair or so is the only portion that seems more damaged than the rest and K-18 is already working it’s wonders. If you did the absolute most on your hair and need a temporary fix while you wait for growth to allow for more trimming, this is your best bet! Although pricey, a little goes a really long way. On shoulder-blade length hair, I only needed 2-3 pumps. I cut my hair just above my shoulders recently and now I only need 1-2 pumps.Admittedly, I don’t follow the directions to the T. I struggle with not conditioning my hair as I live in a very dry, desert mountain climate and not-conditioning my 2A/2B hair just makes me look wild. Typically, what I do is shampoo as needed and deep condition (weekly), but every time my hair is damp, I use prayer hands to work product through the mid shaft/ends then let it air dry.

  10. Pretty good. The product demonstrated satisfactory performance, albeit at a substantial cost. Despite meticulous adherence to the provided instructions, a significant portion of my hair, approximately four inches, had to be sacrificed in an attempt to salvage the damage. It is important to note that my hair had not undergone any extreme treatments such as bleaching. While the product did result in an improvement in hair texture, it did not live up to its promise of miraculous transformation. The initial application seemed promising, but the effects proved to be transient, with my hair reverting to its tangled and brittle state the following day. The product itself is relatively odorless. Given my hair type, which is on the finer side and was previously beyond my bust, I have had to cut it to around my collarbone length in order to eliminate the damage and start anew. I strongly recommend the use of henna as an alternative to conventional hair dyes, as I deeply regret my reliance on numerous box dyes. It appears that the positive effects of this product are short-lived, necessitating more frequent use than anticipated.

  11. Would it work. My wife has died her hair for more than 50 years. It was extremely damaged, then, and was falling out. So we took a Hail Mary, and tried the K18. It took several weeks, but her hair has stopped thinning, it is softer to the touch and the damage reduced significantly. We were worried, but we have reordered this and will continue to use.

  12. Miracle in a Bottle. I’ve been using the K18 Leave-In Treatment, and it’s a total game-changer for my hair! It works wonders on damaged hair from bleach, color treatments, and heat—my hair feels stronger, softer, and looks so much healthier. What I love is that it doesn’t just cover up damage, but actually restores it from the inside out, giving me that “like-new” texture. Plus, the results last without washing away, so it’s truly a treatment that keeps working over time!

  13. It’ll Transform Your Hair. This product has transformed my hair. It’s on the pricier side but it delivered significant results from the very first use.

  14. Worth the money if you can splurge. This hair product worked wonders on my hair, I splurged on this product because I heard wonderful great reviews about it. The price of this product is not ideal and I definitely think there are other products out there that one could use if they’re on a budget. The scent wasn’t too overpowering, and it was just right to make my hair smell and feel good.

  15. Not sure if it’s good for coarse curly hair in transition. I was really skeptical at first because it felt so odd to shampoo and not condition after.. but I followed its directions: I shampooed, towel dried my hair, and put this product in and left in for the 4 minutes. My hair did feel softer, less rough, yes, but I have a lot of coarse curly hair (transitioning from heat damage) I had to use like 7 pumps and this product is expensive. It made like 80% of my hair feel soft and the rest of it i had to use another leave in conditioner to take out the tangles my hair has. It’s an ok product but it’s my first time using it. Will continue using it!
