Surprisingly fantastic. I wanted a waterproof taupe cream eyeshadow (not necessarily a stick) and this deal finally popped up several pages into my search. I have a couple of Julep products i really like (blush sticks) and having seen many single Julep shadow sticks for about the same price as this duo, I really couldn’t resist. I was really late to the game but what I hoped to find was a dupe (or at least as close as possible) for the Pat McGrath metallic taupe shadow that much to my dismay, has been discontinued. I saw a youtube makeup influencer rave about the Pat McGrath shade, claiming it was the perfect “‘one and done” product especially for those with cool toned skin. So I spent some exhausting time trying to find the Pat McGrath shadow SOMEWHERE but nope, not a one to be found. Naturally the next step was to check amazon for something similar. I already loved the Julep multi stick blushes but buying makeup online (esp on Amazon) is pretty much a crap shoot. But since the words describing these two Julep shadow sticks ticked all the boxes, I figured, what the hay. When they arrived today, I was extremely happy that BOTH are fantastic colors for me and it’s really nice to have both a taupe matte and a shimmer option. I just hope these sticks wear as well as the blush sticks. The color of the matte taupe stick is what I consider neutral, meaning not warm but not cool either. The shimmer shade is definitely cool but I guess cool tones are finally in vogue again and I couldn’t be happier. This is a very creamy formula pretty much on par with the Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown formulas. And they are much much better than the Sephora brand shadow sticks, which I (unfortunately) tried first….don’t go there. These glide on and are great with and without a shadow primer. I get a sheerer wash when I don’t use a primer and more depth of color when I do. I can probably use these two sticks to do a very nice daytime as well as evening, smokey eye and probably in about 5 minutes (which is amazing…it takes me forever). The matte shade will probably be great for the lower lashline and I’m looking forward to using these to create a “fox” eye look too. So I definitely recommend this duo. When I realized I could get two shades with 2 different finishes for the same price as other sellers are asking for just one, I had to pull the trigger.
Great longevity, ok colors. I LOVE the Julep eyeshadow sticks. Super easy to apply and last all day (esp. with primer) on my very oily skin. I have gotten a lot more sensitive to eye makeup as I get older and these seem pretty mild on my skin. The Champagne color is great for everyday wear. Kind of a shimmery cream/gold color. The Desert Matte was a bit disappointing. I have very fair skin and it doesn’t show on me at all. From the pics it looks like a light tan/sand color, but is actually more of a very pale pink (shown in pic). It would work better as a base to build on, rather than a stand-alone color. The only other thing I don’t like is the sticks don’t seem to last very long which sucks bc they are a bit pricey, but I like them a lot more than anything else I’ve tried so I’ll probably keep forking over the $$.
Love the shimmer tube. The shimmer color is wonderful. I wear it a lot. Not a fan of the flat brown one, not flattering.
Stay on all day. Easy to use. These eyeshadows go on smooth. Easy to use and stay on all day. So easy to get the shadows on the right spot then blend it in with the end of the pen. I use 2 colors: light for under eyes and under brows l, darker for crease area. So very easy
Love Julep. I found this brand and loved it, tried another and ended up tossing them. This glides on easily and stays on and I love the natural look and ease of it.

Stay on all day. These are my favorite eyeshadow sticks. They are very pigmented and don’t take much to get a lot of coverage! They stay on all day long and don’t smudge off.
It’s perfect. I love these. Great as a creamy shadow that will lock in place after a minute or as a smudgy liner or highlighter. They don’t pull my skin when applying. After a minute or two they stay in place. Beautiful colors.
Love these eye shadows. After a lifetime of using powder shadows I decided to try these and am hooked. This eye shadow goes on smoothly, easily and looks pretty. They have a fantastic array of colors too.
coverage,& longevity. very easy to use& last all day, doesn’t dry your skin around your eyes out either , like pencils can do. great product, by far!
Smooth. Goes on really smoothly! Doesn’t tug on my eyelids as I apply. The colors are nice and blend well together. I do wish the set included a darker brown too.
Best eyeshadow ever. I cannot say enough about this eyeshadow. I do prefer the Matte colors as I am not in my 20s anymore. I use the shimmer colors to accent with.-I put it on and then I go over with a blending brush. There is a sponge brush on the actual shadow however, most people when they use it will end up just rubbing the eyeshadow off you want to lightly blend or buff in circles not wipe.. it’s staying power is it will be there until you take it off!!! They have a variety of color so you should be able to find one you need. I’m sorry I’m out want🤩
Beautiful Eyeshadow. I am 71 and was looking for eyeshadow that was natural looking, easy to apply, would not crease and stayed on all day. THIS IS IT! I took the advice of another reviewer who is much younger than me and purchased the 01 Champaign Shimmer (middle of lid), 27 Desert Matte (inner corner & under brow) & 12 Ochre Matte (crease). I applied with my finger and blended but you could easily use a brush. I have medium light skin tone with olive undertones & I am a Blue Autumn per my House of Color analysis. These eyeshadow colors go well with every color I wear. I hopes this helps.

Lovely. I ordered a single one, then these two and have another one on the way!Easy to apply. Glides on very smoothly and lightly. I do one or two swipes and blend a little with my finger. I prefer the finger over the attached sponge. The metallic has subtle sparkles. ✨ Flattering.Packaging is great as opposed to a pit because your fingers don’t touch the product.Stays on perfectly. You do need a remover of some sort. Won’t come off completely with cleanser and water. I use coconut oil. Takes it off easily and good for your skin. Win win!
Not the right color. I ordered sand shimmer and smoky tawny matte. I received ginger matte and sand shimmer. The ginger matte is a great color, but not what they say comes in the package. The product is nice. This is my first crème to powder eyeshadow stick. I would recommend.
great shimmery color. The champagne shimmer is my favorite color from the range offered by Julep. I use it with a bit of highlighter and mascara for a minimal daytime look. Wears well, too. Sometimes when I am too tired to take my makeup off at night, I wake up and barely need to reapply! I know not removing your make up at night is bad, but just saying!
They work great. Easy to use! If you want your eye shawdow to stay put – buy these!! The colors are expected, go on easy and lasts all day! No creasing!
